Please Help. Lost Mode Failed on My Stolen iPod Touch.

My iPod touch was stolen in Costa Rica in January. I immediately entered my iPod into "Lost Mode" yet whoever has it is still playing the games on my iPod and taking pictures (which is linked to my iPhone) so now I see their pictures and I'm concerned they can see mine. I tried re-entering into lost mode but it just keeps using the initial password I put in but the thief obviously already cracked that password. I don't know what else to do but I don't want someone with full access to all the music that I have spent MY hard earned money on and the games that I paid for and so on. I don't understand why lost mode didn't protect my personal information? What can I do?? Thank you.

as in the loop it shows the apple logo on the screen and right as it gets out of reboot it flashes white and goes back to the apple logo and does it none stop its not in DFU mode because ive tried, and by it quits it has to update before i can restore and in the middle of the update it gives me a notification with a number on it the number is really long and has alot of 0's and i think one 7 so i hope that help your question for my question

Try removing the Genius database. In the "Finder" go to the /username/Music/iTunes/ folder and delete the "iTunes Library Genius.itdb" file. This may allow the program to launch again. This file will be recreated upon first use of the "Genius" feature.

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

What do you mean, "is it unlocked"? If your iPod has a screen lock set, it will be obvious from the iPod's screen. For issues with the iPod not appearing in iTunes, start which these troubleshooting steps:

If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing - the app is for tracking an iOS device from another iOS device - then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled). Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. Note, though, that you'll only get the location of the WiFi router to which the iPod is connected; there's no way to pinpoint the exact location of the iPod itself.
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Notify the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).

I bought my last iPod Touch at the Bakersfield, California Valley Plaza Mall Target store, but a thief stole it from me at the Bakersfield, California Truxtun-and-S Kern County Beale Memorial Public Library when I, while walking around the second floor for some exercise, had kept it on one of the patron second-floor desks still attached to my Motion Computing Tablet PC during downloading an OS update. The last post I had added to that same iPod Touch was a video of the use of a Spencer ******** sleeve with some lubrication they don't sell in their store. Yet, that video got stuck in transit in a holding cell while a new iOS update began. If that thief ever turns on my iPod Touch, my PC will notify me of that pod's whereabouts immediately. Why did that iOS update occur right at that moment when that same ******** video was to be either accepted or rejected as too obscene? My face is not in the video, which, in spite of its sexual content, might actually be educational and perhaps also business savvy. I made and posted the video because I wanted to convey my need for a real person to make love to, certainly not an object at all. The ******** sleeve makes my ***** look ridiculously like Alice in Wonderland dressed in her rings as depicted in some of the original illustrations in that fictional title's original book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. Why did those spies get really calm and quiet all of a sudden?! Can someone please find my stolen iPod Touch for me? No one can find it for you. If you did not set up Find My Phone, then it cannot be found.
