How to send response back to html page which sent request to my jsp page.

Yes I know all these implicit objects,but all these are in JSP.
I want reply from JSP in HTML means at client side.
See my steps:
1.creating HTML page.
2.creating form in that html page
3.Then Accessing Database(some data which is required at client side for further processing like mapping in Google map) through JSP
So here how do I get data from JSP page.

Select entities in a swf file and pass back to html page

Hi,
I am new to flash. I got a dwg file converted into swf file. Now I want this swf file to embed in html page. No issue with that.
The tricky part for me is to let the user select the entites of the file such as line/circle as one might select in autocad. After entity selection the swf file (by any means) pass the selected entity information back to the html page ( to the javascript function).
Is this feasible?

Content-Lenght header on html pages

I hope this is a simple one, and I am just lame in my web searching skills, but how would one get the Sun One Web Server 6.1 to include the Content-Length response header on requests for html pages?
If I curl the web server for say an exe file (application\octet-stream mime type) the server sends me a Contetn-Length header in the response. When I curl a html page from the same server there is no Content-Length header in the response.
I have a developer that wants to use this header to determine if we need to delete the object from our CDN network, which by the way does provide the Content-Length response header on html pages.

If there's no Content-Length header in the response when you request a .html file, server-parsed HTML has likely been enabled. When server-parsed HTML (aka SHTML or SSI) is enabled, the server parses the .html file and dynamically generates a response. When the response is dynamically generated, the server doesn't know how long the response will be until it has been completely generated. As a result, the server may omit the the Content-Length header.
You can disable server-parsed HTML in the administration server GUI.

FIREFOX 26 changed the 'post crash' page with the list of windows and pages. It was a real HTML page with links for each page. Now it isn't (and blows)

This used to be a real HTML page and it isn't any more. THis choice was pure isiocy consider how peopel used that page every day (try taking to your users for a change).
The pages listed on that 'post crash page' used to be actual LINKS (you could right click them &
manually open them in another tab - and most peope DID that every day). You could also (and I did this a lot) drag a second
copy of the page, into a new tab (to keep track of all the pages I had not wanted to open)
Now the pages are no longer links. You cannot right-click them.
The thing in the probser is no longer a page that I can drag into a new tab.
Roll the version back and throw this one in the bin...and have a good long talk with your developers about the definition of
'STUPIDITIY'
Then I try to type anything in the addres bar it is suppose to repoond with the history of old things I have types in the past, or
search for what I type (and in some cases I think it tyes to convert it intoa URL). However it no longer does any of these
things. When I type in the ADDRESS BAR ONLY, I do not get all of my letters to appear. I have to type into a notepad or
into the search and to copy and paste to go to a URL. Nothing that is typed into the address bad responds normally at all
anymore, and I am fairly certain there are no new addons on this machine at all. It does not matter which things I disable. It
still does this. W of course points the finger back at a change to FIREFOX. I wich I could just sitct with one stable release
forever but the MOZILLA folk thing it is best to force peopel awy from a working broswer release to a horrible one (due to it
being out of date).
FIREFOX 26.0 has 'issues' (ie new *features*/bugs)
1) History is no longer accurate. My Proof? This machine is the primary one for the entire family (the only PC working). It is
logged in with same user every time and never has its history cleared. It now January 7 so I ought to have a list of all of last
months browing available to me.
However, according to FIREFOX history, in all of December 2013, the entire family only went to 51 primary URL's. None of
the official TV sites I use to get episodes are listed. None of the official movie sites I use are listed. The primary URL for
ebay is not listed. Only 1 out of our 4 weather sites that I use (at least once a week) are listed. Only 1 of our 3 FINANCE
sites is listed. There ought to be several; hundred root URLs listed.
Please fix history as this change seriously "blows greasy chunks"
PROBLEM (a stupid change in the new FIREFOX version)
FOr a long time, after a crash you got a useful page (a real HTML page) which gave you a list of all of your last sessions
'winwos and tabs' that were open when the browser crashed. there were certain ways of using this page that are no longer
able to be done.
The old method was wonderful as it had this behavior :
*** The old method for displaying your 'Recovered Tabs' allowed you to :
a) right click an individual item and open it in a tab without getting rid of that lovely window of your previous session of
'recovered windows and tabs '.
2) drag the URL for the entire window of 'recovered windows and tabs ' to a new tab (to make a second copy) so that you
could select just a few of them to open as a group, and stil have the old list handy.
You can no longer do either of these things. The 'recovered windows and tabs ' page no longer has links in it and can no longer be dragged, so you cant select a few of them to use, and keep the rest around for later. NOW - once you choose which pages to open the window is gone forever (can can't get a second copy).
People used to make a copy of the page for later use (with a drag)
we also used to open pages with a right click (which no longer functions
This new method seriously blows big greasy chunks. A parge loss in function has occurred.
Put things back as they were. 26 is full of terrible changes that NOBODY likes. It also has a lot of bugs (history is not reliable at all)

(1) Firefox's built-in post-crash page has not been a real HTML page for a long time (for example, from the time of Firefox 22, see: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968212 Want to save LOTS of versions of "Restore Session.xht" from the "oops ..." page for later use]). If you had this working differently with Firefox 25, that might have been created by an extension.
You can check to see whether extensions are disabled or need an update on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. The disabled extensions cluster toward the bottom of the list. To poll for updates, use the "gear" button above the list and choose Check for Updates.
If you used the Reset feature (or Firefox automatically did a reset due to some problem during upgrading), you will need to reinstall missing extensions. The reset feature creates a folder on the desktop named Old Firefox Data. Do you have that folder? There may be data you can recover from it.
(2) There are many ways for history to get cleared, both internal to Firefox and external. Could you double-check your Privacy settings?

* The "Firefox will" drop-down says Remember History: Firefox shouldn't be clearing history, but an add-on or external software could do it
* The "Firefox will" drop-down says Use custom settings for history: inspect the "Clear history when Firefox closes" setting to make Firefox isn't set to clear history. Also check your add-ons and consider external software.
Firefox normally accumulates months of history. However, some of Firefox's database sizes are based on disk space available. If your hard drive is very full, Firefox might reduce the amount of history stored.

Deploying simple HTML page to WLS 10.3.6 fails with HTTP response code: 502

- I created a simple HTML page and want to test deployment to WLS 10.3.6 on Linux. I created WAR file and when using JDev 11.1.1.4.0 to deploy to WebLogic Server, it fails to deploy. Full errors/messages are:

HTTP response code 502 means temporarily overloaded.
I would say that we have to check the deployment error on the weblogic server logs located at <Domain_Home>\servers\dupe\logs\dupe.log
Check for any errors like OutOfMemory etc OR any deployment failures.
If possible, try accessing the console at http://dupe:7031/console
Check if you are able to successfully deploy your application using the console.
From the error it looks like the "dupe" server might not be healthy. So, the log file would really help here to get clues into the root cause.

Fast Response Appreciated - Calling Edge Function from an HTML page embedded in iFrame within Comp

This is a tricky one, but it may just be that I don't understand the syntax,
Situation:
I have an Edge Animate composition that is acting as an interface and container into which other content is embedded using an iFrame. I have several functions in Stage > creationComplete, and for one of the embedded content pieces, I want to include a button that calls one of the Edge functions.
Challenge:
I have read about referencing elements within Edge when it is the Edge file that is embedded on an HTML page, but I cannot figure out how to reference Edge in the reverse.
I have tried these options where headerselect(page) is my function:
AdobeEdge.getComposition("EDGE-531849691").getStage().headerSelect("community");
window.top.Edge.getComposition("EDGE-531849691").getStage().headerSelect("community");
This is for a project that is time sensitive. Your immediate help is greatly appreciated!

Looks like someone has already responded to your post. Did that answer your
question? In their suggestion, they indicated that you could actually
created the jplayer instance within the Edge composition, and therefore
have more direct access to its events. If that will not work for you, it
may help to know how your page is laid out. Where is the Edge file in
relation to the jplayer and how do you intend for them to interact? Does
the player need to be outside of Edge for some reason?

What is the most efficient way to post several stories to multiple html pages

What is the most efficient way to post five stories to multiple html pages?
Currently they are all html files saved in DW with some divs sharing content and other divs are unique.
I've experimented with saving stories as library items and dropping into other html but wondered if there is a more efficient or dynamic process.

Retrieving html pages back to Muse?

I made some changes to a muse site and uploaded the revs as html. Now I can't find the original Muse revisions that are now up on the site. Any way to "bring back" the uploaded pages into Muse. I need to make more changes, but don't want to have to recreate the changes I already made.
Any thoughts, recommendations?

Applet:how to display a html-page generated by servlet?

I have an applet which posts data do a servlet and receives a response from the servlet (html-code). can anybody please tell me if there is a possibility to display this received html-page?
(I HAVE to use a post-request to the servler due to a lot of data to send...)
all my applet-servlet-communication is within a session with a jsessionid.
does anybody have a hint for me?

One possibility is to have the servlet create a new .html file on the server and output the HTML code to that file. Then the servlet can pass the name of the file back to the applet, and the applet can useshowDocument(new URL(yourUrlHere), "_blank"); to display the page.

I have problem when I return back to the page prova3.html from the servlet because in the address bar it give me this path:

You have landed in iSight discussions. While your question does not appear to be about iSight, I will try to help.
To try to understand your question, I googled for "ispeak". I found widgets, training vendors, an application called "iSpeak It", and several other items that do not seem to be anything that can be imbedded in html pages.

it is a widget application that you install on your Mac, not imbed in html pages.
If you are trying to find a way to embed code that will read web pages to you, Mac OS X Tiger has that capability without embedding anything in html pages.
• Open System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing
• Click the VoiceOver "On" radio button
• Click on the "Open VoiceOver Utility..." button
• In the window that opens, click "Verbosity" if it is not already selected
• Put a check (tick) mark in the "Speak text under mouse..." box
• When you highlight text in an html page (or anywhere else), VoiceOver will speak the text for you.
If you are trying to find a way to embed code ("ispeak") that will read your web pages to other users, you might find better help from an ispeak forum or html tutorial site:

Calling Webstart without interrupting HTML page flow

I am trying to invoke a JNLP link without interrupting
the HTML page flow. So on my first page i want to click
a link, which will invoke JNLP and will display the second
page, which says something like 'Starting..' and invokes
the 3rd page. The 3rd page keeps waiting on the app server
until the JWS app has logged in an than displays 'Logged In'.
I already managed the above by adding to the second page

</script>However I don't like that solution because it pops up a new window that will close asap, but causes unwanted flickering.
Any ideas?

So, you want to submit an http request when an html element is clicked, and have the response be filled into a container on the page? This type of thing falls under the blanket of Ajax. There are a million Ajax implementations that can do this for you.
For instance, if you were using the prototype library, you would use the [Ajax.Updater|http://www.prototypejs.org/api/ajax/updater] javascript call. Then you could write something like <input type="radio" id="customerInfo" onclick="update(this.id)" />, and call your javascript update function. Any ajax library should know how to construct an xmlHttpRequest object, post it, and get the response back in some way you can use programatically.
How the web server generates the response (servlet or otherwise) is irrelevant. If this is new ground for you, you will want to read up on Ajax technologies, the xmlHttpRequest object, and javascript.

Obtaining HTML page by issuing a call from a PL/SQL procedure

Is there any possibility to obtain HTMLDB -> HTML page from a user defined PL/SQL procedure ?
For example I build an procedure which calls directly
flows_010500.wwv_flow.show(null,p_flow_step_id=>'2',p_flow_id=>'104')
and i try to read the result from htp.showpage, but I get a html response page with a security error.
Maybe is necessary to initialize other parameters?

Scott, I have got two pages in an application one is login page the other is welcome page. my login page will be process by store proceduer to validate the user based on users table that I have created on my schema. If the user login with username and password, if they exist on this table I will like to send them to welcome page. but I get http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/wwv_flow.accept.

Unable to print HTML pages

After a good bit of reading, I found that printing HTML directly to the printer doesn't work for many printers. I don't want to print the code. I want the actual HTML page. I have some code here that reads the HTML file into a JEditorPane and then is rendered into a graphic for printing.
My code compiles fine, I'm not getting any errors, but what I'm also not getting is any pages printing.

There's a Swing forum here where you get answers from people who are good at Swing. Posting here attracts answers from people like me who are mediocre at it.I think that calling validate() on a Container will lay it out and size it's components, even if it hasn't been made visible, but don't take my word for it.
