Position search WebDynpro - position id column blank

Hello experts,
On one of my HCM adobe forms, I have a position search button which calls a standard WebDynpro for position search. WebDynpro is using the org view group MSS_POS_SEARCH3 from OADP. When I search for positions using wildcards etc., I am getting the right list but position id column is always blank. When I select a position row, right position id is being passed onto the form. It's just not displaying the position id on the popup even though it has a value. Any thoughts please.

In CN43N output, press 'Change Layout' button and include Position ID in you layout. Its available in standard report, no development or notes reqd.

Nokia E6 Searching for position / Waiting for GPS ...

I have a new nokia E6-00 with Symbian Anna (1 month old). I am very frustrated with the in-built GPS (Ovi Maps). It is working fine when it is connected to a Wi-Fi network, but when in OFFLINE mode it can not locate any satellites. It keeps displaying "searching for position" and "waiting for GPS". What should I do?
Note: I have only checked Assisted GPS and Integrated GPS as positioning methods because I do NOT want any internet traffic caused by Ovi Maps.

I am writing because I am also having similar GPS difficulty with my E6-00.
Here are the proper problem description and some background info:
- for the past year, I had been using the C6-00. Its then Ovi Map was awesome, worked great in Asia, US, EU.
- and before that, I also had the E71 for 2yrs. Again, Ovi Map served well.
- Both phones only required their built-in GPS to navigate either walking or driving (with "offline" and "mobile data off")
Now the problem with E6:
- When "offline" or "mobile data" is off, the GPS simply wont function AT ALL. Like OP said, it gets disconnected soon afterwards. My question is, this is intended for E6? In comparison, the result in E6 seemed like a huge flaw.
- Navigation / Positioning also seem "messed up". I am in Taiwan, Map version v0.2.43.11. I did a test: I launched both Nokia Map and Google Map on E6. Google map was accurate, showing exactly where I am, but Nokia Map was offset for 500 meters!! This made navigation IMPOSSIBLE!
Map versions:
- C6: 0.2.46.103
- E6: 0.2.43.11 (cannot be further updated)

Note 1112733 specifies the namespace and event of the employee search iView for subscription by custom iViews.
Event namespace: urn:com.sap.mss.employeesearch
Event name: selection_changed
I am looking for something similar to subsribe to the Position search iView event. I believe the iView name is
com.sap.pct.erp.mss.posprofile_positionsearch
OSS note 1410996 contains a reference to this iView, if this is of any help.
The subscribing application is written in WD ABAP. I suppose if there is a means of subscribing to all portal events, it can be queried to look for the specific one? I have the team viewer all set up and working.

E-Recruitment position search

Hi all,
When i try to search for positions on creating a requisition it doesn´t return results.
Am i doing anything wrong?
This happens when i do the following:
1. Press 'Draft and Foward'
2. Create requisition
3. Change to tab Organizational Data
4. Press Find Position
5. Start Search
No results are showed, can anyone help me?

About your clues:
you are in a standalone installation noone transfered positions to via ALE yet
I'm not in a standalone installation
you miss the authorization for the object types in HR or you miss structural authorization to the existing positions.
The users i'm testing have SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW. So i believe it's not an authorization problem.
depending on the release checking the 'vacancy only' flag seems to have different results. for older releases i remember it did not do anything for the current 600 the systemn tries to connect to the hr source system for standalone systems and tries to get the vacancies from there. If there isno link to a valid hr you won't getresults.
I already tried to create a new position, placed as 'Vacancy open'. (Is this the flag you were saying?)
Also, i can search for anything, and get results (e.g. Organizational Units). Only the search for positions doesn't bring results.
Am i missing something?

Chart Error - scroller positions should be positive and integer

I have created a flash chart with two filters on the chart region.
i) ‘Select list with submit' ----- (:P23_TRC)
ii) ‘Radio button with submit' -----(:P23_IMPACTC)
The chart should display as per the filters selection.
However, I get the error message "<strong>scroller positions should be positive and integer</strong>", once, whenever I load this chart page for the 1st time in a new IE window.
After I change the filter's value it will work perfectly fine.
In filters default value is one value from respective filter list of value

I found the solution,
My graph is dependent on the page items. What I found was when I load the page, item default value was displayed but it was not stored in the memory. Item value only gets stored in memory when the page is submitted.
Line: -----
Soultion : - Create a page level before header process and define the default value over here as well. This will resolve your error.
Hopefully you understood what I am trying to explain. If not let me know and I will trying to put in picture and email you.

When I open a new tab it opens a Bing search windos instead og a blank page like it used to

When I open a new tab it opens a Bing search window instead of a blank page like it used to.
When FF starts it opens a blank page like it should, but if I click on the + to the right of the current tab is when the Bing tabs open. It's just a Bing search window not the Bing homepage. If needed I can submit a screenshot of the new page.
I use 2 addons affecting tabs. Multiple Tab Handler, and Colorful Tabs.
I think SlimBrowser is an IE based browser.
I use Win pro 64 bi on a HP laptop and FF 3.6.8
I've never had this problem all the years I used FF until now
Any Ideas?

This is not just an Add-on problem! It's not in my Add-ons. It isn't in my Program Files. Not one single solution I've found on any of the forums has resolved the problem for myself or many others. This is extremely aggravating, and I want it gone!

You want to change to x/y position of what? The main frame?
If it is the Frame class take a look into the CDC/PP specification:
"An implementation may prohibit resizing of Frames by a user. In such a case, attempts to make any Frame resizable will fail silently"

Text search query into long column

This is an example of query that I'm using:

where <column> is of type Long and <string>
is the text to search. At the moment I don't need to apply any score filter.
I've generated the index on this table as suggested by documentation:
create index <index_name> on <table>(<column>) indextype is ctxsys.context;

MDM Search Webdynpro Component

We have MDM 7.1 SP04 installed. I am using MDM Webdynpro components for MDM 7.1 SP04 running on CE 7.1 EHP1 SP04. I configured the search component in Webdynpro configurator. My requirement is to pull only active items from MDM for any type of searchs. User doesn't want to see the search option on screen to choose active.
There are no options on configurator to hide the search fields or to set the default value for searchs.
I thought I can add custom logic in the custom wrapper Webdynpro for search. I added search webdynpro component as used dc in wrapper and pointed to the configuration I did in webdynpro configurator.
Now if I thought I could add my own search parameters in the wrapper. But the interface controller of Search component delivered by SAP has not exposed the search object to add my own parameters.
I am left with doing full custom development for Search.
I am wondering did I miss anything or is there any other way to extend search component delivered by SAP to add my own search logic instead of going with custom development.

Positioning a flash movie in column

New to Dreamweaver (from FrontPage.) Simple page with two column. In right column I inserted swf 323x323 that should be positioned at V 210 and H 75. Published and it looks great in Firefox but in IE the flash is far far down (have to scroll to even see it.) What am I overlooking? As I said, I'm new to this.

Position a UI element or container on a specific position in webdynpro ABAP

Hi All,
How can we positioned different UI elements on a specific location?. I mean whenever we drag and drop them on a view they seem to take their place automatically. Is there a way to give them a shape ( vertical/horizontal ) & position explicitly . Ill appreciate a quick reply from you people.

Hi Laeeq,
There is no way to absolute position something in Webdynpro ABAP (at least not that I've found), but there are some ways you can get things relatively in the way you want them. Try looking at the samples (SALV_WD_DEMO_TABLE*) and you'll see how they use a combination of transparent containers, groups, and the matrix layout to get things into position.
It does not allow for very fine grained control, but you should be able to achieve the look you are going for.

Need Assistance - iRecruitment Link "Search Open Positions at Oracle"

I am a frequent user of the iRecruitment site to search for open Oracle Positions and have successfully accessed the site in the past. I am using Internet Explorer 8.
When I access the link "Open Positions at Oracle (Please use Internet Explorer), a new session pops up and I receive the error message "Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Webpage". "What you can try - Diagnose the problem". Diagnosing the problem leads to nothing. In troubleshooting, my internet connection is good and I can access all other sites on the Oracle iRecruitment page (all other links, etc.).
Is the site down? How can I prevent this from happening and use the iRecruitment site to search for open positions.

1. Use a different browser (like Firefox), or a different PC, to see if you can replicate the error.
2. Give feedback at the site stating your issue. Forum members will not be able to help, nor are these forums monitored by Support.

Cross tab design : x position based on number of columns

Hello everybody,
In my report, I have a group section for the country.
For each country and in the group header, I have 2 cross tab.
They have always the same number of columns (columns is period).
But 2 country could have different number of periods.
I need to have the 2d cross tab just near the 1st (right side) so I want to change x position of the 2d cross tab depending of the number of period.
I have try to use GetNumColumns but it doesn't work (always not supported), this is the same for other grid value function.
I'm not sure to understand why ...
So I have tried to calculate the number of row , using another group (period), but I can't summarize in a header.
I'm a little bit lost and need some new idea...
For information, my reports are based on a simple mysql DB.

hello, i see that no one has responded to your forum post...is this still an issue?
in the Section Expert for the section where the cross-tabs are sitting, there is a Relative Positions checkbox wherein the cross-tabs will stay in a relative x postion to each other.
e.g. if you are in design mode and the cross-tabs are 1/2 inch from each other, when previewed, the 2nd cross-tab will start 1/2 inch after the 1st one stops.
