Interesting. This sort of thing is more common on Windows systems. Taken at face value, one of the iTunes program files (one of the Japanese language resources) is damaged.
I'd try running your Disk Utility over your startup disk. Does it find/repair any damage? If so can you empty your trash and reinstall your iTunes successfully now?

HELP NEEDED - iTunes.exe -Corrupt File
I am getting this error message everytime I plug in my iPod to update thru iTunes.

The file or directory/iPod_ControliTunes/TempFile is corrupt & unreadable.
Please run the Chkdsk utility.
So my question is....how do I backup all the songs and playlists so that I do not lose them. And then do I just run the dist that came with the iPod to start it over again and if so do I delete the old Itunes?
Plese help I would like to save the songs, restore iTunes somehow and be able to bring back the songs with nothing lost.In Windows, the default location of your songs is:
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
Your 'iTunes library' file which hold all playlists, locations of songs, ratings etc. is located in:
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl
Copy the complete iTunes directory to your backup device.
That way, you will copy all songs and library information.
After fixing the problem with the corrupt file, put the files back to the location they came from (if necessary).
In my very limited experience with the chkdsk utility, no files were lost, but it is always wise to have a backup in case something goes wrong.

well, you probably have a corrupt file as the message indicates. You will need to reset your phone back to factory settings as indicated.
If you've been using your phone as designed, you've been making frequent backups so that data loss will be minimal, if at all.

Hi all, I desperately need help.
On my Mac Mini running Yosemite 'Disk Utility' is telling me that the Mac's internal HDD is faulty and needs to be replaced and that's fine because I'll buy a new HDD, BUT I need to copy off some important .PDF files from the Mac's internal HDD and I've been doing this using a new external USB HDD, but I was just reading that when a Mac's internal HDD becomes faulty it's very likely that the files on it are corrupted.
I'm VERY worried that my .PDF files(which are ebooks) have been corrupted and that when I try to read them the .PDF files will be altered in such a way that I get the completely wrong impression and the wrong understanding from the .PDF files. What can I do to check that the .PDF files haven't been altered?
Thank you for any help!If these ebooks are purchased you should check if you can re-download them - that is a simple way to guarantee they are in the original working order.
Otherwise open the files & look if they are damaged.
I would also suggest you power off the Mac & get your new disk. Running a falling disk could cause damage to files that are saved back to disk - it is a slim chance but not impossible - you need to reduce the risk. If you have a USB thumb drive large enough make a copy of the ebooks now.
Also I would suggest you buy another disk & start making full backups of your important files - that would help you in situations like this. Time Machine or regular clones are essential - Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper! will do that.

I have downloaded 3 time (1 hour each time) the download stops at 9.5 MB (not the 11.9 MB the download states) and when I try to open it the warning comes back as File Corrupt. Is this a built in stop of the old Firefox or just the telephone companies lack of providing a good service. Also I waited the 20 minutes for live help and am now looking at internet explorer as a new possibility of changing to that.
It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Please help with problem in PDF file and printing
I have created an Illustrator file with a logo on it. The logo looks fine in Illustrator (CS3 and CS5). If I use "save as" to then save the .ai file to a .pdf file, the logo looks the same as in the .ai file. However, if I use "print" to create a .pdf file, the logo sometimes loses some of the elements in it.

Below is what it looks like when I use "print" to generate the PDF file:
An additional problem is that even if I used "save as" to generate the pdf file, some times, when the file is actually printed physically onto paper, the logo appears in the wrong version (although it looks right on screen).
Can someone help me with this? I am quite desparet right now because I can't see how I can control this.
Also, is there any way I can attached the .ai file so someone can look at it?
The white lines that disappear are not "lines" they are a slightly larger shape placed behind the smaller black one in fonrt.

Every time I plug my ipod into my computer iTunes will open, and in my task bar it will read iTunes.exe - Corrupt File. The File or Directory\iPod_control is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility. Every time I go to click on this it disapears, and it is impossible to restore because iTunes doesnt show it as being plugged in. What can I do? the chkdsk issue isn't usually associated with CD hassles (at least, i don't think it is) ... so if you're still having troubles once you've got this one fixed, try reposting again over at Importing and Burning.
But for the chkdsk, you should first proceed to one of the two classic bodies of work in the field:

Corrupt file and iTunes not recognizing
Okay. This is going to be long. My friend wanted me to put some songs on her iPod Nano (1 GB first generation). I did it once before and everything worked perfectly, but this time, I was uploading songs onto it, and all of a sudden there's this 'Uknown error' message. Then iTunes disconnects it. I reconnected it, and it wouldn't let any songs be put onto it and all the songs were erased. I tried to restore it (And as far as I know I have the latest version of iTunes), and after I did that, iTunes doesn't even recognize it anymore, and in the bottom right corner of my toolbar on my computer it says That my iTunes and Music folder on the ipod is corrupted and that I should use the Chkdsk thing. I used it, and nothing happened. I'm really confused now. Anyone else run into this kind of thing?

Please help! Itunes fails to open on my macbook pro. I have removed itunes and reinstalled it and it still will not work!
Try removing the Genius database. In the "Finder" go to the /username/Music/iTunes/ folder and delete the "iTunes Library Genius.itdb" file. This may allow the program to launch again. This file will be recreated upon first use of the "Genius" feature.
