Possible to stop a "copying of files" which is in it's third day now?

The file has 216GB in it, a TM stamped bakup. It's taking way too long to copy. Can I stop it in it's tracks without too much damage.
Still learning about Unix and terminal.
Today the "copy" screen says, "copying 6,166 items," and estimated 216 GB at "About a day." That's better than yesterday when it said "3 days."
What to do, it won't let me log out of the computer, anyway. So I just turn the illumination all the way off and go to sleep, wake up the next morning now for 3rd time, raise the illumination, yep still copying. Lower the illumination and go to work.
Get back home and the cycle continues. Like the Bill Murray movie, "Ground Hog Day!"
Any suggestions to getting out of this time loop?

Hold down the Option key and right-click on the Finder icon in the Dock. Choose Relaunch.
I believe that will kill the copy, and I don't think it will cause any problems.

ITunes stops at "copying new files" during installation?

Well, my laptop is new and I wanted to install iTunes. I downloaded it directly from the official Apple website, but whenver I try to install it, it stops at "copying new files". The whole laptop stops functioning and I have to shut it down via the power button. I tried installing iTunes at least 3 times and it ended in the same result. I was afraid that shutting down my laptop that way anymore would harm my laptop, so I decided to get some help.

Any help? I need an answer to this as soon as possible.

How to stop adding " copy" to file names?

First off, I don't mind the save as a copy feature. If I have a psd file with layers and smart objects and such, and I Save As > JPG, I don't want the jpg open, I want the psd open. I like how PS does that behavior, but I don't like how that jpg gets " copy" added to it's file name. Yes it's easy to remove, but I'm using a batch action on over 300 pictures, I don't feel like renaming 300 jpg's. Yes it's supposed to be a safety net, but I basically never work from jpg's as original's, and if for some reason I do, I set them as read only and copy the files off to a safe location, so I don't need it.
I know it's possible because my old school's computers with photoshop CS5 never saved jpg's with copy in the file name. So, how do I stop PS CS5 from adding copy to my file names? Because I need photoshop to not add copy to my file names on my work computer (and it's my old school, can't use their computers or ask someone why it's like that).

ikumajap's response made me realize the reason the "save as copy" is greyed out is because it has layers. So all you have to do is add a "flatten image" action first, then a new "save as jpg" that does not include the copy. I tried adding flatten to my old action but it still added "copy" so you do have to make a new save action. This, of course, will not alter your original file as long as you don't add a plain old save in there first.

How do i stop loading a swf file which is still in progress.

//I have three buttons on the stage (btn1, btn2, btn3)
when i click the first button swf starts loading
while the swf is loading if i press the 2nd button
the first swf wont stop loading and both the swfs start playing
but if the first swf is fully loaded then every thing workes fine.
so please let me know how do i stop loading a file which is still in progress.

I have 4 movieclips (_a,_b,_c,_d) when i click each of the movieclip they load a SWF(my_mc)
now when the swf file loades it starts loading a Sound(mp3)
Now when i press another button (_b) while this mp3 is loading
all the methords like Loader.close and loader.unloadAndStop() workes fine but i dont know how dose the MP3 loades and start playing

Downloaded a music file which originally played through my playlist, but now says it cannot find the original file associated with it. Takes me to the root directory, but this does not help.

You would need to locate the song on your computer to link them back up so it will play. If you cannot find it and it was purchased from the iTunes Store, you can delete the track and download it again for free.

How can I copy mp3 files which are already located by itunes to the actual itunes folder?

I would like to transfer my whole itunes library to a new computer. I know that this can be done by copying the whole itunes folder on the old computer (if you want to keep all the data of the itunes files). However, I have a little problem. Since I had a long period in which I did not download music from itunes or I got music from others, most files are not in the itunes library folder. I kept them in many different folders all over my hard disk, because it is a quite big collection from the past decade orso. In that time, I just dragged the files to itunes, so itunes can now locate them. They are not in the actual itunes library folder though. Is there a possible way to let itunes locate the files (it already has the locations) and put/copy them in the itunes library folder?

With these options selected in Edit > Preferences > Advanced:
select File > Library > Organize Library... When you get this prompt:
check the Consolidate files box and - if not greyed out - the Reorganize files ... box, and click OK. iTunes will then copy any media files that are not stored in the iTunes Media folder structure into it, so that you can then copy the complete iTunes folder to your new computer.

Time Capsule WiFi stops when copying large files to Windows 7 (Bootcamp) using WiFi

I've got a new Time Capsule (Purchased less than a month ago) and a new Macbook Pro.
I copied a large set of files (large in QTY & some Large in size > 2GB) to my Time Capsule from a Windows 7 computure via a Wired connection.
When I access the time capsule from Mac OS X (10.8.2) I can copy all of the existing files to my Mac without any issue (Time machine also seems to be working fine).
However when use I Bootcamp (Windows 7 Ultimate) from my MacBook (The Time Capsule / Airport software for windows has been installed) I can only copy about 100 MB before the WiFi in the time capsule stops working. The WiFi doesn't just stop working for Windows, it stops working on the actual Time Capsule; I can tell because my phone and iPad both lose their connection and the AirPort Utility on the iPad can't detect the Time Capsule any more.
The issue is reproducable every time with the set of files I am trying to copy.
I've called Apple Support and they said there was nothing they can do to help (It took a long time to even convince some one that this is a supported configuration even though the Technical Specifications of the time capsule clearly state that Windows 7 is supported - http://www.apple.com/timecapsule/specs.html "For AirPort Disk with a USB hard drive - PC with Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista (SP2), or Windows 7 (SP1)") at which point they told me to take it to a Genius bar. I've subsequently done that and been told that they will not support the Time Capsule because I am trying to connect to it using Bootcamp.
From what I've seen on this forum some people previously had this issue and worked around it by downgrading the firmware. However, since my Time Capsule is new, I am unable to downgrade the firm ware (& it is the latest).
Any suggestions?

No, it's not a Windows driver issue. 1) If it was a Windows driver issue the network copy would drop out on the Windows machine or fail rather than the whole Time Capsule losing WiFi connectivity for all devices in my house. 2) I am able to copy the exact same set of files, via the Time Capsule WiFi, when the files are stored on my PC which is plugged in to the Time Capsule via an Ethernet cable.
It's not a problem copying the same files from another location on my network with the MBP in Bootcamp therefore it' not a windows driver issue and it's not a network IP issue. It's a Firmware issue with the Time Capsule.
At best this is a bug that has been reintroduced in the latest firmware which is why the suggestions have been to downgrade the firm ware.
At worst this is a major security issue with the Time Capsule as copying a set of files from it's hard disk via it's WiFi, using a Windows computer, cause the Time Capsule to be subseptiable and result in a Denial-of-Service.

Copying minidisc "files" into iTunes

I have a lot of personal music files recorded onto minidisc - killer technology at the time but pretty useless now.
Does anyone know of a way to copy these files, which I believe are strictly "linear" and must be played through unlike than files that can be copied and pasted, into iTunes?

How about connecting to computer through audio in. Playback minidisc while recording the audio using Audacity. Same process is used when getting cassette tapes into computer.

Copying changed files only

Hello all,
I've created an Automator task which copies specific folders from one drive to another for backup purposes. Since there are many files this process is running too long. Is there a way to copy only files which have been added or changed since last backup?

If you're not going to use the drive on a Windows machine, you should use Disk Utility (Applications>Utilities folder) to erase the drive and format it as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" with a single GUID partition (default):

Sorry, yes this is Microsoft Excel. The Microsoft XP has Excel files denoted as xl, the later versions of Microsoft Excel are denoted as xls files. The later verions of Microsoft Excel open the xl files OK, does Excel for Mac not able to do this?

Yes,It is possible to send an email as PDF file to desired people.
For this we have to use the medium as "5(External send)".
Also maintain the further data as "4".
Ask your ABAPer to write a code to send the e-mail to sales agents.
We have a similar requirement in our project also to send a PDF.We have developed a "Z" program and developed a "Z" smartform too.

You need to setup an output for this, with partner fundtion 'External Send' and Comunication strategy.

Na origem do seu problema podem estar várias causas. Nomeadamente:
O ficheiro (arquivo) que está a ler pode não ser texto, ou seja, pode ser texto transformado em imagem e exportado como PDF.
A aplicação de destino (onde está a tentar colar o texto copiado) pode não aceitar a colagem de texto formatado.
A aplicação que está a utilizar para abrir os ficheiros PDF pode não ser indicada para certo tipo de documentos. Experimente o iBooks, o Dropbox ou até mesmo o seu e-mail.
No caso de nenhuma destas causas estar na origem do seu problema, forneça, por favor, mais informações sobre a origem do ficheiro (descarga pelo Safari, Mail ou outro) bem como o destino (documento Pages, Keynote ou Numbers ou outra aplicação que não o iWork).
