Possible to create .app of .jar which links to another project's .jar?

Hi,
I have 2 Projects. One uses simple java and the other one uses java fx 2.2.3.The executable .jar of the simple java project needs to be linked with the data files and .jar of the java fx project.
I have created a .app of the java fx project,but then the .app links with its jar.What I want is,the .app of the simple java project should refer to the jar of java fx.Is it Possible?

Presumbly locking wouldn't work?Not really: Locking would mean that only one client/person could use the library using the Java wrapper. That in fact is the shortcoming I'd like to overcome by instantiate multiple processes.

For example

A is Primary Column.

C is Conditional Mandatory.

Only if the B Column has the value then only C column should be mandatory

I guess you can't create a condtional mandatory column directly. However, you can use check constraint to on the column

Link to another Project folder

I need to link to a module in another project folder. I used
the click box and in the On Success chose Open other project and
picked the swf file using the elipsis. However, when I ran it, it
was looking for the file in the same folder as my current course
not in the other project folder. Can I not link to another project
folder using Captivate. We want to reuse components from one
project to another without having multiple copies in every folder.

With JavaScript, you're limited primarily by your
imagination, so the example I offered was intentionally generic.
In practical use, you would probably want Captivate to pass
only the destination folder & filename and let the JavaScript
function create the full path. Assuming the relative folder
structure is the same on each server, you'd only need a single
generic function.
For example, if you wanted to launch a file named
"introduction.htm" in an adjacent folder named "course02", you
could add the following to Captivate:
javascript: goToMovie('course02','introduction.htm');
and add the following to your standard.js file (so it gets
automatically propagated to each published course):
function goToMovie(strFolder, strFile)
var arrPath = window.location.href.split('/');
arrPath[arrPath.length-2] = strFolder;

The Captivate function passes the folder and file name as
quoted string variables and the JavaScript function then uses those
variables to create a new URL. You can get as fancy as you like,
such as adding logic to go up more than one folder level, but
hopefully you get the general idea.

Indeed it is possible. You must use some JavaScripting and Variables and Advanced Actions, but it can happen with Captivate 4.

Unable to link to another project

Hi there
Relatively new to captivate, so just wondered if somebody
tell me if I'm doing something wrong. I have created a quiz with
about 30 questions. At the end of the quiz I want the user if they
require to link to a different project with a detailed explanation
about the correct answer to each question (I know I could do this
in the review section of each question, but there doesn't seem to
be enough room within the review question textbox to place the
answer and there seems no way to create a scrolling textbox in
captivate
when I create a slide and place a button on the slide linking
it to another project, when I view that slide in the Web browser
and click on the button it won't take me to the new project, and
comes up with an error message about not finding the file.
Any insight as to what I'm doing wrong would be greatly
appreciated.

When you assigned the action to the button, exactly what
action did you assign? If you selected "Open other project", you
should have been prompted to navigate to where the other project
exists on your hard drive. After you publish, you then need to
ensure that both outputs exist in the same folder.

Is it possible to create one home page with links to multiple forms in Adobe Forms Central?

I have several forms that are all related. Is it possible to have one online landing page where I can link to my other forms from?
It would be easier to share one link than multiple.

You could create either a web page of your own to include the links into, or you could create a form that you include the links in - maybe add them as single checkbox fields where the user could check the box stating that they have filled out the related form. There is a "Insert or edit Link" button in the top toolbar when designing a form, select text you would like to represent the link and click the link button to add the URL to a form.
The responses for each form would be connected to those individual forms and would not be presented together. When you recieve responses from the various forms you would not have any built in way to connect the same user to the variuos forms but you could include a "Required" email field in all forms so that you can see who submitted which forms that way.

About the closest you can get is to use the Tools > Document Processing > Web Capture > Append all links on page command, which will traverse the links and append them to your existing PDF that has been captured from a web site.

This is may sound as a beginner question but thats because i am a beginner. i have just learned the java language and now i am reading essential classes on oracle tutorials.
anyway is this possible ? i think it is and i have been trying to do it but havent been sucessful. and if it is possible is it supposed to be easy ?
i have been trying to do it by making a 2d array of 8 arrays having 8 ints each which is basically a sudoku. and creating a 1d array called possiblity having nos from 1 to 9. then using decision making statements and loops to eliminate the possiblities of each box and repeating until the sudoku is complete
also if you could provide some project ideas that would be really appreciated.
(PS i am still an intermediate at best so please dont provide very difficult project ideas)

It should be easy to do a "brute force attack" to find the solution meaning that you simply try each and every possibility.

But an array of primitives (int?) will not do the trick. Somehow you have to remember wich positions are fixed. and which numbers are still availabe for the current sqare.
At your level the most obvisual approach may be a second array holding this information.
I'd prefer to build a cusom object representing a square and another custom object to represent a field within this square with two attributes: currentNumber and isFix.
Based on this the Sqare object could have a method to create a new combination by shifting the numbers that are not fix.
If you need further assistance please show the code you have and what problem(s) you have with it.

There's no nuilt-in LabVIEW function or tool to do it, but Dave Ritter published an artical in the LabVIEW Technical Resource last year that described how to do this. It uses the Event Structure so you need to have at least LabVIEW 6.1.

InDesign CS6: Is it possible to create a pdf in which the version for printing is different from that on the screen?

Everything is in the title!
The idea is to make a pdf that I send to clients by email, very graphic with colored backgrounds but when printed, the background becomes white to save ink. Similarly to the change of color of the text.
For example, on the screen when I open a pdf I see white text on a blue background but the impression we see black text on white background.

A more flexible solution was given to me on the French forum by Mr. JR Boulay
"We need to generate 2 PDF, one with color and one in black and white. Open the PDF with Acrobat b & w and in the layers palette ask "Import as Layer" color PDF.
Who will come on top. In the Layer Properties it only remains to define the PDF / color layer as "not printable."
It will just be careful that the color PDF has no white background because in PDF it means transparency and thus we see through ...
(Just use black backgrounds at 1% to fix this problem). "

Drag the app to the edge of screen 1, hold it there and wait until it switches to screen 2, then move to where you want on screen 2.

Possible to create a pool of JVM's from another JVM's ?

currently I'm researching on a small task where a native "black box" C++ library needs to be integrated into Java, developing some kind of JNI-based wrapper. I've done this already with SWIG two times before, worked quote well, but this time it's different: The wrapper will be used from a multiuser application (i.e. various parallel working calls) but the native library is not only not threadsafe, but it also utilises static variables at central places.
My idea is the follwing
1) The standard solution part: create a wrapper application in it's own JVM which exposes the native interfaces as Java interfaces
2) Instantiate multiple of these wrappers as separate processes (i.e.: separate JVMs, the "inside JVM") from another JVM ("outside JVM").
3) The outside JVM uses the multiple instances in a kind of "round-robin" or "next free" pattern to assign new calls to a set of "worker JVM".
The interesting part of this question is in 2): How can I instantiate a [set of] new JVM from inside another JVM so the inside JVM are really their own processes? Only by having the multiple instances as separate processes I can overcome the problem of the single-threaded native lib becoming "quasi-multithreading"?
The easiest approach would be likely to start new JVMs using the "Process" object and to start new JVMs with the usual shell scripts. But I'd like to have some more elegant ,-)) Is there any way to have this done in a better way?

Cannot update Apps as they are linked to another users account

Hello,
I've just been given a 27 inch iMac in work. My god its a lovely machine.
There are a number of apps in the app store that have updates, these are linked to the previous users account. He has left the company.
Everytime I try to update the apps, it gives me the following message:
Sign in to [email protected] to update applications from that account.
How do I update these apps ?
Note: I cam across this link, http://www.ngpixel.com/2011/06/25/mac-app-store-you-have-updates-available-for-t he-other-accounts-bug/ but it didn't work for me.

Yes, that article is for someting else entirely.
I'm confused, is this computer really yours, or on loan from the company.
If they really gave it to you, I would just make my own administrative account, and use that as you have no idea what other kind of mal-ware could be installed on the former.
