Hi,
We are facing issues with our SAP portal. Fyi our production is down tis morning and it was up before afternoon. After production is up, the portal did not up. When we browse to the site, it show error;

cn=XXX information is missing for the SSO Server (orasso) when going to http://servername:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.home. Is that causing the problem? If so, how can I resolve it?

Portal down after starting Server in debug mode

I have started my AS Java in Debug Mode. Now, the Portal is down, shing the following error message:

It takes time till the server is running again. Wait a few minutes and try again!

Portal down due to changes in package portal.wwctx_api_private

My Portal server(it has a down status even after restarting etc) has crashed after i made the following changes:
Would appreciate any help, as i cannot navigate to the package and edit it.
I added the following to the package
portal.wwctx_api_private.set_context(p_user_name => 'PORTAL',
p_password => 'password', p_update_flat => true);

hi,
before running the query on the wwsbr_all_items CM view you need to set the contect. in order to do that execute the following package:
portal.wwctx_api.SET_CONTEXT('portal','manager1','');
portal/manager1 represent the SSO user and pwd for PORTAL.
after that you can select from any CM view.

Portal down after system refresh

Hello all,
We have done a system refresh for QAS from PROD for BI with export import of the backup into test. Everything was ok and refreshed BI is working fine but the SAP BI PORTAL is down. Nothing it is working. I can`t acces the link of the portal nor the visual admin nor configtool. Can you help us making the test working. I know a solution of reinstalling the portal with sapinst but i do not belive that this is the only solution.
The Test Portal have nothing changed. It is the same like it was but the BIT has changed a lot. Can anybody give some ideas how to make it work?

So i have open both files services / hosts.. and everything seems to be ok. On services i found
sapgw11       3311/tcp      # SAP System Gateway Port
The servers are AIX and the DB si Oracle. Nobody changed these files for more than 2 years and before refresh oh QAS the portal worked just fine. Practically the problem is that there is no connection between BI TST and TST portal. Nothing even at unix level. I think the problem is soewhere between DB and portal.. because he can`t find any connection.

Apple Developer site is down due to it being "hacked"
Amazon uncontrollably deleted two of my apps from the app store and they can't seem to figure out what happened.

Portal down after upgrade from 10.1.2.2 to 10.1.2.3

The weekend we upgraded the infrastructure/mid-tier from 10.1.2.2 to 10.1.2.3 and did the same for the metadata repository. We noticed since then portal is down though OC4J_Portal is up. Any idea how the upgrade would cause this and how to fix it?

Hi Erik,
I checked the metalink note you recommended and sure enough my PortalListeniongHostPort and HTTPPort did not match. I changed them and added the root certificate in b64InternetCertificate.txt and it now shows as up. Thank you so much for referring me to that document. It is greatly appreciated.

Portal down...upgrading from 5.0.1 to 5.0.2

I upgraded the server from 5.0.1. to 5.0.2. And it went down. I noticed that none of the assemblies have changed (have the modified date of 5.0.1 installation). PTSPY info --

Portal down after KMC install

Hello,
After installing KMC from the SR1 DVD I can't even get to the Portal login page. The installation went well and the analyzer shows everything green (one green check with a line through it for j2ee login but since I see the same results with other working portals i assume this is okay) I saw a few threads about this kind of problem....could it because I had to reset the adm password? Here is the error (something to do with security?): I can access the root of the j2ee webserver and see the usermanagement of the portal through there...

Seems like the problem was the security zones.
Once I gave "Everyone" read access to:
com.sap.portal
com.sap.UME
It worked fine again....weird a KMC install would reset this.

Is the management portal down?

I have been unable to access it for about 15 minutes - can still view other sites and Microsoft stuff but after a while I get a page cannot be found when trying to access the azure portal.

Portal Down Help Needed Urgently (NT)

I was developing a Chart and suddenly the Portal has crashed
the log file of JServ has something like this-->
AJP Protocol Error: java.io.IOException: Stream closed prematurely
*and the log file for Apache has
Parent: WSADuplicateSocket failed for socket 296.
No such file or directory: master_main: create child process failed. Exiting.
I tried starting the server manually it said the httpd.pid file was missing
so i created one and tried the server started
but when i stopped it and then started the service from Service Control Panel it wont start.

Why is the Apple Mac Developer portal down, and for how long?

I cannot access the Mac Developer resources this morning.
With a company as advannced as Apple, I would expect them to be able to roll out web updates
seamlessly.
I don't like being out in the cold.
I want to download the Mavericks Beta.

iTC reports finally arrived today - you can it's check daily status here.
But again....unannounced outages are not new, so unless you get an email from Apple warning of same, there isn't much to do besides checking here and/or pounding on the backend yourself.

Self Care Portal question

Hello,
We have a client who uses a third party app for 911 call accounting/tracking purposes. This app pulls data from the description field so they want to lock the Self Care portal down so that the end users cannot change Phone descriptions. Checking under Enterprise Parameters I don't see a way to disable this - have I missed something?

Jason - I dont think there is no option to disable the description field in the self care portal. As you have pretty much explored the Enterprise parameters, the closes option is to disable the line text display - even if you disable that the description field is still there.
However, I have previously tested this and today as well did a quick test, if I update the description field it does not updates the phone description in CUCM or anywhere else in CUCM (line text label does update if thats updated). Can you try a quick test and verify on your system?

Edit: Sorry editing my post, it cant be local as its pulling up details from phone description in first place, but somehow backwards update doesnt work on the system I did testing.

Can anyone explain BC Commissions????

Hi All,
I have been using BC for a few years but recently after looking at the Commissions section and talking to support I can not get my head round how they are working and no one seems to be able to give me a straight answer.
So when I go to my partner portal down on the right hand side is a section for commissions.
Right now mine looks like this
Now from the amount in Cashed in (which to me means what I have drawn out of BC into my account it shows the balance of $988.65 yet I have only ever received $588.32 (which has been confirmed by BC)
I am being told by BC that when my current balance reaches $500 I can get paid more money.
What I do not understand is where the other $400 has gone? (the difference between what I have received and what it says in cashed in)
If I have never received that $400 and BC says that I can only get paid when my current balance reaches $500 then surely somewhere along the lines I am out by $400.
I understand that compared to most of you guys we are not talking about a lot of money but it is a concern to me and I appreciate and help or advice you can give.

Thanks for contacting us.
Commissions are payable on monthly or yearly hosting fees and any overage charges such as extra disk space, newsletter or SMS charges. You can instantly have an overview of your commissions by accessing your Partner Portal > Dashboard. The Dashboard will show two commission numbers under the Commissions heading:
Current balance, representing commission that you can now redeem. This is the amount owning on paid invoices only. It can be redeemed once it has reached the $500 minimum.
Cashed in, representing commission accrued since you joined Business Catalyst. This total will include all invoices generated, paid and not paid. Invoices are generated with 14 days prior to the due date, so Cashed in will include also the invoices that are not yet paid (Current balance is not including them).
