Screens, like them? hate them? also, how to use actionscript with them.
So I haven't used a flash version since Flash 8. I've now been given CS4 and inheritid a flash document that uses screens. After 2 weeks of figuring out how the presentation is made to 'go' from slide to slide on keydown, I finally discovered today that it is the default behaviour.
Ok, so this leads me to my next question. How do people here feel about screens? Like them? Hate them? I feel like I could do half of this stuff easier with actionscript. I feel constrained by this. Not to mention I put some animation into a movie clip and it seems like it's not playing, like it's just poping right to the stop action at the end of that clip.
Can anyone tell me how to use actionscript with screens? I looked at help, but of course, the help file doesn't give me what I really need to know. I'd like to put my actions on frame one of the root and let that control everything else. But what is the syntax like? The help file recommends external scripts, but that is not an option as the CEO takes this presentation with him and I can't risk having him lose the code.
Please give me any advice you may have. Thank you!
StanNot that I'm any kind of expert on this matter, but I've never heard of screens, at least not by that name, and I have been fiddling with Flash for about 9 years now (like this case, I still learn new things all the time... though I'm still clueless as to what they are... chances are I won't miss 'em).
When you mentioned scenes though, my personal recommendation is along the party lines of avoid them like the plague... use one timeline and/or movieclips for everything. I have never used them in my own work, and my bias is partly due to having inherited them in other people's work... they make it hard to find things, especially when you have to first discover they're being used to begin with. From a technical stance, I have found them to be problematic to manage as far as navigation goes. -

Here is an example of what I do.
To create PQ problems I use a California Instruments AC source set to nominal power for the unit under test. Using Labview I program several transients consisting of fixed and random duration dropouts and surges. I also use a Schaffer Fast Transient Burst Generator to apply high frequency noise bursts directly onto power lines.
For measuring power quality I use a Voltech PM3000A power analyzer and Labview to measure everything from voltage, current, and frequency, to harmonics and %THD

If deleting then reinstalling the apps doesn't work, then contact the app developer for support.
It sounds, though, like your internet connection is simply very slow.
Try making a backup, then restoring the iPhone as new, and testing again. -

Create custom authorization Customer specific object
If you have requirements that cannot be met using the P_ORGIN and P_ORGXX authorization objects (for example, because you want to build your authorization checks on additional fields of the Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) that are customer-specific), you can include an authorization object in the authorization checks yourself.
Create the authorization object using transaction SU21. Make sure you keep to the customer name range (Z/Y). To be able to use the new authorization object you have created in the master data authorization check, the object must contain the INFTY, SUBTY, and AUTHC fields. You can use any of the fields of the Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) for the other fields. You can also use customer-specific additional fields provided they are CHAR or NUMC type fields.
After you have created the object, you must start the RPUACG00 report. This report overwrites the MPPAUTZZ standard include with the code that is needed to evaluate the authorization object you created. Note: Technically speaking, this involves a modification. However, SAP fully supports this procedure. And you should not have more maintenance work as a result of this modification.
Note: that if you use customer-specific authorization objects, you must maintain these objects in transaction SU24 (Maintain Assignment of Authorization Objects to Transactions) in the same way as you maintain the authorization objects P_ORGIN, P_ORGXX, and P_PERNR

"class.forName....for method" Where did you get this idea?He's perfectly correct. JDBC 4.0 takes advantage of the Java SE Service Provide mechanism in Java 6 to do away with the requirement. So, if you have Java 6 and a JDBC 4 driver (it's a mandatory feature) you simply omit the forName() call.
The only problem is that there aren't that many complete JDBC 4 drivers out there yet. -

If it's in recovery mode, anything on the phone is already gone. Restore the phone using iTunes, then restore it from your last backup. If you've been backing up on a regular basis as intended, you won't lose anything except what's changed since the last backup.
