Power button on my lumia 620 is quite stiff

So, what os happening isn't exactly a problem...
The thing is that the power button of my Lumia 620 is kinda stiff... It works, but I have to put some considerable pressure on it, and it's just the power button.
Is it normal?

Did something happen to your Lumia 620 prior to this issue? If removing and re-placing the back cover and the battery didn't work, we suggest visiting the Nokia Care Point to have the phone evaluated. This will help verify if the issue is hardware or software related. Just bring the proof of purchase for warranty reference. Note that the warranty doesn't cover physical and liquid damages. Lumia 620 power button

I passed my 620 on to another family member some months ago, I've just been informed that the power button has stopped working. They say that with the back cover removed the button does not 'click' like the others around it.
Any chance it could be an Operating System glitch that a phone reset (After backing up of course) might cure? Given the non clickyness reported above I fear its much more likely to be hardware related.
Any advice appreciated.

Before you consider resetting or bringing your phone to the nearest Care Point, you can try the workaround given on the below link for further isolation of the concern:
• Side keys do not work in my phone
In the event that the workaround did not help, you can check Care Point to know the nearest Care Points near you or book an online repair via this link: Send for repair.
Note: Any physical or liquid damage will invalidate the phone's warranty and sending the phone for repair deletes all the information saved on it. Back up your files to avoid data loss.

Safari will lock up on my MacBook Pro. Force quit doesn't help. When I try to restart the computer, I get an error saying Safari cancelled the restart. I have to press the power button to shut down the computer.

While I'm using safari, it will freeze up. When I force quit safari and reopen it, I find that I'm back to where I was when I did the force quit and safari remains locked up. Try Resetting Safari: Open Safari. Cick on the name Safari in the menu bar. In the drop down menu click Reset Safari.

Hi. Don't worry it's nothing serious. Insert the Instal Disc (Snow Leopard) and press the C button while turning on the computer. Once you see the desktop, go to Utility and choose Disk Utility. Select the Macintosh Partition on the left window pane and then click on Repair Disk and Repair Disk Permissions on the bottom right corner. Wait for both processes to finish. Click on the Apple icon (top left corner) and choose quit. Your computer should restart. See if it reboots normally. If not you can always reinstall the OS following the same steps. Good luck!

I'm having the same problem. I started an automatic upgrade that then got "stuck" for hours. I did a hard shut down and now all I get when I try to reboot is the spinning wheel. I haven't done a backup in 3 months and can't afford to lose everything in a reinstall. Any suggestions?

Volume Button Not Working on Lumia 620

Today my volume rocker switch on my Nokia Lumia 620 stopped working suddenly. It was dropped a couple times today as I was at a concert and people rushed past.
The volume switch feels spongy when pushed in and only adjusts the volume when pushed down painfully hard. But it happens with both my covers, so I'm maybe wondering if it's an internal hardware issue? When the cover is off, the two small buttons can be pushed down easily, it's just the rocker switch on the covers that don't work. Anyone know what is going on with it? Sent from my 620.

Hi, Mozilla. Just to clarify, you've tried 2 different back covers on your Lumia 620 and you still experience difficulty pressing your volume keys, right? Only the technicians can confirm if there was an impact on the internal hardware of the phone. It has been more than a year since i have been using my nokia lumia 610 but from few days i have been experiencing a problem with my phone . sometimes power button becomes too sensitive and it becomes like a touch button , Also , it turns off by itself And while starting , it reaches upto nokia logo and then vibrate and turns off.
now phone working fine, "this problem started when my phone fall down like 50 cm high to ground".

I've been trying to find a common denominator. It happens inconsistently. It never happened before the Denim update. When it does occur, the screen goes black immediately upon answering the call and doesn't come back until the call is ended by the calling party.
I thought it might be the proximity sensor, but when it's working normally I can see the screen go dark when it's at my ear and comes back when I take it away (tried it multiple times). I had Gestures Beta installed. I wondered if that could have an affect so I uninstalled it, but that didn't make any difference. I'm still stumped by the inconsistency. I haven't reset my phone as I didn't really want to go through that...

First of all,
I am **bleep** right now!
My phone (lumia 620) is only 6-7 months old and I am getting sick of it.
After a month the problems started. He crashed sometimes without a reason, the screen did weard things, etc
And now I had it. My lower volume button is broken. My sound is now standing on 10/30, I use this phone as alarm and thats pretty load. I also use it as a mp3 but I cang lower the volume. I already checked if there wasnt just some dust between the buttons by opening the case, but it didn't helped at all!
7 months!!
I see a lot of users have the same problem and the only thing you guys say to us is: "Go to the nearest nokia repair center."
Maybe something is going wrong in the production process?!
My phone only fell once 2 months ago, the only thing he had was some scratches on the case, but it worked fine until now. So dont say its my own fault.
I am really angry and I think I won't gonna buy another lumia.
A friend of my bought also a lumia and after 2 months his start button was jammed!

We're sorry to hear this. However, the best option to get the phone fixed is what you have mentioned in your post and that is to bring the phone to the Care Center for assessment.

Wow that is so unlucky. If I was you I would try talking to someone at the Apple Store, explain your situation and don't be shy to shed a tear or too. Its just a shame 3 weeks after your phone getting hardware problems. I know people will say, oh buy Apple Care but I feel ya and I know adding that extra money in the beginning feels pointless and expensive.
Worst case scenarion like I said you will have to pay Apple 269 for them to swap phones. Or if you have any nerd friends have them fix it for you. Its a tedious repair the way the power button has some weird hinge that needs to snap on and ribbons are so thin. I do not advise for you to attempt to fix your self unless you don't care if you break it completely.
Alternatively you could just turn on Assisitive touch on accessibility and use that. That way you wont need to pay anything to fix your phone and wont need to take it apart either.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
