Hmm if you've changed your password and go to the icloud preferences, it normally prompts you to input the password. This didn't happen? I would sign out of icloud and sign back in. It'll warn you for some items they'll be removed from your computer, and that's fine. They'll be stored in icloud and return when you sign back in. If you want to make sure they're in icloud before signing out, go to icloud.com and sign in. Poke around there to verify the data is there.

I can home share my computers but apple tv wont accept my id and password

I have confirmed the network connection on ATV but cannot get it to accept my Apple ID and password. Restarted, unplugged, etc.

I have never had an ITunes login - only an AppleID. I used to be able to use home sharing (10.8) for the purposes of running a screen saver through Photo Stream. When I got up to put my Boy to bed for the night tonight, the ATV went into a screen saver mode. However, it was only black screen. I began to poke around and the ATV had my Lady's ID stored into the ATV file share so I loged her out.
When I tried to login to Photo Stream using my Apple ID it said that my password was inncorrect so, while sitting in my recliner I immediately went to AppleID.Apple.com and logged into my ID page with the exact info I put into the ATV. Why does the ATV not recognize my AppleID? Especially snce I cannot recall ever using ITunes as I do not have any music, nor do I even like any music?

I keep trying to poke them into action. I did send a email to the regulator who seemed to indicate the license or regulations we good to go . Maybe thier so hard pressed in building sites as you said although it seemed wrapped up a year ago. My friend ATT service is excellent here and the exact location has att tower there so I know this would work its just a matter of prodding Verizon into action . my hope is they will notice and do something about this .

Won't save websites password

I have tried two advice one is click on Remember password in option and that did not save the website password. I have tried disable Remember password as I can't find anywhere in option that clear history when closing the application. Even on website, I click on "Remember me" or "Remember password", either Firefox or the website won't save the password for next time in Firefox. I have version 29.0.1. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox with no success. Example of two websites I am having problem saving password for are Myspace and AOL. Can is there something I am missing to make this work? Thank you.

Disk utility asks for password for authopen when creating images

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion from Lion 10.7.4.
Now, whenever I use disk utility to create a image from a CD/DVD, I get a dialog window saying that :
authopen is trying to open the chosen file.
Type your password to allow this.
I never saw this dialog in Lion. Why am I getting this message?
Also, after upgrading to ML I cannot eject the CD/DVD after my cdr or dmg file is created. I have to wait a few minutes. In Lion I only had to wait a few seconds.
I tried the usual permissions repair, reboot, etc.

To get around this issue, the group name needs to be changed to 'everyone' in the sys.openfile section of /etc/authorization. You will still need to authenticate, but you do not need to have admin credentials:

Can't update user password - Permission denied

Hi,
having problem with user passwords in LDAP - they can't update them. Error message is Permission denied.
Login with auto_home (NFS mounted homedir) to an ldap-client for an ldap user works.
Using proxy auth, see below:

How to disable SQL server 2012 sa password auto reset

We have SQL server 2012 in windows xp and we using sa login and password as null.
My problem is the password automatically reset within 3 hours once,
Anyone can help how to disable the automatically reset password or how to increase the reset time.

SQL Server never changes any password, someone else is doing this. And it is a high risk to use SA account especially with an empty password!!!
Fully agree. A blank password for sa? In 2015?
Apparently something in your environment pokes around for server instances with blank sa passwords and teaches you a lesson. You could set up an event notification or a DDL trigger to find out that may be. Or just prove that you are smarter than them by
renaming sa. Or even better, prove that you are living in the present and set a strong password for sa. Or even better, disable sa, and only use Windows accounts that are in sysadmin so that you know how did what.

Help: recover lost password

We're the second owner of a SunFire B1600. We bought it from an auction, so who knows who the previous owner was, and if they even remember the password to get into the internal switch. I've been poking the machine for a week, and I can't figure out how to get into the switch to reset the password. I've googled, and read through every manual and KB article on sunsolve, and haunted these forums all without any positive result.
If anyone knows the proper procedure to get into the internal switch, I would be very grateful for that information.
Here's what I know so far:
1. If I reset the system controller and send a break from the terminal I can get to a ">" prompt which only has a few commands available:
Available commands: type 'help <command>' for more:
boot Boot the system
help Print help on commands
reboot Reset the system then boot the system
showsc Show version of boot ROM
banner Show bootrom banner
all of them do exactly what they say and no more. :)
2. If I wait a little bit longer I can send a break to the terminal and get a prompt that looks like "-#^@" ... I couldn't find any documentation on that prompt. I didn't want to poke too much there.
3. I can reset the switch by issuing the command "reset -y ssc0/swt" and if I press "Escape" a few times during the boot process I can get to a "Password:" prompt before the config is loaded. My guess is that it is for some factory-installed password that will allow the switch to boot without loading the config from flash. I believe this is my ticket in. Anyone know the magic word?

You were advised properly.
The procedure is only available to Sun employees.

The B1600 switch can indeed be reset.
You open a service case, and pay for a Sun field service engineer
to come to your location and reset it for you.
You might consider having that service case do two tasks ...
Since the field engineer will be at the system, they can also do
a pre-contract certification inspection and validate it qualifies
to be covered by a service contract. They inspect it and push it through
some superficial tests. They take down the chassis serial and note
that this is now YOUR system and no longer owned by the previous people.

IDM 7.2 creating Password Reset task

Ok, then it's one of two things in my experience:
1. The encoded password for the MXMC_OPER is incorrect. Try to login to Oracle using that account. It should have been defined in the INCLUDE.SQL file when the database was created. You might need to work with your DBA on this, assuming you are not one.
2. I've only seen this happen on MSSQL, but if your classpath is set up in a certain way, these things can happen. I've written about it [here|http://idm-thoughtplace.blogspot.com/2011/02/too-much-in-jar.html]

It seems when i try to login to Netflix it comes back with email id or password is incorrect (code 117), i can't find anything to fix this, help!!!

I've tried everything, reset, unplug, even have it connected via Ethernet, always the same outcome! I can login on our iMac with no problem!

Finally someone who found the solution. I've been searching for the answer for a while, some people suggest resetting the Apple TV, reverting to the previous firmware, changing password to all numbers, you name it.
The right answer is: make sure to have a password with both letters and numbers. Someone at Apple must have thought to override the password requirements of Netflix, without telling anyone else. They need better change management procedures!
