Podcasts don't appear in Recently Added folder after upgrade to itunes7.7

I just upgraded to itunes version 7.7. With this new upgrade my "Recently Added" folder in itunes no longer shows podcasts, it only shows songs. I have tried looking for a setting that will let me add Podcasts to this folder but I can't. Is anyone else having this problem? Prior to this latest upgrade Podcasts have always showed up in my Recently Added folder.

I, too, would like this fixed, but let me offer this workaround I discovered:
1. Create a regular Playlist for each podcast you subscribe to
2. Go to the Podcasts section of iTunes
3. Right-click on a podcast you subscribe to
4. From the menu, select "Add to playlist"
5. Left-click on the playlist that corresponds to the podcast you've chosen
6. Repeat for every podcast
After doing this, my podcast episodes go right into the playlists where I want them. They still don't show in Recently Added, which annoys me, but at least I know where they are. Even better, once I did the steps above, the podcast episodes that had downloaded since I "upgraded" iTunes now all appeare in their appropriate Playlists.

After download ios5 my recently download podcasts do not appear in recently added playlist on my iphone. Anyway to change this?

I had this problem with some podcasts immediately after updating to iOS 5. In order to resolve the issue, I did this:
1- Deleted/unsubscribed from all my podcasts.
    2- Synced to my iPhone.
3- Resubscrubed to all my podcasts.
4- Downloaded all podcast episodes I wanted. (You could instead restore from a backup if some episodes are no longer available for download.)
    5- Synced to my iPhone.

  • No "Recently Added" folder after reinstallation

I recently lost a hard drive and I'm rebuilding. When I loaded iTunes software that came with the Nano it could not read my (recovered) library because it was created by a later version. I reloaded iTunes 6 from the web but none of the predefined folders appeared.
I previously found the "Recently Added" useful so I'd like to find a fix.
    Thanks.

Just make them yourself. They're only smart playlists.
Create a new Smart Playlist, and use the rule "Date Added is in the last 2 weeks" or whatever time span you want to use.

  • How you make recend uploads appear in the recently added folder

When adding to itunes library, how do you make the selections appear in the recently added folder.  The folder was deleted but rebuilt.

It is a mixed playlist and finally I came up with an answer; it might sound strange but I woke up from a nap with all correct settings figured out.
    This is what I did:
I had to specify a subset for every podcast or I would end up with every episode available on my library which in turn would reach the limit I set but that's OK. I noticed though, that podcast won't sync to iTunes Match, which is a bummer, but still they sync over Wi-Fi. This is what I got finally:
    Thanks for all your help!

  • How do I add "recently added" folder back to my itunes?

How do I add "recently added" folder back to my itunes on my  Mac book Pro?

    Hi.
"Recently Added" is just a Smart Playlist.  You can recreate it by clicking File from the menubar, then New Smart Playlist.  Mine is still set to the iTunes default condiitons which are to match all of the rules, Date Added in the last 2 weeks, Media Kind is not a Podcast, and Live Updating, but you can play with rules however you'd like.

  • Recently Added folder gone?

I accidentally deleted the Recently Added folder. How do I get it back? Hopefully I don't need to reinstall the entire iTunes program?
    ibook G3   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    It's just a smart playlist.
    To re-create it:
Create a new Smart Playlist (File menu).
Set the rule: Date Added - is in the last - 2 weeks
These are the default settings; you can change them if you like.
    Check 'live updating'.
    Hope this helps.

  • Where's my "recently added" folder

We have "lost" our "recently added" folder and everytime we try to download a CD to our i-tunes, appears as if it was being downloaded but we're not sure where its being sent. We have no problems with our "recenlty purchased" folder nor any other folders.

The recently added folder is just a smart playlist which you can make again.
    Mine is:
Match the following rule - unchecked
Limit to 25 items Selected by most recently added.
    Live updating checked
Or you could have a rule such as date added in the last x weeks.

  • Deleted Recently Added Folder

At first I selected the "artist" tab in my recently added folder so everything was arranged differently, not by the date it was added.
I figured I could just delete it and create a new one, but it seems to be more difficult than that. I did file>new smart playlist and i can't figure out what to check off to make it work like a recently added playlist does. Here are my options...

I'm using the newest iMac with the newest version of iTunes. Thanks

In iTunes go to File>New Smart Playlist
Match the rule "Date Added">"is in the last">"1">"Days" make the days and the interval to suit yourself, you can have days, weeks or months.
You can refine it to include or exclude items such as Podcasts for example by adding another line "Podcast">"Is True" or "Podcast">"Is False" and matching "All" the rules.
    Check the box "Live Updating"
