Pre-Printed Form, But Movable

First the preliminaries:
My setup and tools -
- Windows Platform
- Acrobat XI
- LiveCycle Designer ES4
- InDesign CS6
We have a 1 page, preprinted form that we need to overlay with formfield data.
I took a spec PDF of the form and adjusted in within InDesign. I saved the PDF, and opened in within LiveCycle Designer. I created all of the form fields that were needed for the form, and saved the PDF as static.
I use vb and a jso to first open a new copy of the PDF and then fill each field. Then I open the filled PDF and I print the form fields only.
THE PROBLEM
Different printers print the form fields in different locations. I always choose "Actual Size", but when our different offices print to the different printers, there are slight variations in the x and y placement of the fields (left to right and up and down).
I envision a pair of fields (one for x and one for y) that do not print, but contain a number that specifies a correction factor, and causes the fields to move together. How can I effect a solution the most closely matches what I am looking for?

True. But I'm looking for a solution going forward. A way in which I can create forms in the future that accomplish what I need.
I could even recreate the form I already have in Acrobat XI if that would get me the adaptability I need.

Printing from APEX onto pre printed forms - not PDF

What is the best solution within APEX for printing. I am looking to print out data within an interactive report record onto a piece of pre printed stationary. So fields from the database will need to be positioned on certain positions on the print out
How can this be achieved? I have seen examples generating a PDF but I do not want a PDF to be generated or stored when the page has been printed.

Or Oracle Reports as a cheaper option, if your infrastructure is suitable.
Done that for pre-printed forms before - pixel perfect, just not for APEX. But it's easy to call Oracle Reports from APEX.

How do I create a form field ONLY template in Acrobat 9 Pro that will let the user enter and print only the form field data on a pre-printed form?

This template will be used to type in information that will then be printed on an agency's official, barcoded form loaded in a printer (instead of blank paper.) Only the user-entered info should print on the pre-printed form. Users will use Adobe Reader to complete their templates; they do not have Acrobat. Thank you!

Use the template as non-printable background and add the form fields.

Pre-printed forms on IBM 5577 dot printer

I was wondering if there is any SAP tool in order to use pre-printed forms (with specific layout) on IBM 5577 dot printer which would allow to speciy a pre-defined layout.
Or do I have to define for each field the position on the pre-printed form thanks to SAPscript editor?

There is no such tool to identify the problem .In scripts and smartforms we have to define the layout pertaining to printer and its configuration settings.once the layout is defined and the printer is defined during the printing the printing begins automatically.in ur case u r talking about pre printed forms like application forms like cases, for this we have to know the length of the form initially and take care to identify the length of the field and also position.Hope u understand this.

Printing in a Pre-printed Form

You would have to give the end user a configuration screen where you set the coordinates and sizes of the data fields you wish to print on.
Commonly, there is a test screen where you can do an alighnment test to make sure all the fields are lined up and maxed out.
Then during real use, you print real data. Simple.

Pre printed forms

I am printing W2's on a pre printed form and some of the fields are randomly moving up and down. Some forms print perfect others are all over the place. Anyone have a suggestion.

Please check if you have the form online from the state/agency providing this form. If it is online you could try to open this form with Adobe Reader and print it.
If you have a hardcopy pre-printed form, then you will need to scan it to your PC/system and then open the scanned form with Adobe Reader and print it.

Printing on a pre printed stationery

Hi,
I am trying to print data on a pre printed stationery. On one physical page two copies (1+1) of report is printed horizontally side by side. On each logical page there is repeating frame that displays 4 rows of data across the page.Now as soon as the number of records become > 4, the 5 th record instead of moving to next physical page, overlaps and sets on the logical page on the same physical. what could be done such that the 5 th record and onwards prints on the next physical page alongwith the copy of the 5 th record also displayed on the next logical page.

Not sure if I fully understand your description, you might like to give an example of what data you have and what you want on each page.
However, for pre-printed forms, you typically use a fixed size frame to define the area that a repeating frame can print into. Alternatively you can use the "max records per page" property if you can guarantee that each record will only take up a specific amount of sapce.
Where physical vs. logical pages are concerned. You can only have multiple physical pages making up a single logical page. In your case, you seem to want to have multiple logical pages for each physical page. Since Reports will insert page breaks after each logical page, it will be difficult to do this.
If you need to get two sets of records onto a single physical page use an "across->down" repeating frame for a single repeating frame that encompasses one half of your physical (and logical) page.

SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport when activ adobe Print Form

Hi
I am trying to activate an Adobe Print Form, but I am getting the error "SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport: HTTP send failed with exception communication_failure(100.101)".
I have searched the forum and can see several thread stating that this is a ADS Configuration/Basis error, but when we try to execute the test report it works just fine, so I am guessing the ADS is working quite fine, or ?
Any help / hints to fix this error will be very appreciated

A year back I have experienced the same behaviour of my forms which were very large (30 pages at design time). After some time (number of changes I guess) they stopped working. I had to start all over from the last backup (that was few days ago once, what is a lot of work lost).
Why I would now do is:
1) copy your form and try to activate the copy
2) create a new form with the same interface, create some dummy layout with one field and try to activate
3) do you have any older version of this form? Or you´ve created it just now and this is the first activation? if you have an older one, try that one

I have the 6500A without plus and it is with a LAN cable connected with my Router.
First make sure you have the latest printer firmware installed.
Next restart the printer and the Router.
I had the same. Problem but it went away after rebooting the Router.

I have a problem in this that i want to paas a form in a case that when user pres n then it must go to a form but error arises and not working good and threading is not responding

Could you post the error information? And which line caused this error？
If you want to show Form1, you can use form.show() method

No printing :I can't print anymore, printing the same file with another program is ok, printing form LR (in the same system and printer of course :-) ): Preparing and Printing indicatorbar in the left hand upper corner are running and completing, but no output at all to my printer. I have been printing before. Next I upgraded to LR5.7.1 but the problem stays. Perhaps some adjustment is changed by me unintentionally, but I have no idea. Does anybody know what to check? Printing to file is also strange,the canvas only seems to accept A4, and crops any image relative to that size, so a 10x15 cm print on 10 x 15 cm paper is cropped to 10x15/2. Anybody any idea? (system win 8.1 64, printer HP B8550)

I accidentally solved my mystery. For some reason it was set to "print to file". I changed it to "printer" and now I am able to print.

I am using a Dell PC with Windows 7 Professional as the Operating System.

File > Page Setup = Scale
The Scale control is what controls the size of what is printed to paper. 100% is usually the best setting.

Created a great form but cannot print front to back

I checked the permissions but cannot figure out why the form will not print from to back. I would have attached the form, but don't see how on this screen.
