Powerbook G4 17" keyboard part number
Hi there, I've got a Powerbook G4 17" that needs a new backlit keyboard. Mine works, but the light is very faint (and I've tried every keyboard adjustment out there) and I know it could be better. I was wondering if there's any difference between the 15" and 17" keyboards, so I want to make sure I'm buying the correct item.
My model number is: M9110LL/A and it's a 1.33 gHz 17" Powerbook G4.
I'm assuming the lights are in the actual keyboard itself and not the mother/logic board, correct?
Thanks for your input!
-Matt
P.S.- If this isn't the part I need, could you let me know which part number I need to be looking for?
Apple's part number for the keyboard is 922-5776.
It's available here, among other places.

What is the keyboard part number for Portege Z30-A-1E5?
Hello,
I want the Toshiba Portege Z30-A-1E5, but it is apparently only available to buy from German and Austrian vendors with the QWERTZ keyboard. I would like to buy one and swap over the keyboard to either AZERTY or QWERTY (UK).
However I spoke with a company that does this and they cannot confirm that they can get a part unless I can provide them with a keyboard part number (they also can't give me a quote without it), but this number does not seem to be easy to get a hold of without actually having the computer and taking the keyboard off and looking underneath! I feel a bit nervous spending so much money when there is a chance that I won't be able to swap the keyboard over.
So my question is, can anybody tell me what the keyboard part number is for the portege z30-a-1e5?
Any assistance would be much appreciated!!!!!
KateHi Kate
Im wondering why you want to purchase a Portege Z30-A-1E5 which isnt available in UK?
The notebooks are preinstalled with a Windows system in different languages. In case of Portege Z30-A-1E5 available in Germany, the system language would be German.
Also the keyboard supports different layout.
Portege Z30-A-1E5 was equipped with an i7 CPU, 512GB SSD drive and 16GB RAM.
Very similar notebook Portege Z30-A-1D6 was released in UK. Its preinstalled with Windows system in English language and English keyboard layout.
Of course the hardware specifications are a little bit lower (256GB SSD drive and 8GB RAM) but I think this could be upgraded much easier as to replace the keyboard.
However, in case you would purchase the Portege Z30-A-1E5, I recommend you to contact the Toshiba authorized service provider in your country for keyboard replacement. The guys could order the right keyboard from Toshiba and could perform the replacement.
Just one note: the replacement should be done by authorized service provider because of warranty validity. The replacement must be performed by authorized engineer to keep the warranty valid. -
I have an HP Envy Sleekbook, model B5Q41UA#ABA HP ENVY 6-1014nr NB PC US
I need to get a replacement keyboard for it. Does anyone know the part number for this keyboard?
It's a royal pain extracting the keyboard and I've already ordered one through ebay which was the wrong one. I've searched by model number and I can't find any hits. Often different models use the same parts, so if anyone knows another model that uses the same parts, that would be great. The keyboard part number would be the ideal solution though.
BTW, I spilled water on the keyboard so it's not covered under warranty. I also can't wait for the repair if I were to send it out for repair. I'm using a usb keyboard and mouse in the meantime.
Thanks.

What is the Correct T420 U.S. Keyboard FRU Number?
Hi,
Want to replace my T420 (U.S.) keyboard, and the online documentation lists three FRU's:
45N2071 (IBM parts doesn't know about it)
45N2141 (IBM parts has it, $60)
45N2211 (IBM parts has it, $72)
I'm a little bit lost. Questions:
a)Why does Lenovo list three distinct FRU numbers for a U.S. keyboard?
b)What is the difference between the latter two above, and why do they have different prices?
c)What is the "right" part number to get a replacement keyboard for my T420?
Thanks, Dave.Any will work. Lenovo uses 3 suppliers to provide keyboards. I tend to look for whatever one is cheapest. BTW, T410, T420, T510, T520 and some others all use the same keyboard

Go to Solution.Hi Martibuzz,
Welcome to Lenovo Community!
As per your query we understood that you are looking for Trackpad FRU for ThinkPad T540p.
The trackpad (Track Button) is not a serviceable part; hence if you want to replace the Trackpad you have to replace whole Keyboard unit, because trackpad will be integrated with the keyboard only.
And for further assistance on the part you can go Keyboard menu in ThinkPad T540p FRU manual.
Part number = 04Y2348 - FRU CS13KM-KBD US English Chicony- Primary, for the system which is shipped with US English keyboard.
And replacing the part you can view the steps from ThinkPad T540p HMM manual.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Hemanth Kumar

Qosmio G10-133 - need Keyboard Part No
I have a Qosmio G10-133 for about 5 months, but alas a small picture fell and damaged the keyboard. It broke one key luckily, and one that isn't used much!!! The |\ key. But it is still a pain. I could claim on my household insurance, but I wont.
I am trying to find the correct part number. How easy is it to install a replacement? I recently changed a hard drive for a friend in other notebook, and keyboard removal replacement seemed very easy. What is it like on the Tosh?
[Edited by: admin on 09-Oct-05 13:36]I just couldn't be sure as one website like www.laptopbits.co.uk says:
Toshiba Replacement Keyboard UK Specification
New Toshiba original spare part for the following range of laptops - UK keys part number P000349000, P000405490 or P000367420
Suitable for the following Toshiba Laptops
Qosmio E10, Qosmio F10, Qosmio G10
Satellite 1410 series & 2410 series
Satellite A40 and M30
Price each 55 + VAT
Usually ships: same day for next day delivery
P000367420
Price each
64.63
Qty required
So I wasn't sure, as I can get the part no P000367420 fairly a reasonable amount secondhand. But I am uncertain what the difference is between this one and the one you quote? Any ideas? Will this part no work on a g10?
Kind regards to all who are helping. -
How to verify apple original keyboard part?
I was told there is no label or part number on the replacement keyboard that I am ordering, just a serial number. So how do I tell that it is a GENUINE ORIGINAL APPLE PART and not a third-party, non-apple manufactured part that is of poorer quality?

When you create a new Apple ID or make certain changes to your account, Apple will require you to sign in by following the link in a verification email. This is to help protect your identity and keep your account secure. Some Apple services, such as FaceTime and GameCenter, require email validation.
How do I verify my Apple ID by email?
Simply follow the link in the verification email that says "Verify Now." Sign in with your current Apple ID and password, then click Verify Address. You can also verify by signing in at My Apple ID. You'll receive an email prompting you to verify.

How to find hardware part number
Is there a way to use software ("about this mac") or by looking on the case to see what the part number is for a Power Mac G5? I searched the Apple support site and these discussions and could find no information on locating the part number of a CPU.
This is needed because there are some issues of compatibility with an audio board and the refer to specific part numbers for different Mac CPUs. Of course, this problem comes about, because unlike most product makers, Apple doesn't label many of their products in a meaningful way - at least since the days of the Performa 650 or Mac IIsi when you could look at the case and know what model you had. Even the silly convention of referring to models as "bronze keyboard", "ATP graphics", "silver doors" or gigabit ethernet" was better than no indication at all.
So any help would be appreciated if you happen to know. Thanks.
G5 dual 1.8 .. probably "late 2004" Mac OS X (10.4.3)Don't know about the part no. of the CPU, but the 'M' no. should be on the original invoice.
The serial no. will give you the build date
"The first two characters indicate the city where it was manufactured, the third number is the 200x year, and the fourth and fifth numbers combine to indicate the week of the year.
So, g8443a19qpp would be made in city "g8", year of manufacture = 2004, week of the year 2004 = 43."
[from Macintouch]
Knowing the build date you can see the likely specs. here

hi

this part number to where ???

tnx applehowdy Niel

Moruya
Moruya
Australia
MYA
YMRY
Marsh Harbour International
Marsh Harbour
Bahamas
MHH
MYAM
*above = another test of pasting table rows from another site*
country codes for Malaysia (only M 'anything' remotely relevant)
two letter MY
three letter MYS <- 'S' is awful close to 'A' on a qwerty keyboard (see next)
Both? - MY(Malaysia) / A(airport-generic) ? <- 'A' is awful close to 'S' , as is '/' close to the ⇧ on a qwerty keyboard
It's a puzzle!

What is the correct part number for dvi to vga adapter for macbook pro model A1260
Can someone tell me the Apple part number for the DVI to VGA adapter that came with a Macbook Pro model A1260? (Early 2008)
My adapter has reached the end of useful life.
Thanks!You have a MacBook Pro 15" Early 2009 (MacBook Pro 4,1)
The Mac's port is a Dual-link DVI (VGA, Composite and S-video with adapter)
The DVI connector connects to the Dual link-DVI port, thus you need a DVI to VGA adapter.

You also can search the Apple store online for the part, but it's so basic and simple that paying more for Apple's version is just for looks. -
How to find part number on Motherboard?
Hi all - I've got a G4 MDD dual 1g mac that I fear has a bad motherboard. I have done some preliminary research into buying a replacement board, which leads me to my question (2-parter):
1. Can anyone tell me how to find the part number or identify the motherboard in this computer? (so I don't buy the wrong thing)
2. Other than eBay, can someone recommend a good source for finding a replacement board?
Any info would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance!G4ce,
The part number is at the end of PCI card slot 5. It will say "APPLE COMPUTER 820-nnnn 2002" (or 2003).
820-nnnn is the part number, it'll always be 820 in the first part, but the last 4 digits can be different depending on model and manufacture date. Typical values are 1308, 1440, 1445.
If you're planning to re-use your existing processors, the new board number should match exactly.
I say"If" because you may find a complete MDD or one sold without certain parts a lot easier than the exact model number board.
