Possible to stream from phone to laptop?

I'm guessing the answer to my question is "no" but thought I'd ask anyway in case I'm missing something.
Without jailbreaking, is it possible to stream my songs from my iPhone 4 to my laptop using a bluetooth or wireless network?

Since all iTunes content on your iPhone should be in your iTunes library on your computer, why not play the music with iTunes on your computer? You can stream from your iTunes library on your computer via wi-fi, but not from your iPhone, and you can use your iPhone as a remote for your iTunes on your computer.

Bluetooth streaming from phone where is A2DP SINK?

I've had this computer for over a year now and have never been able to stream audio to it from my iphone5, it pairs easily.
Ive been checking for updated drivers for it for awhile, but the last updated driver @ HP is from 2013. I went to Media Tek's website today after i found out they bought Ralink and found there updated driver dated 2014 and tried it, but i still can't stream from phone to pc. I also tried uninstalling the driver and then installing a generic driver but there is none listed. What can i do to get this functioning?

I understand that you have been having issues streaming from your iphone5 on your HP ENVY h8-1534 Desktop PC running Windows 8.1. Are you able to sync and stream via bluetooth to any other device on your computer? Have you tried it on the original operating system Windows 8? I would advise you to use all the drivers that are on the HP ENVY h8-1534 Desktop PC Drivers page. As these are the driver specifically designed for your computer they will have the best chance of working for you.

Still possible to stream from rhapsody?

so I pulled out my DMP100 + DMRW1000 which I haven't used in a couple years. I got everything setup and working except Rhapsody. Is it still possible to stream from Rhapsody? Cisco Media Player connects to rhapsody and I can browse everything, however when I try and play I get error "Could not download from the Rhapsody server. Please check your network settings and try again. Press OK to continue.". Then I go to Cisco Account Management (https://services.linksys.com/home-central/account/login.html?lcid=1033), login, click services and get this error "Error 500: Method invocation failed during rendering of Velocity view with name 'services/index': Invocation of method 'getSubscriptionStateMessage' in class com.cisco.account.commons.Utility threw exception org.springframework.context.NoSuchMessageException: No message found under code 'Unknown Subscription Status' for locale 'en_US'. at services/index.vm[line 161, column 42]; reference [accountUtility], method 'getSubscriptionStateMessage'; nested exception is org.springframework.context.NoSuchMessageException: No message found under code 'Unknown Subscription Status' for locale 'en_US'.
I'm hesitant to sign up for account at Rhapsody because I'm not sure it will sync with Cisco account.

Still no luck. I even signed up for rhapsody account with identical email address and password as Cisco account. When I try and play from Cisco Media Center I get "Rhapsody service download error". When I login to Cisco account to configure services there are no services to choose from and webpage reports error.

I would like to know if it is possible to stream videos, music and pictures from my iphone to my samsung smart tv or is homegroup on my laptop a possible alternative meanwhile?
Basically I am looking to link laptop + phone + TV for a digital playground of fun... if you know what I mean

There is strong evidence to suggest the AppleTV will be updated in the near future to support 1080p video.
If you believe the rumour sites (iPhone 5 anyone?) there is evidence to suggest the AppleTV will be updated to support 1080p video. However, no evidence of a timescale for the update has been found, so not necessarily "in the near future".

Possible to stream from FMLE to another (desktop)computer?

This is some kind of a challenge: I'm trying to find a
sollution for streaming a video signal from one computer
(preferably with FMLE) and pick up the video stream on another
computer and show the video fullscreen.
So far it seem to me that FMLE is only able to deliver the
video stream to a Flash Media Server. Is this correct?
I'm hoping it is possible to stream the video from FMLE and
"pick up" that single stream from another computer with maybe a
program like VLC (or another application? - I just read that VLC
supports RTMP streams), and show the video fullscreen.
In theory, maybe I can use Flash Media Server for this, if it
is able to show the video it's picking up fullscreen.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be apreciated!

Windows Media Encoder and Player as a combination can do this "direct pull" from an encoder to a player without a server in the middle. But in all the years of commercial live streaming I have done in 10 years, Flash Media Encoder can not be operated in the same way. A Flash Server has to be in the middle.

Need Help transfering data from phone to laptop

I have a 4G Samsung that I no longer use, but I still have pictures and music on it that I would like to transfer to my laptop. How can I do that? I bought a ONN Micro USB Sync and Charge Cable to do exactly that. Each time I plug it into the

I am more than happy to assist you with transferring videos from your device to a laptop. May I ask what is the make and model of the device that the videos are on? Also, are you transferring the videos to a Windows or OS X laptop. I'm assuming that these are videos that you recorded with the phone, correct? With everything being equal, there are two ways to transfer videos from phone to a laptop.
The easiest way is by using a memory card. The video can be transferred to memory card and plug the memory card into the laptop. Although most laptops have memory card ports, you may have to purchase an adaptor if one isn't present. Once the memory card is connected to the PC, the videos can be copied onto the computer's hard drive.
Note: The recommended video file player to play videos from Verizon devices is QuickTime, which can be downloaded from www.apple.com/quicktime.
The second method to transfer videos from a phone to a laptop via video message. Simply, send the file to an email address. Once the video has arrived at the email address, the file can be saved to the laptop. Keep in mind that there is a file size threshold for sending videos via MMS as well as with most commonly used email address provider. In either case, let me know how this works out for you!

Audio streaming from phone to yoga 2 pro via bluetooth issue

I have got a Yoga pro 2 recently and the problem I'm having is that I;m unable to stream audio from my Nexus 5 phone to the pc through bluetooth. The device and the pc paired normally during setup. Though I find it odd that when I turn off bluetooth connectivity on the phone and turn it back on, the pc does not automatically connect so I have to unpair or remove and redo a new find and pair for the two. Ok, now the problem is after the connection is set nothing happens and there is no way to stream the audio to the yoga pc running windows 8.1. On my other pc, a Sony Vaio, also running win 8.1 pro (upgraded from win 8 pro) , once the phone and the Sony are paired via bluetooth, a windows pops out to immediately play the audio. I have check all the bluetooth drivers and they are up to date, and I even downloaded bluetooth drivers from lenovo support but no change. What's missing? Why can I not stream audio via BT? Why nothing happens when connected?

Bluetooth tethering is sharing your phone's internet connection with the computer, that's why there is an extra charge. This is not what you want. I would go into the bluetooth settings of both your phone and computer to make sure you are not missing something. How to send pics from phone to laptop

Ive got the iphone 4s and am trying to send pics from the phone to the laptop but all itunes seems to want to do is to send pics and music from the laptop to the phone. This was so much easier with my HTC so it shouldnt be this hard with an iphone surely.

When you connect you Iphone to your computer, if you are using Windows, Camera and Picture Wizard (or just use My Computer and copy and paste the pictuers) you can use to import photos. If using you MAC you can use Image Capture and import the photos That is what I do for backup up all my photos and videos.
Wirelessly, I use PhotoSync app. I think its a $1.99 but I love it. It can sync photos wirelessly to a MAC or Windows, but also supports Supports direct upload via Wi-Fi and 3G/LTE to your favorite web services - Dropbox, Google+/Picasa, Facebook, SmugMug, Flickr, Box, Zenfolio, (S)FTP, WebDAV & iDisk. It can also send to other iOS devices as I do this to send pics directly to my IPAD or other peoples iOS.

Streaming from phone through TV

On a Android phone can you use the transfer/charge cable to stream movies/youtube etc. to the USB input on your TV? I know it would depend on the TV and possible what version of the android os but has anybody tried it? My phone doesn't have a micro hdmi output to use.

If the TV could mount the phone as a USB device it could probably play movies...not true streaming but it might work.

Uploading videos from phone to laptop but getting ...

I have a nokia 6303 classic and i'm trying to upload videos filmed on it to my laptop via the data cable. the videos seem to be uploading fine but i'm not getting any sound on them. Just wondered what i am doing wrong??

When you say 'uploading' what do you mean ? I simply drag and drop all media to and from my phone, and provided you have PC suite, Windows media Player and VLC on the PC one of them will play it fine. !!

i am ABLE to send files from laptop to phone but wen i try it the other way round, the phone freezes at 0%.. i have to switch it off and restart it.. any idea why??

Importing photos from phone to laptop

I am unable to import photos from my phone to my laptop using desktop software. This is a new issue as I have not previously had a problem.
I have taken new photos and moved them from 'camera pictures' to 'picture library' but BB desktop software does not recognise that there are new photos to import.
Suggestions please.

You'll need to use the Files application on your phone (normally in the Applications folder) to cut and paste them back to the camera folder.

Streaming from iTunes on laptop overheats the laptop

I am streaming video podcasts from my macbook pro to my apple tv. Macbook pro is connected wirelessly.
Not doing anything else on the macbook pro and it heats up to about 65 degrees in no time. Is this expected?
Any way to reduce this overheating? Many thanks.

Sorry my friend, by the firewall is the problem. When it is switched on AirTunes does not stream and when it is switched off it works fine. I, and it seems others on this forum, have checked this a number of times - I did at least a dozen of times or so. Firewalls are not just on the border of the network as you seem suggesting, but they can also protect an individual machine and each comes with its own application and/or ipfw firewall.
There is no question about the fact that the *OS X Server* Firewall/AirTunes have an incompatibility, the question is how to resolve it...

Possible to stream from PC to new G4 box?

Subject says it all really .....I've just bought a G4 BT youview box & would like to know how (if it can even be done), how I can stream video content to the BT youview box from my PC?

If you are just wanting to stream video to your tv from your pc, it is quite easy, provided that both the pc and the tv have HDMI ports. You just need a wifi adaptor to your pc (or I suppose you could use the ethernet cable, but mine is reserved for my YouView box.)
By using the HDMI cable, you can use the tv speakers for sound - just make the necessary adjustments on your pc settings.
Beware however that older titles when streamed don't fill a modern widescreen tv screen fully - either they are in 4:3 format or letterbox to preserve the original aspect ratio.
I'm not technically minded and I managed it from scratch as an experiment, so others should find it all easy too.
