Hi all,
How do I generate a pop up message that will stay open until a digital boolean is received from DAQmx. Then it should be turn off.

How to configure a pop up message when creating an appraisal?

Hi All,
I have a question.
When the supervisor creates an appraisal for an employee, the supervisor is obligated to create Objectives for the employee but creating Competencies are only optional for executives (people group). When the supervisor has finished creating the appraisal and wants to review it, he will need to click on a Continue button.
When the continue button is pressed, a warning pop up message will appear if the competencies created was null. As it is only a warning pop up message the supervisor can just click ok and continue to the review page.
Now I am needed to configure this pop up message for the appraisal creation page and I would like to know how do I go about in searching for it? Should it be in the OAF java files or is the pop up message can be configured using personalization? I just want to know how to search for the configuration of this pop up message. Thank you

Hi Sheela,
Though you made 'Dataline' field as mandatory, system will throw an error message and will put MOUSE CURSOR on that missing field. So ultimately user would come to know that a particular field is missing.
And in SAP there would be lots of mandatory fields and it's really not feasible to put pop-up messages for such requirements and that too in transactions like CMR.
Tell user that system will automatically put MOUSE CURSOR on a particular mandatory field anytime anybody misses to maintain it. As a SAP consultant, your job is to convince the user with such standard functions.
If at all you want to put pop-up message for it, then you need to go for User Exit development.
Revert back if any further issue.

What's with this "stay connected" pop up message?

Hi all,
I just got a new G5 Intel iMac and have had great success transfering all of my setting and data from my old g4 iMac via the Migration Assistant and Target Disk Mode to the new machine. No problems at all. It was a breeze!
However, now that the new machine is up and running I periodically get this message: "This is your reminder that your connection is still active. Do you wish to remain connected?" Then it offers two buttons: " Disconnect" and "Stay connected" I remember that with an older version of OS 10, either Panther or Jaguar, I would get such messages but there was a System Preferences panel in which you could shut this message off and stay permanently online without having to hang around during long downloads and punching the "Stay connected" button. This message never appeared on the old G4 iMac even though I was running the very same version of Tiger (10.4.8) on it that I now have on the new iMac. Apparently the setting to turn off this message didn't transfer over and, what's worse, there is nowhere I can find in the Tiger System Preferences where I can shut it off.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks for the quick response! I looked at the "about this Mac" in the Apple menu and here's what it states:
"2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo"
I tell you this because I originally posted this question in the iMac G5 forum and they told me to post it over here in the Intel Mac forum. I'm starting to get even more confused.
Also, I looked again at the Network setting in System Preferences and there is no PPP or Options choice anywhere. Instead it just tells me this:
"Built-in Ethernet is set up to use PPPoE." and "You are connected to the internet via Built-in Ethernet."
And I am indeed connected via the ethernet port to a DSL modem. I do remember in previous versions of OS 10 doing exactly what you suggested in your post to get that blasted pop-up message to stop annoying me and, like you said, "Problem [was] gone". This message never bothered me on my old iMac g4 (which was a power PC Mac) but now, maybe because of this new chip it's baaaaaack So with this further information do you have any other ideas?

Pop-up message on iPhoto start-up

I get the same pop-up message twice every time I start iPhoto. It says (in Dutch):
The iPhoto-library contains 4 pictures which are not imported.
Would you like to import them now?
If I choose [YES] or [NO], I get the same question on the next startup. And it's getting pretty annoying....
If I choose [YES], an empty folder is created in the iPhoto root map.
Hope there's a solution for this. Thanks in advance!

Open the iPhoto library package with the Finder as shown in this screenshot:
Lot for a folder titled "Import" or "Importing". Move it to the Desktop and make no other changes to the contents of the library package.
Launch iPhoto and that message should be gone. Check the folder that you moved to the Desktop to see if any of the photos in there are ones you want to save and import into iPhoto. If not you can delete it.

Pop up message in Background execution

Hello everybody!
I created a Pop up message in AT-SELECTION-SCREEN event and it's working well in online mode. However, when I try to execute the same program in Background mode, the SE37 transaction does not show me the list at spool.
Question: Does SAP allow the execution in background mode with pop up messages?

Hi,
in at selection-screen generally we will not use the Information Message, so i think in your case it is Error message. so Obviously it will not work.
i guess you are using error message.

Pop Up message at shut down

Everyday I am about to leave office I need to sign out from a web portal that we use to capture time at office.
How do I get a pop up message each time I try to shut down windows which will as a question to the user "Did you sign out from the web portal?".
The message box should appear with a "Yes" and a "No" button. If the user would click "No" the system should take it to the portal to sign out and if the user would click "Yes", windows continues to shut down.
We are currently using Windows 7.

While it is possible to create a script that runs at shut-down time, I do not think that this script can be interactive. You would need to create your own shut-down shortcut on the desktop. It would invoke a script consisting of two commands:
The prompt about the web portal.
The shut-down command.

Pop up message

hai,
I need to create popup message based on values while saving the document in TC : IW41.
After entering the Order no in IW41 and pop up message should come with multiple values( i.e 5 check boxes should come for 5 values) with having SAVE button.
If user click on SAVE button then only document will save.
Can any body help me regarding this above issue ?

There is function module called POPUP_TO_CONFIRM which you can use to give pop up message.
Please go through the function module documentation for help.
Example:

VA02 - suppressing pop up message

Issue: When ever we change requested delivery date then a pop is coming with a message "Change in invoice date-billing date is re-dermined" and billing date will be re-determined in sales order as per requested delivery date. We need to suppress this pop up message.
Question: Is there any configuration setting is there to supress this pop up window? I tried with OBMSG and this option is not working. I think we may not suppress pop up windows using OBMSG. Please let us know how to suppress this message.

You should check with your ABAPer, as there seems to be some Userexit which is causing this Pop Up.
The ABAPer may also be able to provide you with the Text ID from the Code.
In the Text Determination Procedure (T Code VOTXN) for the Sales Documents you can make that particular Text ID as "Text is not obligatory".

Need help with Pop Up message

I've created a pop up message for a client that notifies you
when you are leaving a site. You can press ok to get redirected to
another site or cancel out by pressing the X. But when you press
the X it redirects you to the site anyways. Is there a way to
cancel the action or redirection of the pop up message window. Or
do I need to create a seperate page for the pop up message.

BExAnalyzer Pop-Up messages log?

I am responsible for the administration of our BI System. Currently we are providing all of our Queries via an Excel Workbook , because its easier for the enduser. If an Query is adapted the user gets an Pop Up Message with the Info Message that the Query has been changed.
My Question is: Are these messages logged somewhere? Or Can i trigger a message as an email to me if an user gets some kind of Popup after opening a Query or an workbook?
Its very Confusing for our enduser and i need to be informed if such an message is displayed.

Seems like something went south in your installation. I would recommend deactivating, uninstalling, running the cleanscript to remove anything left over and reinstalling.

Multiline messages cannot be shown on standard Pop Up. In case you need multiline messages then create a new view, use it as a pop up and then you can show text messages as per the business requirement.

I'm having this same problem as well and cannot advance--very irritating. All of the information is filled out correctly and I've editted my AppleID information online separately as well to get around this issue, but no luck...

How to log "send failed" to a file instead of showing a pop-up message

Hi, I am working with Flex 4.1 on Linux but I suppose this problem must be common to all versions of Flex.
I am working on a Flex client front-end which connects to a Java back-end (in Tomcat) via BlazeDS. All of this works OK 99.9% of the time. However, from time to time (let's say, if the client browser has been open for several hours), the user gets a pop-up message saying "Send failed". It seems to be a harmless transient error -- if the user closes the pop-up, the front-end carries on as usual and seems to continue to work as expected.
Is there a way to have the "send failed" message written to a log file instead of opening a pop-up message?
As a separate problem, if anyone has seen occasional, transient "send failed" errors, I would be interested to hear about that. If you have some solution to make them go away, that would be terrific.
