PR Old Release Strategy - triggering NEW Release strategy any change OLD PR

Dear Gurus,
We have implement item level PR release strategy,
characteristic used: 1. Document type, 2. PR item Value, 3. Material Group, 4. Change date & 5. Account Assignment Category.
BEfore the above implementation, there is a OLD PR release Strategy existing in the system at one level release.
Now the issue, the OLD release Strategy status is release completed, now the user goes and change the PURCHASING GROUP in old PR, new release gets triggered. How to Stop this, system should not trigger NEW STRATEGY,

HI,
If i use date created as a characteristic, then Old release strategy get reset and the no release strategy will be trigger henceforth, the status of the PR will be INACTIVE.
ANy charateristic we use, there will be only 2 options for old released PRs, 1) It will reset the strategy to new one or 2) the old strategy will be reset and make the PR status as INACTIVE.
Is this is standard behaviour? pleae advice

i-devices are intended to by synced with iTunes (iTunes --> device), not transfer things to iTunes. For transferring songs from i-device to computer see commercial software utilities (with the exception of iTunes purchases). Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing):

Release Strategy to be reset for any change in purchase order

Hi Experts,
At present the release strategy configured is for any change in the value of the purchase order, the release strategy is reset. Now the the client wants that for even any text change of a word, text, quantity, value, addition, deletion the release strategy should be reset.
Can any one guide to configure the release strategy for any change. Also please provide the list of standard parameters/scenario (E.g. change of price, change of quantity etc) for which the release strategy can be configured to be reset.

I too have the same problem. I tried with Changeable indicator "1". The system does not allow to make any change to the Purchase Order even after the first level of Release. But the requirement is that the system should Reset the Release Strategy for even minor Change in the PO.

We have a release strategy for PO.
Our requirment is 'if we do any changes in the released PO (may it be the text or any thing)' the released PO should go for re-release.
How it can be done?

Hello Rajan,
If you want to have control based on change in any value release st. should re trigger you will have to go for some enhancement, but for any Value change release st will re trigger if you use the changeability (which determines how a Purchase document react to change in value) as 4 set under release indicators set in the release strategy design. this will solve your problem.
Also release strategy is determined based upon the Characteristic Values maintained under classification data for release strategy.
So in this case if you want to have a design like new rel st should trigger for any changes done to PR/PO then you should ask for some enhancement, but other way control, based upon change in value can be done by solution mentioned above.

My CS products don't work after migrating them from an old mac to a new mac. Any ideas?

Help! I bought a new imac, and used the migration process to move everything from the old mac to the new mac. But now none of my CS products (eg Indesign) will work. I use CS5.5 and CS6. The CS6 says I can run "a trial version" - which is absurd, given that I have a legitimately bought version on disk (that cost over £1000!). The CS5.5. icon just bounces for a couple of times then closes before fully opening.
Adobe will not help, because they say CS6 is "an old product".
I am desperate - does anyone have any ideas?

Migration does not work with Adobe products. There are too many components in too many places, and they don't get copied properly.
You'll need to use the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove what you copied:

I replaced my old router with a new one, then tried the old one again, now the old one doesn't work.

I've had my old router (i'll call it router 1) for about two years now. I felt like changing it, so I got router 2. When I took the cables from router 1 and put it into router 2, the new router worked instantly. But when I tried switching routers again (I was curious), the router 1 no longer worked. Why is that?
When I plug router 2 back in it works fine but now if I try to use router 1 it doesn't work...

sort of. I had router two on for a couple hours then I turned it off and plugged in router 1. DIdn't work so I switched back to router 2 and then router 2 worked instantly

i have an old ipod 80GB which has a large amount of my music from an old laptop on it. i've just bought myself a macbook pro and want to put all of that music onto the new computer but i havent got the old laptop to change any settings on the ipod before i start transferring data. is there a way of doing this?

New user on an old ipod, creating a new itunes account without deleting old

I inherited my daughter's old ipod. I want to set up a new account and purchased new music but not delete her library. Whenever I turn on the computer it takes me directly to her account and asks if I want to delete the music on her account. We use AOL. help

When you connect are you getting a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No*. Pressing "Yes" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it.
You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. Then go to Preferences>iPod and check the "Manually manage songs and playlists" box: Managing Your Songs Manually

Pr& po -new release strategy?

Hi Friends,
My requirement is to add new release strategy for pr & po.
Characteristics & Class are remain unchanged.
Pl advise to how to proceed, i mean
i have to set/create new release procedure, ie.,
New release groups
New release codes (bcos new codes are added & release levels remained same)
New release strategies
How i can retain the Old PRs & POs released with earlier release strategy/release codes?
PRs & POs not released can be with new release strategy, but i have to ensure the old prs & pos (released) were with earlier release strategy & release code.
Also, I need ur advise, how the new release strategy works for workflow

Hi,
First of all, if you would only like to create the new release strategies, then the only possible settings you should do are -
1)   Create the new release code;
2)   Create the new release strategy;
3)   Assign the release characteristics values to your new release strategy in CL20N transaction.
For those old PRs and POs (regardless of if they were released or pending for release), the same old release strategy remains unchanged (and therefore, you should be much careful if you wish to delete the outstanding release codes and/or release strategies through configuration). Having said that if you would like to keep the same release strategy though changes are to be made to your old purchasing documents, then you will have to assign the proper value to the "Changeability" field of your "released" release indicator.
In case of release strategy in support by workflow, basically, the workflow item will be triggered (in accordance with the pre-defined logics that you built in terms of task ID). As soon as the approver determination is made in background, the workflow item will be then sent to such agent who will then take a proper decision (approve, reject or forward).

Release strategy retrigger for all non significant changes

My client has the below requirement:
The Purchase requsitions and Purchase orders are released by different approval authorities. Any change made to any field like material short text, cost centre, payment terms, material long text, etc. the sytem has to cancel all the previous releases and release strategy need to be retriggred from the beginning.
I request all to provide me with an user exit or badi if any available in the system to achieve this.

Release not triggered in PO

Hi,
I have used the class PO_release.This class is having the characters as doc type,pur org,net value,pur grp.
I assigned this class to the release group.One strategy defined based on this group.
In CL20N i have maitained the values for the characters.
When i trigger the PO release is not working.Please be informed that PO createdbased on the values maitained in the CL20 N transaction.
Kindly let me know why release not triggered.If i miss any settings let me know.

I would say try this -
Remove all characteristics from class.
Then maintain only 1 characteristic in class and maintain characteristic value and match the value with the PO.
Try doing some dummy changes in PO and check whether system triggers release strategy.
If it is maintain values for other characteristics one by one and check the release.
Hope it works.
Thats how I manage such cases.

When is scheduled the new release of iPS and what will be the new features.

There are two kinds of releases, one is new releases which are new versions and other is service packs.
The next service pack is sp4 which is to be released shortly. The next version release is later than june.

My old computer crashed. I was able to connect its old hard drive as an external drive to my new computer. I would like to recover all my old bookmarks (there was no prior backup on the old drive).

Is there a file in which bookmarks are stored which I may copy from the old drive to the new one to restore the old bookmarks? Thanks!
(I still have the original Firefox files on the old hard drive, including the one I presume contains all my old bookmarks.)
