PNPCE in ABAP Query !!! Slection is not working completely

Hi
  I have developed an ABAP query using LDB PNPCE. I am reading data from IT000,IT0001 etc . I test the query in QA and I noticed that the PNCPCE screen doesn’t care about the selection in query. Like I have given the date range in PNCPE default screen. But it’s not filtering that data at all. It pulling up the employee’s regardless of date, it behaves the same for field action type (P0000-MASSn). The surprising thing is that for company code its working fine. My question is that Why PNPCE standard screen-selection not filtering data in ABAP query.
Did any one of you also experience that?
<u>
<b>FYI</b></u>
I also find an OSS note # 730005 but we are already on 52 Patch !!
OSS note :PNPCE: Incorrect data of infotype 0000 and 0001
Symptom
When you carry out a reprot which is based on logical database PNPCE, errors occur during the processing of infotypes 0000 and 0001.
Other terms
PNPCE, AS PERSON, P0000, P0001, data selection period, person selection period, CHECK_IT_0000_DATA_RESTRICTED, CHECK_IT_0001_DATA_RESTRICTED
Reason and Prerequisites
You start a report which is based on logical database PNPCE. In the report, infotype 0000 or 0001 is processed (that is, it was declared via the INFOTYPES statement). At event 'GET GROUP' or 'GET PERAS', the system either returns too few data records in the infotype tables or it returns data records twice.
The error (missing data records) has only occured since the implementation of Note 687004 or the import of Support Package SAPKE47028.
Solution
Implement the attached corrections. or import the corresponding Support Package.
Thanks

Hi Saquib,
   Recently i am facing the same issue can u pls do reply how you have overcome this issue..The data is not getting picked up at the right time it is lately picked up by the program . Earlier it was PNP and it has been changed to PNPCE also we had implemented OSS Note 687004 and the later's Notes  were also implemented but still now we are unable to track down why there is delay in picking up the records this has been happening for the past 8-10 Months(i m not sure far more before). I am finding 2 main issues,
1. we are using GET peras in PNPCE and no other event after that may be this is not fetching all the data because my selection screen does contain PERSONID where i suppose there should be GET PERSON event to define it
2. RP_READ_INFOTYPE macro while using for P0000 ,, the code in the macro is such that it fetches using P0001 also ...I suppose if there are any inconsistency between IT0 and IT1 then this might one to take care ...
kindly let me know how you have approached to resolve this issue.

  • ABAP/4 Key is not working in BI 7.0 version

    Hello,
    Some reason my ABAP/4 key is not working on BI 7.0 few months back I created few ABAP programs
    When i try to create a new program using t-code SE38 and program name as 0201 then create button then system will ask ABAP key when i enter its giving error message "incorrect entry"
    What would be the reason?
    Thanks

    well, normally a report has to start with Z or Y. So what key is system asking for? Developer key, which you have already entered a few month ago, or a 'modification' key?
    Are you creating this report with the same user name?
    Have a look at table DEVACCESS in transaction SE11. here you will find all the users and there developer keys.
    Are you creating these report on the same installation as a few month ago, or did something change in the mean time?

  • Query level filter not working in Webi report

    Hi All,
    I am using BOXI R3.1 (SP3), m facing one problem when refreshing Webi report on daily basis. I am using three query level filter as a prompt, but i checked one filter is not working then i need to reapply this filter and rest 2 filter is working fine.
    Can anyone suggest me why problem is coming?
    Regards,

    Hi,
    Prompts are interactive, and come from the query panel. Filters are not interactive, and are set on the report or block. There are also input controls, which are interactive filters
    1. Select the universe in the list of universes to open the Query Panel.
    2. Drag the Year object to the Result Objects pane.
    3. Drag the Number of Guests object to the Query Filters pane and create a report filter that restricts Number of Guests to greater than n.
    4. Click Combined Query.
    The Combined Query pane appears in the bottom left of the Query panel with the two queries joined by UNION.
    5. Click on the second query and remove the Year and Number of Guests objects.
    6. Drag the Reservation Year object to the Result Objects pane.
    7. Drag the Future Guests object to the Query Filters pane and create a report filter that restricts the future guests to greater than n.
    8. Click Run Query.

  • Query remote table not working in PL/SQL

    I have a problem that is killing me to figure out. Basically we trying to query a remote table through PL/SQL and it comes back with invalid column name for the table. But the table exists in the remote database and has the column. The query works fine from the same database outside of PL/SQL, just not in PL/SQL. I'll setup a test case below.
    We have local database called DB1 and remote database called DB2. The table we are querying is called EMP.
    First we create database link:
    create database link DB2.WORLD connect to...
    Test the link:
    select ENAME from [email protected];
    ENAME
    SHAWN
    Works fine.
    Now we put this query inside a PL/SQL block:
    declare
    l_ename varchar2(20);
    begin
    select ename into l_ename from [email protected];
    end;
    This fails with the following error:
    select ename
    ERROR at line 274:
    ORA-06550: line 274, column 7:
    PL/SQL: ORA-00904: invalid column name
    ORA-06550: line 271, column 3:
    PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
    ORA-06550: line 279, column 9:
    PL/SQL: ORA-00904: invalid column name
    ORA-06550: line 277, column 3:
    PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
    Now, I've tried changing how we select from the remote table, I've put the select statement in a cursor, tried creating a synonym which points to the remote table and selecting using the synonym in PL/SQL, it always returns the same error. But always works outside of PL/SQL.
    Now the user we are connecting to the remote database as, has select on the EMP table, through a role, along with 30 other tables, all the other tables are able to be selected through the database link, in PL/SQL, it's just this one table.
    Additionally I can go to another database, and create the same database link, and the query in PL/SQL works fine to the remote table. It's just this one table, from this one database, that doesn't work just in PL/SQL. Any ideas would be appreciated, I've exhausted everything.
    Also, creating a copy of the table using "create table as select * from..." we can select from the copy of the table using PL/SQL through the database link. The problem is this is a central warehouse table, and is used my multiple applications and updated constantly, so dropping a recreating this table is a last resort.
    Yes, this process did work, for over a year, then suddenly it stopped. Of course, no one made any changes to either database, that's always the case. I know the code didn't change though, it was still timestamped from a year ago.
    Thanks in advance.

    Could this be a variant on an old favourite, viz privileges being granted through roles. We cannot use objects in PL/SQL if our privileges are assigned through a role.
    Maybe what has changed is that instead of being granted privileges on EMP@DB2 directly the privileges have been re-organised so that your user has them granted through a role.
    Cheers, APC

  • ABAP centered role assignment not working

    I have been trying to implement ABAP centered role assignment for our users but not really having much luck in gettng it to work. I've been trying to make sense of it by using [the help guide|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/d2/3e3842b23d690de10000000a155106/frameset.htm] but I must be doing someting wrong. Here are the steps that  take.
    1. Create a single ABAP role - A single role with no menu or authorizatons
    2. Create a UME Group - I name the group exactly the same as the ABAP single role from the previous step
    3. Assign UME Group to Portal Role
    4. Assign mapped user to ABAP role
    Supposedly the ABAP role assingment is supposed to reflect through to the UME group membership so the portal user then sees the associated portal tab.
    Can you enlighten me?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    I 'm facing same kind of problem.
    Case 1:
    I tried with:
                      Assigning users to group (abap role) which didn't worked.
                      Assigning UME Role to group (abap role) which worked. Then i assigned the user to the UME Role, but the user is not getting the backend authorizations.
                      Assigning the portal role to the group (abap role), then when i assiged a user to the abap role from R/3 automatically the user is getting the portal role.
    How can i do the same from portal?
    Case2:
    While distributing the portal roles to the ABAP system (System Administrator -> Permissions -> SAP Authorizations), the status is showing as "Role transfer compleated". but when i checked from the R/3 transaction WP3R, there are no portal roles.
    Why are the portal roles not getting transfered even though the status is green?

  • Passing Mutivalue Constant Query Filter is not working

    Hi All,
    I am using Webi4.0.On the Query panel when I try to pass multiple values to a constant filter it does not work.For example if I try to apply State filter in my Query and if I select Constant as its type and type A,B then Webi takes only A in the query and not B.
    I know it a simple task but however it is not working.
    Any help on this will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Riddhi,
    Can you pls put scrrenshot how you are passing multiple value to filter.

  • I changed an existing abap query ME80FN but not find in production system.

    Hi,
    I have changed an ABAP QUERY  ME80FN for user group SAPQUERY/ME in Dev system via transaction SQ01 & SQ02.
    But when I am searching for same query in Production via transaction SQ01 it is not existing.
    Please give me some inputs.
    Thanks,
    Jwala

    Hi Jwala
    1. Check if that ABAP query is transported to production or not.
    or
    check the versions of the ABAP Query in dev w.r.t Production so that you will know the status of the program in production.

  • XMII Query Selected tags not working

    I am using a query template for tag list against a UDS PI server and the "Selected Tags" dos not seem to wok. It retuns all tags or masked ones even when the check box "Use Group.Mask .....'  is unchecked.
    The UDS does not have groups since the alias tool  doesn't seem to allow wildcarding accomadating future tags.
    Product Version: 11.5.3 b66
    Thanks, Ed (for Shari)

    Hi,
    As Jeremy said, 'Use Group or Mask for Tag selection' is used for Current, History, HistoryEvent, and Statistics query modes. For namespace query modes such as TagList/GroupList it will not work. Please find the below link for you help:

  • WSUS not working completely, no MMC connect, all web services are not working

    Hello all,
    I have a problem not sure what causing it or what is the source of it as I am not into WSUS that much...
    THe status is as follows:
    I have 1 server 2008 sp2 RTM x64, I had WSUS 3.0 SP2 on it since a while, it was working fine until a week ago, when I started receiving the below messages in the event viewer
    I have spent too much time trying to trace or troubleshoot this issue, but all I got was to check the registry and check permissions on the temp folder and other folders, I have done complete removal with the database for the old WSUS and reinstalled it
    again but I got the same problem
    Nothing strange and no problems happened on the server perior to this issue, it just happened...
    Any help will be appreciated
    Regards

    So, in reality, this issue has nothing at all to do with "it was working; now it is not", because you've destroyed all of the evidence that would exist in a "was working; now is not" scenario. What we really have here is a NEW installation that has failed.
    So, from the perspective of a NEW installation that is not working...
    Are there any other roles, features, services, or applications installed on this server?
    Did you install the Web Server Role exactly as described in the documentation?
    Did you install the WSUS Role exactly as described in the documentation?
    Were there any other roles, features, services, or applications installed onto this server
    after your original (working) installation of WSUS?

    Oh, well, I have red and followed the documentation exactly step-by-step on the technet library, and I can guarantee you nothing went wrong because this is not my first installation for it
    When I told you about the old damaged installation and the new installation which is also failed and showed me the same symptoms as the old one, I was sure that nothing wrong with the WSUS itself, but rather it is something wrong with the environment
    Answering to your above questions, the answer for all is that: that server is only used for WSUS, nothing more
    Anyway, I have managed to restore the service thanks to your previous reply where you point to the CONFIG folder inside the NET framework folder, I checked the files in there, some were changed to the date I think has stopped the service, so I repaired the
    NET framework 2, and restarted
    It is working fine now and syncing with the update server

  • HELP! Why does my Drag and Drop not work Completely?

    Hello! I'm working on an ActionScript 3 movie clip in Adobe Flash. In the interactive movie I want the user to create a snowman with the parts on the left side. (Picture below.)
    On the right side I have the snowman slightly visible, so the user knows where to put the parts. Most of it seems to work... but after I put on the body, hat, and arms the other pieces don't work; like the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. Why does it not work? Can someone help me?
    This is how it should look at the end, when the user complets it.
    I think I coded this correctly. But I'm not sure. Please take a look at my code and see what the problem is. Thanks!!!

    Below is a more efficient code. I am not sure about chasing parents you do in the code (always bad idea) so this code may be buggy:
    var startX:Number;
    var startY:Number;
    var counter:Number = 0;
    // reference to currently dragged object
    var currentTarget:Sprite;
    var objectCollection:Array = [SNOWMAN1_mc, SNOWMAN2_mc, SNOWMAN3_mc, LEFTARM_mc, HAT_mc, RIGHTARM_mc, SCARF_mc, EYES_mc, MOUTH_mc, CARROT_mc, COLE1_mc, COLE2_mc, COLE3_mc];
    activateObjects();
    function activateObjects():void {
         for (var i:int = 0; i < objectCollection.length; i++) {
              currentObject = objectCollection[i] as Sprite;
              currentObject.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, pickUp);
              currentObject.buttonMode = true;
    function pickUp(event:MouseEvent):void {
         currentTarget = event.currentTarget as Sprite;
         currentTarget.startDrag(true);
         MYTEXTBOX.text = "";
         currentTarget.parent.addChild(currentTarget);
         startX = currentTarget.x;
         startY = currentTarget.y;
         stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, dropIt);
    function dropIt(event:MouseEvent):void {
         stage.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, dropIt);
         stopDrag();
         var myTarget:DisplayObject = getChildByName("T" + currentTarget.name);
         if (currentTarget.dropTarget != null && currentTarget.dropTarget.parent == myTarget){
              MYTEXTBOX.text = "Good Job!";
              currentTarget.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, pickUp);
              currentTarget.buttonMode = false;
              currentTarget.x = myTarget.x;
              currentTarget.y = myTarget.y;
              counter++;
         } else {
              MYTEXTBOX.text = "Try Again!";
              currentTarget.x = startX;
              currentTarget.y = startY;
