POP UP's I get lot of pop ups to join Adobe Acrobat XI. I am already subscribing and why I am getting this I do not know and I would like to know how to turn this off. This nuisance is wasting too much of my time.

Does anyone know how to stop the POP UPs?
I receive Adobe POP UPs to subscribe to Adobe XI which I already have joined but this nuisance.
If Adobe has a bug than they should remove it.

I talked with one of their operator and I followed his instructions. According to him it was taken care of but apparently this morning the moment I opened the computer POP UP was the first thing that came up on the screen.

If you're getting a message that you are running a TRIAL (or demo), you must solve this problem. The messages are not the problem, the problem is that it doesn't know you own the product. And when 30 days are up it will stop working.
So, don't ignore the pop-ups. Instead, license the software. With a subscription, you simply have to sign in so it knows who you are.

In 10.6 or earlier go to: Apple / System Preferences / Universal Access and turn off Voice Over.

I just fixed it! I believe it was my Time Machine Connection. I have a wireless connection to a NAS storage device (MyBookLive), which was not working properly. Do you mean Voice Control, which lets you speak commands, or VoiceOver, in which a voice speaks items on the screen?

I don't like when I scroll over a link on a webpage and the hyperlink shows up on the bottom right in white box... it is extremely annoying. I want to know how to turn it off if possible, otherwise I'm going to have to use another browser. Thank you.

I don't recall this feature on any other version of firefox. For some reason, I can't stop focusing on the fact that every time I scroll over something on a webpage, an annoying white box pops up in the corner of the website displaying the hyperlink, or showing the fact that the link or whatever is loading... it's unnecessary and to me it appears as clutter, especially when I'm browsing a website that has a colored backdrop because then the annoying box pops out even more. CS1 is not supported in Leopard if you had it working at some point you were lucky. Adobe does not plan on updating CS as it is an old version. Keep in mind that CS1 is now the last version that can be updated to CS4 now that Adobe has a 3 version update window. At the beginning of March Adobe will start tiered pricing and CS1 and CS2 will cost $200 more that you can upgrade to day. As soon as CS5 is released you will no longer be in the upgrade path and will need to pay full price for the CS5 creative suite.
If you want to continue to use Leopard then it would be best for you to upgrade to CS4. If you will never need to upgrade then it would be best to downgrade your system to Tiger by either restoring from a backup of Tiger you made before your system upgrade or wiping the drive and installing Tiger fresh. You can't Downgrade the Leopard with Tiger as you could with previous systems.

You'll have to keep trying to remember it. Otherwise you have to save as much of your data as you can and restore the phone as a new iPhone (without your backup) and start over.

For general browsing on an older powerPC Mac, you'd need to get a supported browser, one that sees current or recent updates for security reasons; so that is one thing. You could get and install anything from the internet.
But you probably do not have a virus.

A good browser for a powerPC computer running up to 10.5.8, is TenFourFox. Or iCab. Or SeaMonkeyPPC. With some of these you can set up an email account, & those may be more secure than older Mac Mail. You can also be sure the settings in a browser or email client application do not automatically open attachments or downloads, until you determine what they are through investigation.
If you got an idea to download free applications from untrustworthy sites, or wanted to clean up your mac, etc using some dubious software, then an 'adware' may be installed. Some kinds of items you may seek to download or that were attachments on an email, can be dealt with in several ways. Safe browsing, near paranoid use of email, and if you use a web-based email, use a secure browser to visit it, login online, and do not have unnecessary cookies or features set in the browser.
