Posting videos without using Youtube or Vimeo

It is needed to be able to post videos and audio files directly with out going through a third party site like Youtube or Vimeo.

You are all use MacBook laptops, while this forum is Mac Pro tower.
You might want to find the forum for MacBook Pro.

As to why, probably something to do with that last Security Update 3 that I skipped on. Maybe you read about it.
The complaints are likely to be in the "Using Mac OS X Snow Leopard" rather than here.

can i use Iomega 1TB MiniMax Hard Drive FireWire 800/USB for ipad 2 to access videos without using mac or pc ?

No, you can't connect an external drive to the iPad - the iPad doesn't have a USB or firewire port and the camera connection kit only supports the transfer of photos and videos into the Photos app. There are some wifi-enabled drives that can be used to stream content to the iPad e.g. Seagate GoFlex Satellite

  • How do you post imovie online without using youtube?

I need to post a video of my students online, but youtube can not be accessed through the school. I used to post videos through blogspot, but now with imovies, it does not work. Does anyone know a free and safe way to post videos online?

VIMEO is free if you keep your upload volume below a certain level.
FACEBOOK is also free and has the advantage that it is easy to control access to those you have designated as friends.

  • How do download a YouTube video without using a third party software?

I already know, you can press option + cmd +A to open activities window, and double click on the .flv file to start download, but instead of downloading, it plays in another new window, what can I do?

click to flash makes it fairly easy.

  • Green video when using youtube on E51

    Hi,
When ever I try to watch a video on the mobile version, via the WLAN option, of youtube I get very choppy sound and video. Occasionally the video appears to get stuck or turn green.
Now, I have encountered these problems before on my PC and know that this could be caused by using old video codecs. As far as I know, PC Suite has installed the latest software on the phone..
Unfortunately I am not that experienced with mobilephones to know what the exact issue might be.
Can anyone point me out to the right direction?
    Thanks!

    Hello paulm250m
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398
Wi-Fi disconnects or signal strength is less than expected
Move closer to the Wi-Fi router (access point).
Check for sources of potential interference.
Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if signal strength improves.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
    recently used Bluetooth accessories
    VPN and APN settings
    Best of luck,

  • Video Alternatives to YouTube or Vimeo?

This was my question and after finding no solution in forum, I decided to see what I could find elsewhere. I did and wanted to tell you.
First, why am I not happy with the two standards? Commercials, lack of abiltiy to replace existing video. I also want to put up larger videos with streaming.
I also wanted free but later on I wanted more in the way of services, i.e. paid views, analytics, etc.
    I found JWPlayer.com
Free is good. There is one small issue. The free account only allows you to link to your movie file on your hosting ftp. Now for most of you that should not be a problem. If you need more hosting ability such as streaming video or you have a need for very fast video hosting, I recommend setting up an AWS.amazon.com account. You want the S3 services. (Netflix and Amazon video rentals are hosted by AWS).  I have gigs of data on there and my monthly charge is less than $7.00/mo.
However, if you don't want to go to the trouble, you can use JWPlayer paid account to host your videos with lots of features.
FREE JW is just some embed code in your header and on the page. It works great.
    Have a great day.

    Convert to H.264.

  • How do I play videos without using adobe flash player?

I have a galaxy note 8.0 tablet. I am aware that adobe flashplayer is not compatible. I have downloaded adobe air, but I still am unable to play videos for school. Is there any other ways around this issue? Thank you for your help.

What videos do you mean? The PSE tutorial videos? Videos you made in Premiere Elements? Your question isn't clear, particularly not how this relates to photoshop elements. Can you explain in a little more detail just what you want to do and how it pertains to photoshop elements?

  • Is there a way to navigate (TOC) within a video without SWF?

My project requires that we do not use Flash. Is there a way to create bookmarks/TOC inside a video without using Flash/SWF? I was thinking maybe a PDF, but that bookmarks pages, not within a video.
    Suggestions?

I created something like it with Captivate in the past so I was going to again. I guess the scope has changed enough that Captivate is not the right tool. But I thought it was worth asking in case a Captivate user has had a similar need and might have some advice in how I can accomplish this. I don't know much about video editing, but in my research, I haven't yet found a way.

    Welcome to the forum.
Take the list of +"All Known Implementing Classes"+ from here http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/awt/LayoutManager.html and find out what combination best fits your needs.
I usually have some nested BorderLayouts and GridLayouts.
When I need lables and input fields aligned I use GroupLayout (which I personally prefer over GridBagLayout...).
Anyway, you may have got better answers if you postet this in the right place:

  • How to download youtube videos to ipad without using a computer.

How to download youtube videos to ipad without using a computer???  Looking to download some videos people created using Dr. Jean music.  My kid used Dr. Jean in preschool and wanted to keep singing them at home.
Looking for a friend that doesn't use a computer.  I myself have downloaded some kids educational stuff and added to itunes and then put on ipod/ipad using firefox.
Is there an easy way, so they don't go to the photo roll??
    thanks in advance.

There are some Apps you can use, but be careful they will only download these videos inside the App, so you won't ba able to play them in your video app or share them.
Most popular is the app called "Video Download" but there are a lot of alternatives for free and even with more quality which you can pay for.

  • How to link to a youtube or vimeo video in Adobe Presenter

I am new to using Presenter, and am having trouble inserting videos in Adobe Presenter (the videos are often over 1 hour in duration) and am wondering if it's possible to instead insert/embed the link to the video, which is hosted on either YouTube or Vimeo. Is there a simple way to do this?
    Thank you for your help!

Hi akuswara3, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately, it appears that that the method I originally posted (above) is now broken in Presenter 8 and 9.  The YouTube video still plays fine, but otherwise the entire Presenter interface breaks as soon as the video is played (all clickable items stop responding).
That being said, you don't really need to be a Flash developer to create an SWF handler for a YouTube video.  If you have access to the Flash development application, then all you need to do is
Open Flash (from your CS6 bundle)
Paste the above ActionScript into the "Actions Frame"
Modify the script according to the instructions above to make the script call the desired YouTube video
Click File->Publish to output a SWF file.
That's it.  Google's YouTube API (and its AS3 interface) simplifies the matter, doing all the heavy lifting for us.  The end result will be a SWF file that uses the YouTube API to call, load, and play a YouTube video.  Anywhere you can embed that SWF file, you can play a YouTube video.
Unless, of course, Adobe does something to break it.
Oh BTW - as for your last question.  I do believe that the newest release of Adobe Captivate allows for HTML embedding, including <iframes>.  This would effectively eliminate the problem altogether, as you could simply embed YouTube videos using the <iframe> embed code that YouTube generates for you.
But for now, the best way to get a YouTube into Adobe Presenter is via hyperlink (very disappointing).  Instead of a plain text hyperlink, I'd suggest a screenshot of the video and hyperlinking the image instead - or at least creating a "video button" in the PPT (better interface communication).

  • I just bought the new 2014 Mac Mini 2.6 8Gig for $699 at the Apple Store Online. I want to use it for light editing in iMovie making video's for YouTube, I couldn't afford the higher priced models. Is this going to work for me? I hope so..

Will this do basic video editing for YouTube Video's in iMovie, I hope so.  It's all I could afford.
Just under $800 with tax and Applecare.
    It's stock 2.6 8gigs 1 terabyte hard drive.
I have two monitors DVI that I plan to hook to it.
I know it's weak but will it get me going without too much hardship.
I want to grow into the more high priced computers and Final Cut Pro later on.
I know I will need a bigger computer then.
    Thanks

There are many people using the basic (i5) 2012 MacMini and even older ones to edit complex films in FCP X so you should have no problems.
I have been using FCP 7 and FCP X since they came out on my 2008 iMac Core 2 Duo and am thinking of getting the same model as you rather than pay the astronomic price for a new 27" iMac.
The performance won't be quite as fast but it will be at least 4 times faster at rendering than my old iMac.

  • How can I download a 18 minute video I recorded from my iPad to either email or youtube or vimeo I keep getting the message the file is too long.

How can I transfer a 18 minute video I recorded on my iPad camera app to email/youtube or vimeo? I keep getting the message the file is too long do want to send clips?
    Thanks

Youtube usually had an 8 minute length cap, which may be part of your issue. Also at 18 minutes that is probably a gig+ file size, which will also take a long time to upload and may be another part of the issue.
Edit it down as jim suggested. Or you may need to use something like dropbox, to get it off your ipad and onto a computer where might have more options to edit it down or size it down.
If it's just file size you can transcode it into a smaller file - a lower quality MP4 for example. If it's the length that's an issue for youtube, you'll need to break it up into a couple different files and upload part 1 and part 2
