Pre keeps asking me to enter my Yahoo password

It's day three of this issue. Looking around the forum, it looks like a lot of us are having issues with email, but I still want to ask if there is a solution for my Pre asking me for my Yahoo password every hour or even more. It's draining my battery! Not to mention a pain in the ass.
I plan to hit the local Sprint store, but want to ask everyone here for help too!

This just started happening to me last week.
Any ideas on why? I'm not aware of any new webOS updates and haven't changed my account at all as near as I can figure.
If I click on the message and either re-enter or just click Sign In leaving the stored password it works fine.
So it seems like this is just an annoying error message that doesn't actually stop email/contacts/calendar from working with Yahoo.
I find these services to be invaluable. With 3 busy kids all with shared but very active yahoo calendars I can actually keep track of who is supposed to be where when.

In the iCloud pane of System Preferences, uncheck the box marked Mail and check it again.

My iPhone keeps asking me to enter my iCloud password, Why?

Almost every time I enter the mail app, and randomly throughout the day, my iPhone keeps popping this box up asking for me to enter my iCloud password. I enter it and it goes away. I know the password I'm entering is correct, but, my question is - why is this happening? I've had every iPhone ever made and just recently bought the 6 Plus and this is the first time ever I've encountered the issue. Any help on getting this annoying popup to stop is greatly appreciated. Try signing out of the acount comletely and then signing back in again. If it doesn't help and you have more devices, sign out everywhere and try again.

icloud mail keeps asking me to enter my password over and over...very frustrating.

Here is the fix:
1. Shut down Mail. Next, deselect "iCloud Mail" in the iCloud preferences pane in System Preferences FIRST. If not, it will automatically pre-populate the wrong p9X.mail.me.com server names again overwriting all your work.
2. Now restart Mail and go to preferences. If "iCloud" mail is still showing, select it and click on the "-" at the bottom to remove it.
3. Now follow the instructions here: http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/icloudmail.html (disregard that this is for Snow Leopard, it DOES work on Lion) paying attention to the use of the "option" key when needed to avoid Mail automatically "creating" the account and closing out the preferences window.
4. Ensure the correct server names of "imap.mail.me.com and smtp.mail.me.com" are still there and close Mail preferences and now select "get mail". It may prompt one last time for your iCloud password, enter it and you are done.

I should have also said that the only reason this is causing me an issue is because I have bought a new phone and I want to sell this one. I have a iPhone 6 and every time I click on messages a pop-up will appear saying I need to enter a phone number to be able to message. It has two options "cancel" or "settings" so I select "settings" and it takes me to my message settings and my phone number is entered there so I will re enter it and click "save" and when I go back to messages it will pop up again. Any idea how to fix It? I've done all the updates and I have restarted my phone twice.

I think I figured it out. Did everyone, by any chance, have their device previously jailbroken? Then when they backed up their apps with iCloud, iCloud saved them? Then when trying to restore to a previous backup after upgrading to IOS6 all the apps showed up but just say waiting underneath? Well the reason it keeps asking for the apple id and password is because of those apps. As I noticed, the apps that are like that, when I tap on them the same window shows up asking for my info. All I did was erase the apps that were 'waiting' that were previously downloaded from when my iPad was jailbroken and I haven't gotten the little pop up since, its associated with the apps, I noticed that, but not exactly what its reasoning behind it is, probably because it is asking for your ID in order to download it, but when it can't connect, because of it being a pirated app, the device gets confused and when isn't able to download the first time, it will try again and continuously ask for your ID in order to confirm its download.

I've been having the same problem for days and just solved it. Tried going to Apple ID and had all the same problems you did in the second paragraph. I signed out with my current username on the ipad under settings--->store and signed back in with my oldest apple id and password. Now the apps don't ask for a password to upgrade. I too had a username that wasn't an email address and had to change to one that was at some point. That's what caused the problems. Hope this can work for you.

I am having a problem where my imac keeps asking me for a "login keychain" password. I type in my password every time, but that doesn't fix my problem. I need to know if this is bad or not, and how i can turn it off.

It sounds like you are being prompted over and over for your Login Keychain, and entering it does not seem to make the prompts stop. I would start by running First Aid on the Keychain with this article:

To check keychains for problems using Keychain First Aid:
Open Keychain Access, located in the Utilites folder in the Applications folder.
Choose Keychain Access > Keychain First Aid.
Enter your user name and password.
Select Verify and click Start. Any problems found will be displayed.
If there are problems, select Repair, and then click Start.
If that does not resolve the issue, I would next reset your Keychain:
In Keychain Access, choose Preferences from the Keychain Access menu.
If available, click the Reset My Default Keychain button. This will remove the login keychain and create a new one with the password provided.
If Reset My Default Keychain is not available, choose Keychain List from the Edit menu.
Delete the "login" keychain.
The next time you log in to the account, you can save your current password in a keychain.

If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:

My iPad2 keeps asking me to enter my password after updating to iOS5.1

I can't find the answer to this after lots of searching and it's driving me crazy!
My iPad2 keeps reverting back to the Lock screen and asks me to enter my password. This happens whilst in the middle of using apps, especially ones that involve video. This only started this week when it was updated to iOS5.1. When I sign back in, it is just on my Home screen and the app has shut down. When I go back into the app it isn't at the point that it forced me to leave it.
It is not technically my iPad and as a result I've got to have certain settings on it - I've got to have a password of at least 8 characters and I'm not allowed to reset the whole thing. I can't turn those settings off.
I have tried a restart by pressing the lock and home buttons at the same time, but that hasn't worked.
Is it possible to just go back to using iOS5? Or is there another way of fixing it?
Any advice would be appreciated!

I don't know of a way to lock out of Settings. However, go to Settings > General > Restrictions. Although you cannot restrict settings, there are some other things that you can restrict, like app purchases, etc. Basically, what this will do is require a 4-digit passcode SEPARATE from the one used to unlock the iPad. No one can use features that you have chosen to restrict without knowing the password.

I've just purchased an iPad and I'm trying to buy apps from the app store but I keep getting asked to enter my Apple ID password.
I enter it, then it loads for a second, then asks again. Please note I am not entering an incorrect password.
I can download free apps like dropbox, but for some reason I cannot get past this Apple ID request. I even changed my password, no help.

I am having a similar issue. I managed to be able to subscribe to a few magazines, but when I try to view my Apple ID via the iPad or iTunes, it seems to get stuck in a loop and repeatedly asks for my password which is correct. I end up cancelling out of it and get nowhere. I have reset my password and tried different devices with no luck. All I’m trying to do is turn off ‘auto-renewing’ for my magazine subscriptions.
