Point to Anchor in another tab?

I can create a link with Point-to-File from the Properties panel, pointing to a local file in the Files list or pointing to an anchor in the current page.
But I can't find a way to point to a named anchor in another page (already open in another editing tab). Is this possible?

I know how to create a named anchor on Page B and hand-code a link to that anchor from Page A.
What I'm looking for is a way to the the Point-to-File arrow from the Properties panel to pick an anchor that is not in the page shown in the current editing tab. The best that I've found is ...
Select text in Page A.
Use Point-to-File to link the selected text to Page B in the File list.
Manually append the "#anchorname" to the newly created link (either in the HTML code or the link field in the Properties panel).
The disadvantages of this approach are (1) the extra typing and (2) the opportunity to misspell the anchorname.

Hi, am looking for a solution to this, which I thought would be relatively simple, but....
Currently am using Spry to create multiple tabs, and am linking from one tab to another using:

I would like to be able to also link to a 'named anchor' in another tab, but haven't been able to find a solution.

How to point to another tab on click of a button in another tab?

I am creating an application in which I am using Tabbar and then referring separate canvas for each tab using viewstack.Now I have a button in in one tab and on click of the button i need to open another tab.For reusability i have created separate mxml for each functionality of subtabs.Please help me on how to link the click of button in one tab screen to another tab.

I would suggest creating a custom event that contains the index of the tab (viewstack child) you are wanting to move too. The button would dispatch the event and the tab navigator would require an eventListener to listen for the event type. The handler for the eventListner would then take the index passed and make the change myViewStack.selectedIndex=2 (or whatever the custom event contained)
Note: you could also pass the name of the tab you were wanting to move to and set it that way.

Link to Anchor on another page DW Mac CS4

In GoLive when I clicked on the pointer to go to another page, it showed a list of anchors on that page. Is there a way to do this? Alternately I could have two pages open at once and click from the text on one page directly to the anchor on the other with the pointer.
Problem is that with the tabed pages I cannot open two pages at once. Is there a way to open two pages next to each other instead of tabbed?

No. Several GoLive people have asked the same question. You can't do it in Dreamweaver. If you think it's an important feature that you would like to see added to a future version, file a feature request here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform.

You can turn off the tabbed interface in the Mac version of Dreamweaver by selecting the General category in the Preferences panel. Deselect the checkbox labelled Open documents in tabs.

Returning to BPF Page creating another tab

Hi experts,
evrytime i click the return to BPF the internet browser creates another tab for the same bpf page.. is there a way that whenever i return to BPF, it will just point me to the already opened BPF page and not create another tab?

Need help to open a blob from a report into another tab or browser window.

Hello everyone.
I'm looking for a bit of guidance on something I'm trying to do in Apex.
I have a report that contains a blob. Users can click on the link to open it in same browser. I also know how to make it download if they click the link. But what I really want to do is to click the link and open the blob in another tab or browser window.

Will not open a document from a website in another tab.

When I am trying to open a document from a website link, a new tab opens in the link but the document is not there, the screen is blank. This happen EVERY time. For example, I just wanted to print a coupon from a department store and I clicked on the link, it opened in another tab and it was blank. The way I solve this is I open up Safari or Google Chrome and open the website and I can then get the coupon to show up. Other people have had this same problem with Firefox. I work at a store that uses printed coupons and people come in and tell me this. This also happens with PDF file links.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Stop firefox from pausing a tab when going to another tab or window

I am running firefox v5.0 and I have noticed that ever since v4 when I open another tab, the other tabs are paused and when I have an upload (ie: a video to youtube) going in another tab and I want to browse the internet using a new tab/window, it is stopped. I tried looking through about:config but I couldnt find any thing to disable firefox from pausing tabs.

I uninstalled Viewpoint Media Player, which fixed my problem with the plugincheck tab always opening. Viewpoint Media Player is responsible for the plugin called "MetaStream 3 Plugin r4", and I believe this plugin is triggering Firefox to open the plugincheck page. It is not enough to disable the plugin, it must be uninstalled.
Since it seems you don't have the "MetaStream 3 Plugin", it may be that some other plugin is causing the plugincheck tab to pop open. Try going to Tools (menu) -> Add-ons -> Plugins. Look through the list of plugins, and see if any of them have a red warning icon next to them. If one of the plugins has a red warning icon, it may be the plugin responsible for triggering the opening of the tab. Try uninstalling that plugin, or updating it to a newer version.

Firefox diverts most new windows to tabs, but there is an exception when a website uses a script to specify the window's dimensions or removes some toolbars. (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

For future reference, the possible values for the window/tab preferences are:
(A) browser.link.open_newwindow
3 = divert new window to a new tab (default) (checked*)
2 = allow link to open a new window (unchecked*)
1 = force new window into same tab
* First checkbox in Options > Tabs
(B) browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction - for links in Firefox tabs
0 = apply the setting under (A) to ALL new windows (even script windows)
2 = apply the setting under (A) to normal windows, but NOT to script windows with features (default)
1 = override the setting under (A) and always use new windows
(C) browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external - for links in other programs
-1 = apply the setting under (A) to external links (default)
3 = open external links in a new tab in the last active window
2 = open external links in a new window
1 = open external links in the last active tab replacing the current page

Ok say i have a movie on a web page which is playing, and the user switches to another tab or browser window, is there anyway to tell quicktime to stop playing if this happens?

If I open a PDF doc in a new tab and then try and close the tab with ctrl-w it will try and close all tabs unless I switch to another tab and back again.

Running Firefox beta and Adobe Acrobat 10. If I open a PDF document in a new tab, say http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100146419, and then try and close the tab using ctrl-w, I get the message warning me about closing all tabs. If I switch to another tab and then back to the PDF document and then hit ctrl-w, it will just close that one tab and not all tabs.

I've just been playing around and I set dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to true and now it closes the PDF document but not the tab. I have to do ctrl-w again to close the tab. However, leaving that set to true ruins the scroll mouse functionality as Acroread seems to want it all to itself.

I created a table with a number of rows, containing a objectid and other stuff.
When I select 1 or more rows and click a button,
my application is doing his thing,
and finally I got a message that all went fine.
When I select another tab in that same page,
I want to display the previously selected object id's.
I created a getter and setter in my backingbean for these id's.
When I print them on the first tab, they are available,
but when I click the other tab, they dissapear....
Anyone who can help me how to do this ?
So I need to set a String in 1 tab, and display it after I changed to another tab.

I'm not using a VO.
I have in memory an array of selected id's.
They should be printed on another tab , but when I click that tab, they are empty.
If I display them on the same tab, they get filled out after I clicked the button.
But navigating away from that tab clears the contents.
Maybe some code could help :

Now i have been trying to work on this for a while now and what i want to do should be simple but its apparently not.
Here is an example of what i want to happen.
I will have 2 tabs: Contact | Sales
Now Contacts will have the list of names and various information about a customer, While Sales will have one drop-down box for each Cell Row that will show the names of the person in tab contacts
for what i am wanting to do i cant use the data format pop-up menu because the list is edited everyday several times a day.
Now how do i do this, Excel can do this so how can numbers do it?
