Please Help. Photoshop installation failed half way through

Initially I had downloaded the photoshop CC2014 trial once, I paid I wanted the CC version because I need the oil paint function which was taken out on the CC2014 version, so what I did is uninstall the CC2014 which was installed and working and proceeded to install the CC version but midway through installation it kept failing and telling me to restart my computer, I have done that at least half a dozen times, plus I've also tried the following:
> I uninstalled every adobe app I had including CC
> I have used the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner tool app
> Have restarted my computer so many times I lost count and I still get the same error, half way through the installation process
> And now the same thing is happening when I try to reinstall illustrator, this is a nightmare!
BTW I'm not running any other software while doing this and have turned off the fire walls
I'm on an Imac OS X version 10.9.5
Please help I've spent so manny hours trying to solve this, it's driving me crazy and need to complete some work in photoshop I have deadline.

Whilst trying to install Leopard onto my ibook g4, it stopped working because of a minor scratch on the disk. This meant that when I had to restart my laptop it tries to run it from leopard instead of tiger. As there is only 20% of the operating system on the computer it does not work and just stays on the grey opening screen. The disk is also still stuck in the drive and there is no way of getting it out. Is there anyway of rebooting the computer or will I have to send it back to apple? Thanks

Parke ahs a great idea. Also:
Clean the disk. Barely dampen some toilet paper, and wipe the surface. Avoid getting any in the hole, and if you do, make cetain to wipe it. Then, with another wad, wipe the disk dry. Be very deliberate.
Look at the top side of the disk (hold it to a light). If the top is scratched, the disk is toast. Get another.

  • Creative Cloud Installer gets half way through downloading the desktop app then just disappears, without downloading, why is that?

Creative Cloud Installer gets half way through downloading the desktop app then just disappears, without downloading, why is that?
I have recently purchased a student subscription to the 'complete package', my credit card was charged.  Then I download the Creative Cloud Installer from the website, that's fine, then I double click the Creative Cloud Installer as per instructions, it starts downloading the desktop app, but only gets to about halfway then just disappears.
I've tried using both safari and chrome, restarting my computer, but neither has worked.
I have noticed that the website will not keep me logged in for long either, it keeps switching to BUY instead of DOWNLOAD.
    Any ideas?

  • Satellite recovery failed half way through, now nothing.

I was recently brought a Satellite L300 series by a friend with a complaint that it would not boot into Vista, got as far as the start up timer bar but no further and then just sat there for hours, over 12 by the way at last count, and still no windows.
Anyway after numerous attempts to do a start up repair, with exactly the same results, hours or nothing happening, my only suggestion was a complete re-install from the onboard copy of the operating system, hence back to factory defaults.
Followed the normal procedure, and set the thing going on a full re-install, should take about 30 mins normally from past experience of this laptop, though I have to say this one has always been abnormally slow at times to do anything.
Coffee, a read of the news and back to the bench, !!!!!????. laptops shut down, work shops in darkness, main breakers tripped and the laptops battery has run down and shut it off........HALF WAY THROUGH THE RECOVERY.
Now all it does is load to a page that informs me a file is missing/corrupt and stops with enter/esc options and back we go to the same page again, thing is now a useless peice of junk unless i can get it to complete the install for which it gives no options or clue as to how to proceed.
No recovery discs are available for this one,  though one has been ordered and is on the way.
    My questions are simple really.
A, has anyone any sensible suggestions as to how to proceed to complete the process.
B, why have Toshiba not forseen this problem and taken steps to formulate a solution.
C, how many perfectly good laptops have been junked simply because of this problem.
    Regards.
    Cypherus.

  • Bought photoshop and gets half way through downloading and my macbook crashes.

I have bought Photoshop after using a trial. I uninstalled the trial and everything to do with it and yet when it comes to downloading Photoshop through creative cloud it gets part way through and my whole macbook crashes. I'm wondering whether this is my macbook or photoshop?

  • Restore from Time Machine Backup fails half-way through...

I'm trying to fix my mom's 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo 24" Aluminum iMac (w/ 2GB of RAM). It was stuck on the white screen with the Apple logo and a spinning wheel. I tried a few things to get it to boot up but nothing worked, so I booted up using my OX 10.5 Leopard disk (the retail box version) and tried to repair the disk using Disk Utility. Disk Utility couldn't un-mount the disk so I decided to erase the disk and start from scratch.
So I erased the disk and formatted in OS Extended (Journaled). Then I ran the repair disk function and the disk checks out OK. So, here is my problem:
When I tried to restore from a Time Machine backup, everything worked normally until it got about 20% through the restore process. At that point it froze for a while and then gave me an error message that the restore failed and asked if I would like to restart?
I've tried this a few times, all with approximately the same result (it either freezes or gives me the error/restart message).
What's wrong with my mom's computer?

    c.d.stone wrote:
The restore process is just spinning it's wheels and the log says "erasing" drive name.
Is the drive name your internal?
UPDATE: When I stopped the restore function I checked the error log again and it said "could not un-mount disk for erasure" Not sure what that means. Anyone know how to fix that?
I'm pretty sure something is wrong with the hard drive installed on the iMac at this point. I tried to do a clean install of 10.5.0 from the Leopard retail DVD and that stalled early in the process as well.
Yes, it sure sounds like it. It now sounds like both the TM restore and Erase and Install are unable to erase your internal HD. It's not even getting to your TM backups, or installing OSX.
Let's double-check and try again. Boot from the Install disc again, and completely reformat the internal HD. Be sure to use the GUID Partition Map scheme if it's an Intel Mac, or the +Apple Partition Map+ scheme if it's a PPC. And use the +Mac OS Extended (Journaled)+ format.
It might be worth taking the time to then do a +Zero Out.+ Select Erase, then +Security Options,+ then +Zero Out Disk+ (the one-pass option is sufficient). That will, obviously, write zeros to the entire disk. If this fails, the disk is dying and likely the cause of the whole mess. If it passes, it isn't necessarily ok, but it's a pretty good sign, and you may be able to proceed with the restore.

  • Installation stuck half way through.

I am in the middle of reinstaling tiger on my computer. Disk 1 installed fine. I put in disk 2 when it asked me. It then says "preparing for installation, installing garadge band app" then stops.
The installer window closes leaving just a blue screen and then starts again. It does this over and over again.
I cannot quit, force quit the os x installer or do any thing. If i remove disk 2 it asks for it again. If I restart the computer it just starts trying to install tiger again from disk 2.
    What should I do??

Parke ahs a great idea. Also:
Clean the disk. Barely dampen some toilet paper, and wipe the surface. Avoid getting any in the hole, and if you do, make cetain to wipe it. Then, with another wad, wipe the disk dry. Be very deliberate.

  • I have reset an Ipod 4g, and everytime I try to install ios 6.0, half way through is says failed.  Can anyone help me please?  I have tried 5 times... :(

I recently purchased an Ipod 4G from a family friend.  When I set up my account, I originally was going to keep some of the items on it but found they were not appropriate for my 10 yr old.  So I reset the IPOD erasing everything and started new.  After numerous attempts, I have not been successful, at installing ios 6.0.  About half way through the process it says, download failed.
Is there a trick to doing this, or is something wrong?  Please help.
    Thanks,
    Twilasangel

Assuming you are doing it by connecting the iPod to your computer and restoring via iTunes, at what stage of the process (what is listed in the status bar of iTunes) when it fails?

I'm sorry to learn that you have endured the audio issues outlined in your post for almost 2 years SusanLM1! This is certainly not normal! Let's get to the bottom of this issue, first please confirm your phone model; your mention that you have the iPhone 5 but your post is on the iPhone 5S forum. Also, share the iOS version currently installed on your phone. What is your ZIP code? Does this happen mainly while you make/receive calls from a particular location (home, office, etc)?
