PPCI and PM01
Hi gurus-
My understanding about the TC's PPCI and PM01 is as follows:
PPCI- Transaction code for creating custom infotypes in OM.
PM01- Transaction code for creating custom infotypes in PA.
Is that correct or am I missing something??
Thanks.
Ramesh.
Hi Ananath you care missing something... you can't create directly OM infotypes through PPCI, before you have to create the table structre in SE11, then only it is possible to create OM Inofyptes through PPCI.
Thanks

Enhancement Adding a new field to a infotype
We are implementing E-Recruiting and trying to a new field to a existing infotype 5107. On the E-Recruiting page there are three frield that already exist. Country, State and City these field also in infotype 5107 too. Country and State both are dropdown box. I have to set the default value for Country to 'USA' and State to 'AZ' where can i set this? The new field will display location "county" which the user will be able to select multiple locations. I know i would have to go PM01 to add the new field to the infotype 5107. But i'm missing the third that will allow me to do this. There's IT, IT Version, IT (i don't have this on my SAP Gui). I'm not sure what to do next after I created this new field. how can put this new field this the E-recruiting webpage?
Matthew,
You can enhance your infotype 5107 from tcode 'PPCI' not 'PM01'.

Add IT0006 custom fields for segment definition E1P0006 basic type HRMD_A06
Hello! I am am trying to determine how to bring in our custom fields from IT0006 into our IDOC's for message type HRMD_A basic type HRMD_A06 without performing a custom SAP modification. I was able to create a new segement definition called Z1P0006 and replace the SAP standard E1P0006 IDOC segment defintion in table T777D for infotyp 0006 to Z1P0006. However, I receive a message that I must not maintain this IDOC segment manually and instead you must maintain infotypes and their individual elements by using the transactions for processing infotypes: PPCI or PM01 (Infotype copy transaction for personnel administration).
Does anyone know of a way to bring in the new custom infotype fields from i.e. reimport the table structure for IT0006 into the segment definition without a custom SAP modificaiton? I would really appreciate any help on this topic!
Thanks!
Hollyunfortunately, the standard do not provide the infotypes for the HR-TM (Time Management), that
are between the structures i must send in the other system sap.
Ok, I have never delt with Time data in HRMD_A. Probably this is the case then
Ok,now i've checked the filter in BD64 and the tables BDCP2, CDHDR and CDPOS but it seems
all correct!!
By checking Filters I mean that confirm if you have added Time Infotypes there (just
making sure). If data is appearing in BDCP2 that means there is no problem in Change
pointer creation, Just ruling out possibility.
Try with an user exit it's a good idea, but why in the PFAL the idoc (with the custom segments)
is created without problems and in the BD21 no??? This is very strange
1) Well BD21 uses the Function module (TBDME for HRMD_A) which read change pointers and
create IDOCs. So now if you have extended Segment you have to add your population code
here somewhere.
2) PFAL is Push program, my assimption here is you have wriiten some piece of code to
populate Additinal segments data here? Otherwise IDOC will not be populated
automatically.
Let me know what you think. -
Hello
I've tried to create a new infotype, 9026.
The first time, I accidently created it as a PA infotype instead of HRP. When I tried to delete it, using PM01, some of the items created have stayed on the system, under TADIR entries:
TABL HRI9026
TABL P9026
PROG MP902600
PROG MP902620
Though when I try to access them using SE38 or SE11 they don't exist.
Then, I've tried to create it as 9126, in PPCJ.
After it's been customized, I tried to delete it as well, from PPCI, and again it left TADIR entries, all the entries it searched for.
How can I delete these infotypes completly?
thanksHi Udi,
Check the tables where the entries are left
T582A, T582S, T777A, T77ID, T777D, T582C.
Reply what are the entries ?

For OM infotypes it is PPCI and PD infotypes it will be PM01.
Just find this in the ERP HCM where you can find the links .

From the list of Infotypes locate the custom infotype created and select the entry for that.
Click on the 'Time Constraint' folder appearing on the left hand corner of the screen.
The screen for Change View Time Constraint would appear.
In the object type field put in: O,P,S whatever is relevant to your requirement. Also add the time constraint.

Custom infotype replacement for dialog modules
Hi,
I have been asked to recreate a custom OM infotype (created with PPCI and based on the Planned Compensation infotype) to the new SAP EHP4 environment. Part of the infotype is a custom dialog maintenace module that allows the infotype to be viewed and maintain with the PP01 transaction (planned compensation is linked to a job).
When I recreate the code in the new environment (I cannot use a transport), I am unable to recreate the dialog module because the system says "dialog modules are obsolete and no longer supported." Can you tell me what is the new way to create the new maintenance screen and have it work with PP01. Also, it seems that if I try to change the configuration table T777D (using SM30) with something other than a dialog module name, it doesn't accept it, so where does the new maintenance screen go in that table?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Christian Durini.Hi,
whereever we create a custom OM infotype using PPCI transaction, the system will go to next level as with titles as
- Module Pool Program
- Screens
- Tables and etc...
so as per the structure of Module Pool Program, first of all we have to create Program (Double click on each Program after that the cursor will to next screen.here we have to click on create button). After that go to SE51 and enter the program and screen number, click on change button.
Normally whenever we create info type the system will maintain with screens as 1000, 2000, 3000
follow above procedure for 3 screens.
