If it's in recovery mode, anything on the phone is already gone. Restore the phone using iTunes, then restore it from your last backup. If you've been backing up on a regular basis as intended, you won't lose anything except what's changed since the last backup.

If you didn't back it up, your data is gone. There is no "solution" after the fact.

Ok try and reset the ipod while it is plugged into the computer. Also you can try to use a different usb port and make sure that all other usb devices except the keyboard and the mouse are not plugged in. Also try and change the drive letter on the ipod. To change the drive letter type in on the search box on the support page "how to change the drive letter on the ipod." If none of these steps work type in on the support page "msconfig." You can also try and take the ipod to another computer to see if that works. If it shows up on another computer it may be a problem with your computer. If the ipod doesn't show up take the ipod to the nearest apple store, or contact technical support to set the ipod up for repair.

Thanks for your help. What is really irritating is that Apple give a big hurray about what they have added as "new" in Pages 5 (most of it pretty useless) without telling you of the myriad things they have deleted. If they had shown the list your gave the link to, I doubt may regular users would risked going to Mavericks with its auto upgrade. My partner got the message in time and is sticking with the earlier operating systems and Pages on Mac and iPad. Lucky girl.
I have found a way to use my iPad to add chapters written while on the move to reports on my iMac Pages 4.3. If I write it on the new Pages on the iMac (don't seem to be able to revert there), the send the report as an email in WORD format (not Pages) and download it in the Text Editor, then cut and paste into the story on the iMac. Hardly elegant but it works.

Go to your carrier and get a SIM card. Whether it is free or not is up to them.

IPhone 4s call waiting; how do I get back to the first call?

When I'm on a call and a second call comes in I tap "hold current call and answer." I get connected to the second call and the first call is put on hold. But when I am done with the second call, how do I get back to the first call? I can't find any way to get back to the call that is on hold. I usually end up hanging up on both calls. Not good.
Also, how do I switch back and forth between two calls? How do I put the second call on hold, go back to the first call to tell that person I must call them back, then return to the second call?

I have no idea what you did or what happened - but I can assure you that loading from a different camera does not create a new library
So you need to supply information and someone here will assist you in sorting this out and figuring out what you really did
What version of iPhoto do you have? What version of the OS? Why do you think that a second library has been created? What do you see when you launch iPhoto with the optipon kep depressed and use the select library option? Where is your iPhoto library normally?
Anything else you can tell us that might help?

In that case press My Songs to get to screen where the songs are displayed. Then you can press the + at the bottom of the screen to create a new song where you can experiment. Or, as Carolyn says, press Instruments, however in this case anything you want to record will be added to or overwrite part of the current song.
