PO for goods with volatile price

Hello gurus,
I have got a question concerning fuel for our company cars: We have an agreement with a filling station so that our colleagues can refuel there and ‘pay’ by showing a voucher. At the end of the month the filling station will send us a collective invoice for all the fuel used in that month.
Now, we would like to create a PO with an item per car and year and use it in MIRO to post the invoices.
Trouble is that the fuel price is volatile and changes a lot during the year. So regularly there is no invoice with the exact price from the PO which often leads to a set payment blocking indicator for the invoice.
Now, we would like to prevent this from happening, but only for those invoices, so we cannot simply change our tolerance levels. Of course we could change the price in the PO every month, but…
Any ideas?

Hi Alicia,
In your case you can very well create an Framework order with PO document type FO .
So that you have a value set in PO say 100000 USD
Now you can go on doing Invoice as per the value until 100000 USD is utilized.

Restrict SO for products with no price

Hi,
Can B1restrict an order for those products which does not have a price? something like a warning or, an approval prior execute the order? or does B1 has the capability to set which product cannot be use? Only authorized user is enable to perform this order.

Hi Friend,
Actually, B1 does not have such a function to restrict all these.
I think the best way of handling this might be using the Approval function.
Set all these requirements in a query and trigger the Approval function when either of these requirements is retrieved.
The manager can decide whether these documents are legal or not.
Hope this can work as a workaround.
However, you can also achieve this by writing into a small addon with SDK code or modify the stored procedure.(Not recommended to modify stored procedure, though.)

IPod Died for Good with No Reason

So, I have had my iPod for 4 months. It's the latest iPod touch. It was more then half charged when I was using it last, and not even ten minutes later I went to use it again and it was dead. I thought maybe it was from the cold. I put it on the charger when I got home, but there was no response from my iPod. I thought maybe it was the charger, so I switched chargers. It still wasn't responding. I hooked it up to my computer, which my computer couldn't register it. What happened? That's $250 gone. This has not been the first time either

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Price change for material with Goods Receipt with out Order reference?

hi all,
Our client company have some finished products produced from raw materials. But we are not using Production planning module. So in MM we are receiving these products with Goods receipt with out order reference(521).
The issue is, the price for this product will change monthly. This new price will affect the existing stock as moving average price calculation.
ex:
                                 Quantity             Price             Value
Stock balanace        100To                 2.00/To         200
Newly produced      100To                 2.20/To         220
after the GRN for newly produced is done. The price also need to change as below.
Total                         200To                 2.10/To         420
This is easy if we receive goods with PO price, as moving average price will updae in the master record.
But here no reference. So only quantity updated with existing price.
So how to achieve the change of price ? Please help.

Every month My client company revise the price of the produced material based on various factors including the
raw material purchase cost.
The price will be fixed for the whole month.
While posting the GRN, the accounts updated are,
Dr Material account
Cr Production Cost

Price Varaince With ref to Purchase Order for Good Receipt

I want to set the Tolerance limit for GR using PO Price.I don't want to receive goods more than 500$ of PO Price ..In SPRO -MM- IM - Tolerance key for GR , There are two variance , one for Variance in the purchase order price quantity
- Tolerance key B1 (error message)
- Tolerance key B2 (error message)
When i set them for 500 $ , it is not RE -appearing in the screen itself ..Any input ?

First Goto , OLMB----->Define Attributes of System messages--
.> Activate, The message, Version 00, Application Area M7, Message No: 022 in to ERROR.
Then, For the Line Item of PO Price 10,000$, choose the line item -
> In Item Detail----->In Delivery Tab----->Dont give any Over delivery tolerance and Unlimited delivery tolerance.
For the Line Item of PO Price 100$, choose the line item -
> In Item Detail----->In Delivery Tab-----> give your required Over delivery tolerance limit in %
Your problem will be solved

Goods Receipt entry for items with serial number

When I try to create a Goods receipt entry, for items with serial number, i'm always getting the following error message.
[OSRI] , 'The selected quantity of serial/batch numbers is greater than the quantity in row Id'

Slightly OT: Good affordable color laser for use with Mac?

I know this is Off Topic, but I estmated that I would find the most knowledgable people in this community of people using Pages to produce nice documents.
I want to buy an affordable color laser printer for light use but with good print quality. I have been looking around but I can't find much information on how well it works with the Mac. For instance, my old HP inkjet is a priter-scanner bought from Apple, but it turns out scanning only works when wired, not via WiFi.
But my main concern is affordable (around $200-$400) and color and laser (as I don't like the quality of affordable inkjet when producing text).
What are good options? Thanks.

I use a Brother HL-4040CDN. This particular model is not wireless but I connect it to my network via ethernet. Before this one, I did have one that was wireless but I never could figure out how to get it recognized. You can use a wireless bridge to make it wireless. I have done that in the past using an AirPort Express. I usually buy generic high-capacity toner refills & have not had a problem.
I would also look a Canon. They didn't have a consumer-level color laser printer, only all-in-one, at the time I bought my Brothers, but they might now.
EDIT: Canon does have one for $499. Amazon.com does have it for a much better price.

The only way the unlocked t-mobile will work is if you purchase from the Apple store. Do not purchase from t-mobile. Also, not all of the bands will be supported, and the warranty is only good in the United States. Not sure if that is worth it.

How to enter initial balance for material with moving average price

We have an issue where the customer wants to split one material into three materials. We are thinking of posting goods issue for the original material and post goods receipt for the new three materials. But how to enter the initial balance since these three materials must have moving average price.

If you create material first time in system with the help of MM01 then specify the price this will gets affect on moving price.
and if the material is created with ZERO price then use the option MR21 which is said by Jürgen

What is a good external hard drive for use with a macbook air?

I am looking at purchasing a macbook air 13". What is a good external hard drive to use with it? Should I look for an external hard drive with its own a/c power or is the usb 3.0 capable of powering the external drive.

Have a look here for the sizes and prices.
It is however, much better to get a USB external drive that comes with it's own power adapter to avoid issues when or if your USB port can't supply enough power to your external drive.
That issue however does happen rarely but it does happen. Especially when connecting other devices to your other USB port while your external hard drive is connected to your other usb port.

I stongly believe that Steve has given you the best advice. Actually, it's the same advice that I would have given you, if I had seen your post first!
I can verify that his books will give you more info, and in a more usable form, than tutoring, or even in-class, hands-on schooling will. Almost anything that can be done with the program (he also has a companion book for Photoshop Elements, which is often bundled with PrE) is covered in easy to understand detail.
After reading through, and working along, his second bit of advice, Muvipix, is also sound. Between this, and Muvipix fora (Community tab), there have been very few questions that could not be answered. Muvipix also is a great resource for additional articles on how things are done, plus tutorials.
I also recommend that one take an hour and read through both the FAQ and Tips & Tricks articles, found to the right of the PrE forum main page. I would read Steve's book first, so terms, etc. would be most clear.
There are two on-line training sites, that get great reviews: www.lynda.com and www.ltotaltraining.com. I have not subscribed to either, but have used the materials furnished from them with various Adobe programs. I also have several of the lynda.com books on various programs, and they are well-written. Now, they are NOT one-on-one tutoring, which is what you are looking for. They also probably do not cover PrElements, but that is just my guess. If they do, they would be another good source of training, though it's through tutorials, and not direct instruction.
This is just my 02¢'s worth of thought.
