Please help with 3d tv purchase!
okay i went out on a limb and purchased a lg 55lw5300 3d tv from best buy. it came with the four glasses and blu ray player. I am sorry to say i did miminal research before purchasing this item due to time issues (i know it was dumb). my question is does anyone know how the 3d will look with espn 3d's 720 side by side broadcasting and do you think i should return it and go with the samsung pn59d6500 or any other models within a 2000 budget.

Dude, slow down! Do not take anything back. I think you made a great choice by getting an LG 3D TV rather than a Samsung. First of all, those four pairs of free glasses? You're gonna love them. Trust me They're lightweight, flicker free and easy to replace. Considering what you said, I don't know if you're already aware about different kinds of 3D TV but just in case, I'll fill you in. There are passive and active 3D TVs. Your LG is a passive model and Samsung TVs are usually active.
Passive models are flicker free (LG's are certified flicker free) so that means no headaches or nausea, no matter how long you view.
Active models require battery 3D Glasses that are heavyweight and usually uncomfortable. You have to recharge them after every viewing because the flicker will get worse if you don't.
I'm not trying to bash Samsung here, alright? I do admit that they've got spectacular HD quality but sometimes, this does add to the flicker (each eye trying to receive such high quality images one at a time, not even together)
ESPN in 3D will look great, I think... I haven't tried it myself but Cinema 3D has a respectable 3D effect... Also, there's that 2D to 3D conversion feature so you can watch any other show in 3D..
i think you're in luck that, after only minimal research, you got a pretty decent 3D TV that will not disappoint!

I have finally decided that since I am planning a trip to US it would be a wonderful opportunity to purchase a Mac and fulfill my dream!
Despite the fact that I was thinking of purchasing an iMac for a desktop computer (my office laptop is a windows 8) I ended up in selecting a MacBook Pro 15 retina as a desktop replacement combining increased portability and enhanced specifications. The use is strictly personal meaning transferring and listening to music, home movies editing, watching movies, Internet and generally transferring all my home staff to apple ecosystem using also external drives.
Now the serious staff: since I have a one time opportunity ( the trip is not repetitive) I would extremely appreciate your help in the following:
- my current selection is with 2,7 ghz quad core i7 with 8 gb ram and 512 flash. How is this configuration compared to the basic one? Basically I chose the 2.7 because of the relatively small price difference and the increased hard drives because of future programs installations (all storage will be done in time capsule and external drives)
- since I have to purchase it now when Mavericks are released will the update require payment (based on your experience from the past)
- how do the above compare to the new MacBook Air (if it is worthwhile I would go to an enhanced version of the 13")

We do not know yet what Mavericks will cost or what machines Apple will update for free but based on past experience it will probably not be a free update unless you purchase the computer after Mavericks has been released to the public. As recent operating system upgrades have been relatively inexpensive - Mountain Lion was $20 - I wouldn't worry a lot about this.
I agree with your choice of the 512GB SSD. The bigger the better as application files and data are only going to get larger. The faster processor may not make enough difference for your intended uses to make it worth the extra money however.
The retina display on the MacBook Pro is quite a bit better than the MacBook Air.

How can I sync my iPhone on a different computer without erasing my applications? My iPhone was earlier synced with a PC which I don't use anymore.

Can you please help me. I purchased the new Apple I 4s phone from AT&T. I bought it out right. NO CONTRACT!! I paid almost $1000.00 for it. I then, had it enrolled it in my company's ATT service plan. They paid the bill for my service. Since, I have left the company. I have retained, and assumed financial responsibility for the phone, and the phone number with AT&T. The same day I assumed ifinancial responsibility, I had the phone number ported to a new service provider. ( Straight Talk ) After doing so, my phone worked fine. (as far as cellular service) NO DATA Service !!!! I have been on the phone with AT&T, Straight Talk, and Apple, FOR HOURS over TWO days!!! Trying to get this problem resolved. All I need to do, is change my APN settings (access point name ) settings. Its my phone!!! Why does any body have this APN menu locked from me??? I've been on the phone for two days between, AT&T, Straight Talk, and Apple products technical support teams. Everybody points the finger at the next guy!! What can I do to get the phone, that I paid for, work for more than just a phone, and a paper weigh?

I have the new iPhone 4s. I'm using cloud. I try to sync my playlists to my phone an it either erases them completely or keeps saying it cannot move all music files over? Please help. Also my purchased ringtones will not sync up as well.
iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

Am using Photoshop Elements 8 and trying to make a slideshow. Have tried 4 times now and keep ending up with same problem, cannot reopen project to continue edititing. Won't show up in orginizer and when I find on harddrive and try to open get message " wmv file cannot be opened". How can I save a

You need to save the slideshow project in order to be able to go back later and make changes or additions to an existing slideshow . The wmv file is a final output format.
Now you are most probably using only the Output command: that is what makes the wmv file.
You should also do the Save Project command. (and I make it a practice to do the Save Project command before I do the Output command).
If you look at the Elements Organizer 8 Help, there is a topic on "Create a slide show".
-- Very close to the beginning of that topic is a screen shot of the Sldie Show Editor screen,
-- The bar below the usual menu bar is labeled with a "B" and called the Shortcuts bar.
-- The 1st entry on that Shortcuts bar is "Save Project"
It is the Save Project command that saves the information about which photos, audio, etc you placed in that specific slide show so that you can come back again to do subsequent editing. Save each Project with a unique name.
After completing the Save Project command, you shoud see an "icon" in the Organizer for that slide show.
Note: you must also keep the photo files and audio files which you have used in this slide show: you can't delete them because the project file does NOT contain a copy of the photos, it only has the identification and folder location of the photo and audio files.

If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

PowerPC refers to the processing chip used by Apple before they transferred to Intel chips. They are very different, and applications written only for PPC Macs cannot work on a Mac running Lion.
You could contact the developers to see if they have an updated version in the pipeline. -

-I created a UML model with Papyrus tool and I applied MARTE profile to this UML model.
-Then, I applied <<PaStep>> stereotype to an AcceptEventAction ( which is one of the element that I created in this model ), and set the extOpDemand property of the stereotype to 2.7 with Papyrus.
-Now In the ETL file, I can find the stereotype property of extOpDemand as follows :
s.attribute.selectOne(a|a.name="extOpDemand") , where s is a variable of type Stereotype.
-However I can't access the value 2.7 of the extOpDemand attribute of the <<PaStep>> Stereotype. How do I do that ?

Instructions for reproducing the problem :
1-Run the uml2etl.etl transformation with the supplied launch configuration.
2-Open lqn.model.
There are two folders inside MinimalExample folder, the one which is called MinimalExample has 4 files, model.uml , lqn.model, uml2lqn.etl and MinimalExampleTransformation.launch.
The other folder which is LQN has four files. (.project),LQN.emf,LQN.ecore and untitled.model which is an example model conforming to the LQN metamodel to see how the model looks like.
