Positioning form windows

In Forms 6i, is it possible to control where a new window would open up to whether it be in relation to the whole screen or the window that opened it? I have a main window that opens an options box. That option box opens nicely down and to the right a little. I created that window and don't remember doing anything special to get it to do that. That option box can open another option box, however, that one opens in the top left corner of the screen. What can I do to have the second window pop-up in a better location? Thanks in advance.

Make sure your entering language and orginal language of the script is same or not.
utilities -> convert orginal language..
Procedure if you are using English as entering language:
Enter script name -> Enter language as DE -> change -> utiliteis -> convert orginal language -> change it DE to EN -> now back and re-enter into script...

Error While opening a JSP page from inside form window

Hi,
I am using Oracle EBS 12.0.4 and using IE 7 as my browser.
Now when i am trying to open a jsp page form EBS Home page (after login) it is opening perfectly.The problem occurs when i tried to open jsp pages from inside form window.
E.g. From the home page when i tried to open a jsp page "Control Purchasing Periods" which is assigned in one of our custom responsibility(Manager Systems-->PO Super User-->Set up-->Financials-->Accounting-->Control Purchasing Periods) it opens a new log in page for the EBS. When i logged in it is showing

You have insufficient privileges for the current operation. Please contact your System Administrator. Same is happening when i am trying to open User Page form user management responsibility from inside a form window.Where as it is opening fine from home page.

When using webutil_file_transfer.client_to_db_with_progress or db_to_client_with_progress to load/view a document an intermittent fault occurs. If the Forms window is running on a second monitor then the forms window goes blank while the document up/downloads, and does not return unless dragged to the first window. The problem does not occur every time, and never when only one monitor is used. Maximizing the forms window also seems to cure the problem, but this is not a feasible option.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The problem is if the Window is made modal, it blocks the Outlook to launch and also goes back of the Outlook loading window (Whats New window will not be having keyboard focus). And if the Window is made non-modal (passing false to DisplayWhatsNewDialog()),
Outlook launches properly and What's New window comes at the top but will not be having keyboard focus; instead the launched Outlook window will be having the keyboard focus. May anyone please suggest a way to make the What's New window to be always having

The ShowDialog method will block the current thread. If you want to continue working with Outlook objects you need to use the Show method instead. The key fact is that both methods (Show and ShowDialog) accepts an instance of the IWin32Window interface
which allows to specify the parent window handle. Specifying the parent window handle (Outlook Explorer window) to the Show method you can make your window shown on top of Outlook all the time.
To get the HWND of an Outlook explorer object (e.g. Application.ActiveExplorer), cast it to IOleWindow and call IOleWindow.GetWindow(). Also you may find the

This forum is dedicated to Non-Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) forms development. I suggest you post your question in the General EBS Discussion forum. Developing Forms for the EBS is very different fr0m non-EBS forms because of the EBS Framework.
Probably the biggest mistake developers make when writeing EBS Forms is to create a form fr0m scratch rather than use the EBS TEMPLATE.fmb. The second biggest mistake is to not attach all of the necessary libraries. I suggest you take a look at the Oracle Applications Documentation library. Select your EBS version and then scroll to the Standards section and review the following documents:

Form window not printed

Hi, I'm working on a form in transaction SE71. I used graphical form painter and created a new form window. In "edit text" I copied the code from another window. The code just prints a logo and some text. The point was just to see that the new window will be printed (it's an invoice template), but that was not the case. I did activate the form after modification. Should I perform some particular action to make the new window visible when printing the invoice?

I copied the window on the same page on which the original one is located. I used the graphical form painter so I can see the window dimensions. When I click on the "window" tab of "page layout" in SE71 I can see the margins and dimensions of the new window and it looks OK to me (I don't see any additional parameters to define here).

SAPScript: Positioning a Window (Graphic) behind the main window

Hello,
I want to print a graphic behind the main window. But I am not able positioning a window or graphic-window behind the main window. The result is that my graphic always shows up in front of the printed text of the main window and not behind the text of the main window, as I wish. I thought that the order of the windows determines which windows is on top? But I am not able of putting a window before the 'MAIN' design window.

Not sure if you got a fix for this or not yet, but the easy way is to create multiple user parameters entry boxes, kinda like p_item, p_item1, p_item2 and then in the SQL, ITEM=p_item or ITEM=p_item1 etc.

to document type. Which means, you can define as much sequence no.
user likes. It is not possible to copy the sequence no. along with

   I have discovered that CONTROL-Command-O will open a pre-positioned window in place while closing its parent. (I think it was Option-Command-O previously.) If you are working in folders within folders, you will need to move the topmost window slightly to the side to allow the first level to open in pre-positioned place.

Not sure you can get there from here
Double-clicking will open an enclosed Folder in place, in step fashion....all you need to do to move back is to either click 'Back' in the menu bar of that window.
Double-click on the parent folder in the icon row along the bottom of that window to move back to it or any higher level folder to the left.
If you hold the command key and click once on the icon in the top center of that window's upper margin, you will see a vertical list of any parent folders in order (top most at the bottom)...click on one to move to it.
As you can see, 'back' here is thus defined at least three ways: back, left & down. While it can be distracting to some people who may prefer what at least appears to be a more structured environment, the goal is to provide choices so that the OS appears to provide flexibility rather than being hardwired/inflexible. Don't let the number of choices confuse you - find a style that suits your flow and be happy.
If you want to peer into some of the thinking behind Apple software, you would do well to invest time (and I don't mean just a quick glance) in reading the 'Apple Human Interface Guidelines' at this link...

Form "window" Menu changed after Migration

I have migrated form 6i to 10g.After migration the forms WINDOW menu contain a menu item (which is a radio button ) called FILLER_WINDOW.
Client wants to disable this menu item.
Can i disable it?
