Positioning dynamic text in SAP Script windows
HI all,
Is there any control command to position DYNAMIC text that comes from a variable into a window...
Regards,
Chandra Sekhar
Hi chandra,
You can move the text into one variable in the print
program and in the layout form call this as
&VAR&.
Thanks&Regards,

Hello All
I have done changes to include few(3) lines in a SAP Script window. Because of those 3 lines, contents that were printed earlier are not getting printed.
The window is getting printed inside a box and it is defined as
BOX FRAME 10 TW.
Window height is 22.50 Ln,width 9.50 CM.
To rectify this should I increase the height of this window or should I define the attributes of the box
Please reply at the possible earliest.
Thanks in advance.Check this
Setting default parameters for a box:
You can use the POSITION and SIZE commands to set default parmeters for a box.
Instead of:
/: BOX XPOS '11.21' MM YPOS '5.31' MM HEIGHT '10' MM WIDTH '20' MM INTENSITY 10 FRAME 0 TW
You can write:
/: POSITION XORIGIN '11.21' YORIGIN '5.31' MM
/: SIZE HEIGHT '2' MM WIDTH '76' MM
/: BOX FRAME 10 TW INTENSITY 10
This can be usefull if you gave several boxes that share the same parameters.
If you want to set the position realtively to the window use POSITION WINDOW
to set the position to the top/left start of the window. Then use POSITION
to set the current position relatively to the start of the Window.
Note that you uses "+" or "-" in the ORIGIN position to the set the position relatively.
/: POSITION WINDOW
/: POSITION XORIGIN '+5' MM YORIGIN '+10' MM
the position is now 5 MM from the left and 10 MM from the top of the window
NOTE: After using the position command you can move the current position
realtively to the last used position
/: POSITION XORIGIN '+10' MM YORIGIN '+20' MM
Now the position will be X = 15 and Y = 30
Drawing a line. You can draw a line by setting the Height or Weidth to 0
and add a frane. E.g. a horizontal line:
/: SIZE HEIGHT '0' MM WIDTH '200' MM
/: BOX FRAME 10 TW XPOS '11.21' MM YPOS '14.81' MM INTENSITY 100 -

In the transaction related to PO select the path goto->header texts and then details of the texts like ID,objectname, language, name.Pass all theses details to 'READ_TEXT ' FM. Then you will get text lines described for a perticular Po ,similarly for item also.

Dump error when clicked on text elements in SAP Script window
Hi All,
There is an inclusion in SAP Script. I have written the code in driver program. I need to pass the value to SAP Script in the requested position. But when I go to SE71 > Form Name > Change or Display > MAIN Window > Text Elements > I get a dump error.
Category ABAP Programming Error
Runtime Errors DATA_LENGTH_TOO_LARGE
Except. CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS
ABAP Program SAPLSTXK
Application Component BC-SRV-SCR
Date and Time 30.04.2014 20:00:08
Short text
Invalid partial field access: Length is too large
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLSTXK" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS', was not
caught in
procedure "TOKEN_COMMENT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
In the executed program "SAPLSTXK", the system attempted to access the field
"ITF_TOKEN" of the type "C" and with the length 255 using the length 272.
However, a partial field access with a length specification that is
larger than the field length is not allowed.
How to correct the error
Reduce the length used to access the field.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"DATA_LENGTH_TOO_LARGE" "CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS"
"SAPLSTXK" or "LSTXKFRN"
"TOKEN_COMMENT"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File

How to use Standard text in SAP SCRIPTS
Hi all,
Please tell me how can we use the standard text what we have created in SO10 with sap scripts.Hi Gaurav
You can create standard texts using the transaction SO10. Then to insert these standard texts in the SAPScript choose the menu, Insert->Text->Standard and choose the standard text that you want to choose.
Alternatively, you can display standard texts in your SAP Scripts using the command:
INCLUDE ZSTEXT OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE EN
where ZSTEXT refers to the Standard Text name.

Dispaly standard text in SAP SCRIPT which content saved using SAVE_TEXT FM
I want to display one standard text content in SAP SCRIPT and want to store content of it during run time.
For that, first I have created one standard text using SO10.Named the standard text as Z_TEST_WRITE. Initially it was empty.
In my SAP SCRIPT, I try to display the content of the standard text using below given SAP SCRIPT code and report program. Although I am able to store text in Standard text
Z_TEST_WRITE but in first display of the SCRIPT it is not displaying against the include command of SAP SCRIPT. But when I see the content of Z_TEST_WRITE through SO10 transaction, I can see the content with new text which was previously empty.
Now if I do the same transaction newly (suppose second time), then text stored in standard text Z_TEST_WRITE is displaid against includes command of SAP SCRIPT.
My print program is a SAP STANDARD which one can be changed.

If the text is getting displayed the second time, then this should be due to delay in saving the text.
After your COMMIT WORK AND WAIT in your report program, just put a WAIT FOR 2 SECS and check again.

Dear Experts,
I have a requirement, where I have to pass some text-lines from my selection-screen of the driver-program to the sap-script,i.e. whatever I write in those text fields that should be displayed(printed) on the specified place of my script. Another specification is that,
those lines will get printed only if the checkbox on my selection-screen is checked.
What should be the procedure, please help me.The text lines on the selection screen will be in a variable. Pass the variable to the SAPScript. I don't see the problem.

Hi,
I have asked to provide a matrix type layout in SAP Script. Also in this matrix, number of columns is not fixed. At runtime it will be decided that how many columns will be there on the layout depending on the data fetch by the program. Can we provide this using requirement using SAP script or smartforms.
Thanks & Regards
vatsaHi Vatsa,
Just before getting into the SAP-script, determine how many columns needs to be displayed in the output and pass that variable to the SAP-script.
In SAP-script, whereever you define the BOX for displaying the columns, use the following commands. Use the necessary size for the width of the column.
An example is given below.
Data: W_No_of_Columns&> type i.
/: IF &<W_No_of_Columns&> EQ '4'
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '59' CH FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '6.5' CH FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '15' CH FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '25' CH FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '36.5' CH FRAME 10 TW
ENDIF.
/: IF &<W_No_of_Columns& EQ '5'
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '59' CH FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '6.5' CH FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '15' CH FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '25' CH FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '35' CH FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX HEIGHT '22.20' LN WIDTH '45' CH FRAME 10 TW
ENDIF.
Hope this helps.
