Preloader does not show up until 90% loaded
Hi,
I'm creating a tutorial with voice over and the voice over is an mp3 file and I've checked the 'Export in First Frame' option... and every thing works perfect... on my local machine...
Where as when I access the files on the web.. my preloader does not show up until 90% loaded... and thats because of 'Export in First Frame'
Can any one help / guide me ... any simple alternate method for this.. .. so that .. Preloader shows up and also the voice over works...

Report does not show Title at first load (CR 11.5 SP3)
Hello
I load an RPT from the file system, and then load data using an ADO disconnected recordset. At the end, the Report object is asigned to a CR Viewer. When the report appears, the Title is not shown. One has to press the "Refresh" button on the viewer so that the Title appears. By the way, the Title is assigned by code.
Any ideas?

I see the logic in adding the extra table and keeping it unlinked and I do know the crazy data that can come up if I use it linked to other tables or use the fields in other parts of the programming.
However, I've now tried it several times, creating the parameter on just the name alone, with the ID alone, etc. and I still only get a text box to type into.
I have made sure the original selection criteria
{customer.Id} = {?Customer}
if from the original table, not the new one, which I assume you expected me to do.
So I decided to run the same report through CR XIR2. When I update the Set Datasource Location, I am now getting the message
"Invalid Argument provided.
Details: The alias requested 'company', contains a combination of characters which is not considered to be valid"
Company is a table containing information about the main company, not the customers. The same message pops up for another table as well.
Then I get a message that says:
"Prompting failed with the following error message: 'List of Values failure: fail to get values. [Cause of error: The table company does not exist in the document.]'
Error source: prompt.dll Error code: 0x8004380D"
This appears to be a database access issue but I know the firewalls are not a problem because I can create a new report and get the LOV properly with the same database and same desktop computer. I can take that report created in CR2011 and use it in CRXI also and get the proper LOV. Is it possible I am dealing with template corruption because there were so many items imported into the static list before? -
when I take a picture with my iphone, the date is not downloaded to my picute. Is there a way to get the date put on my pictures.

Firefox does not show url in navigation toolbar while loading webpage (in new tab)
Firefox 3.6 when opening a link in new tab the url does not show in navigation toolbar while loading the web page. All ypu see is "Type a Web Adress" until the page load.
Before with my older version the URL was visible in navigation toolbar even before page started loading. How can I get this back?A couple of possible causes. First check for an incompatible add-on, for details of how to do that see the [[troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.

Using firefox 14.0.1. Loading a link using right-click and "Open Link In New Window", results in new window opening but address bar does not show URL. However, if I right click on a link and select "Open Link In New Tab", the Tab shows URL in address bar. So it's working when it's a New Tab but not a New Window.

IPod Nano directory does not show loaded tracks
I have a 7th Gen iPod Nano that was formatted by iTunes for Windows 7 that does not show the tracks loaded on it once it is ejected. Apple has replaced the Nano twice with no change. Working with AppleCare Support I have removed iTunes and everything else from Apple several times in accordance with the "Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8" Knowledge Base article. We tried various cables and different USB ports but they made no difference. In between each removal I have run CCleaner's registry search and cleanup tool and restarted the computer. Windows 7 is and has been up to date and the version of iTunes has always been the latest. iTunes will recognize the Nano and I can load playlists on it but once I eject it and select the music icon it says that there is no music loaded. When I check to see if the iPod knows that there is anything loaded it shows that there is something loaded by virtue of the fact that it shows the same amount of free space as iTunes did just before it was ejected. I have spent a couple of weeks chasing this problem with the AppleCare Support Team in Cupertino and we are all stumped.
I do not have any problems when I connect my iPod Classic to the same computer and load tracks on it.
All of the Nano's that have experienced this problem have worked fine when restored on my Mac.
The original Nano worked fine with this Windows 7 computer for about 9 months and then started saying that it needed to be restored every time it was connected even if it had just been restored. That problem brought about the first replacement of the Nano. After all of our efforts the AppleCare Support Team suggested that we replace the Nano again so that is what we did this week with no resolution of the problem.
Does anyone know of any Windows software that is known to create problems with iTunes?
I had not connected a Nano to the computer for about 2 months before I started having problems so I have no way of determining what might have been installed that caused this problem. This is a company computer and all software installations and updates are controlled by our IT Dept. iTunes is supported by the company due to the fact that our IT Dept. personnel and senior management have company iPhones and some iPads. We did connect the Nano to one of the IT computers and it was recognized and iTunes was able to see the tracks loaded but there was nothing available once it was ejected.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

My relatively new ipod touch 16 gb either does not show up as a drive or everytime says it does not recognize my ipod when connected to add music. I didn't have problems loading music originally, but this is a new occurrence. Could you help?
Hey, Thanks a lot. It took quite a bit of time to resurrect this ipod. I tried the upgrade again, but still would not recognize my ipod. So I went to the next step and reset my ipod, wiping of all of the information like it was new. This helped my laptop see the ipod on itunes, but did not sync. So, I deleted the itunes off my computer completely, restarted and then reinstalled the newest itunes, and then restarted. Finally, it recognized my ipod and started to download each song. It took awhile as there was 602 songs, but finally it works. Yea!!! I never had any problem with my old nano, but this touch has been another animal for sure. Thank you again and also the community for information. This was a helpful forum and will recommend to others if they get stuck with their ipod or iphone. Take care, Karen

Bex report does not show loaded data at once
Hi experts,
Why Bex report does not show loaded data at once after loading is finished but after some time?
Could be the reason of it:
a) huge amount of data in infocube.
b) there are no deleting/creating indexes before/after loading, because it takes too much time
c) anothe reason?

A and B both can be the reasons behind, but normally in case of B option the results on report output can be wrong like duplicates sort of showing you double figures.
C - it can be resource issue, so please look into all and double check with basis if thats the case.

I have a macbookpro. I use Aperture and Iphoto. When I connect any camera to the Mac it does not open it as a device in Iphoto, Aperture or in Finder. It use to work but just stopped. Any sugestions?
Here is the full story. It may be long so please bear with me. I take a lot of pictures and movies. Since I have over 30,000 pictures I decided to place the Iphoto library on an external drive to save space on my internal drive since ot was getting very full. After I did that it worked fine for a while. Then one day I could not open the Iphoto library. Since I was overseas at the time I brought it to the IStudio ( not an Istore) overseas. They said to rebuild the library and they would do that for me. It took all day since I had so many pictures. When they called me and told me it was ready, I went to pick it up. They started to show me the new library. It crashed again. Not knowing how to fix this at the ISudio, they installed Aperture and imported the Iphoto library. This worked fine for a short time.When back in the states, it crashed again just like Iphoto. I took it to the IStore. They did not know why the overseas Istudio did what they did what they did and rebuilt my aperture library. Again it worked fine. Now that I am overseas again. It crashed again. However, I concluded that the reason for these crashes is becuase I have the file on an external drive that derives its power from the Mac and not by itself. When I use it and stop for a while the MAC will go to sleep and this cuases the external drive to shut down. This then causes the library to have inconsistancies. Therefore, when it happened this time I tried to repair the library and after 36 hours it would close down Aperture. Therefore I decided to rebuild the library. That did not work either. So I tried opening the Aperture library with Iphoto. That seemed like it was going to work but after importing half of the 30,000 plus pictures. I photo shut down. I then made a new aperture libary and erged the old library with it. This worked. I now have an aperture library that works. However, when I plug my camera into the MAC nothing happens. The camera does not show up in devices in either Aperture, I photo nor in Finder. The USB port and cord I use works fine becuase I can read my external hard drives fine. I checked as SIG suggested in this thread and everything is set to open aperture when the camera is connected.
I have the newest OS version 10. 7. 2 and the computer frequently updates all my programs. I have not installed any ne software lately. The problem happens both if I am on battery or plugged in. Just before I came overseas the IStore replaced the Battery. I can go back to the IStudio here overseas but the last time I was there and told them about the problem ( I did not have my computer with me) they did not impress me with their wisdom. I will be back in that city in a month and can go there if need be. Thanks for all the help so far. God bless. -
Af:table is not showing records until doing refresh of the view object iter
Hi Experts,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 and i have a page whhich shows records of a particular read only view object as an af:table. When i run the page at first it is not showing any data at all . But there are 2 records when i run the query of that read only view object.In my page there is a link called "Refresh" which calls the "Execute" operation of the view iterator of my view object. When i click this link the table shows two records.Why the table does not show records once wehn the page is rendered?

Muse 7.0 plus Chrome: browser does not show images full browser width
Hi there,
I have a serious problem with the latest Muse version: the images which I use as parallax-masks for the background won't work with Chrome, though Safari and Firefox are not showing any problems. The issue: Chrome does either not scale the images to 100% browser-width or does not show them at all, or even shows the images cut into narrow stripes. This problem did not show in the previous version of Muse.
Of course I already restarted application and computer. System: Mac OSX Mavericks.
What to do now? The presentation with the client is very soon and this bug makes me very nervous.

bartlThe problem bartl encountered and reported was fixed by the 7.1 release (November 21st). The problem you're describing sounds different.
As of yet, I'm unable to reproduce what you're describing. The URL you've provided views the same in all the browsers I've tried, Chrome (32.0.1700.77) and non-Chrome, Mac and Windows.
That said, looking at your master page I don't think you've created what you intended. At present there are two full screen slideshows on your A-master. On contains no images and the other contains a single image. Both are set to have thumbnails and the thumbnails container is off the right side of the page.
If you look at your "Master Slideshow" layer in the Layers panel, you'll see the two slideshows. I think you'll want to delete one of them and, given your design, turn off thumbnails for the remaining one.
Also, if you don't plan to have multiple images in the full screen slideshow, you'd be better off using a background fill image rather than the slideshow widget.
I remain a bit puzzled how/why you're seeing different behavior in your instance of Chrome. Have you cleared your browser cache?
On an unrelated note, if you set the page fill and stroke to none and set the browser fill to the most common color from the garage door image, it will avoid the momentary appearance of a white page on a grey background when your home page first loads. Instead the site visitor would see a blank page that's the most common color from the slideshow image, until that image loads. -
I have installed a new drive on my mac book and more ram but the snow leopard install asks which to install the system on but then does not show the drive.
do I have to partition it and name it first. -- if so just one partition?Do this:

1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
When formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Complete the OS X installation. -
Does not show my hard drive when i try to install Tiger...
I have a Powerbook G4 that has no operating system installed yet, so when i try to install Tiger, i have to put the DVD in while booting up. I went to the installing screen, and i agreed to everything and all, but when i got to the part where it asks where to install, my hard drive does not show up. I went to DISK UTILITY and chose to erase the entire hard drive (I dont have anything on it yet) and I also chose to repair it. It didnt have any needed repairs, so I went back to the install screen, and it still didnt show the hard drive as an option. It is a 55.9 GB hard drive, and when i erase it, the size does not change, so I know there is nothing on it yet. In Disk Utility, the details for the Hard drive says it is named CSD CAT060L, it is a Disk, the media type is Generic, and it is Internal. I have tried this many times, but the exact same thing happens. My DVD for Tiger was unopened, and new out of the box. If you need any information about what happens or anything, just ask.

Ldd does not show dependency on libC/ libCrun or libCstd
When I do an ldd on my executables (built using WS6U2), it does not show that it depends on libC/ libCrun or libCstd. But the executables use the iostream. More over, one of them fails with the below message;
ld.so.1: Rules: fatal: relocation error: file /opt/versant/cur_rel/lib/libcxxcls.so: symbol __1cDstdEcout_: referenced symbol not found
I initially thought the libCstd is not picked up as its path was not set in LD_LIBRARY_PATH. But setting it up right did not fix the issue. I finally had to preload libCstd using LD_PRELOAD to get the executable run.
My questions are;
1) Was the symbol __1cDstdEcout__ defined is some other library earlier and got moved to libCstd?
2) Why ldd does not list any of the C++ libraries (libC, libCrun or libCstd)?
3) What do libC, libCrun and libCstd provide? Does it provide any of the STL classes? I guess most of the STL comes from the headers itself (since most of them are templates)

There's more reliable way to check:
$ elfdump -d a.out | grep NEED
[0] NEEDED 0x215 libCstd.so.1
[1] NEEDED 0x22d libCrun.so.1
[2] NEEDED 0x269 libm.so.2
[3] NEEDED 0x243 libc.so.1If you don't see some library here, then a.out does not declare its dependency on that library. It might get loaded if some other library requests it, but in case of run-time support libraries, executable must declare dependency on those libraries (libCrun and such).
Now, it is very hard to determine whether or not your app was once linked with, say, libCrun statically. If you suspect that this is the case, you need to find a symbol unique to that library and try looking for it in a.out; if it is defined in a.out, it means that libCrun was linked statically; if you don't find it, well, it usually means close to nothing...
One more note: it is an error to mix statically compiled C++ run-time support libraries with their dynamic versions; in other words, if a.out was once linked with libCrun.a, for example, and libCrun.so gets loaded during program execution (it can happen for various reasons, one example is a.out is linked with some shared library that declares dependency on libCrun.so), things might get rough.

It's easy to find out what those libraries provide by looking at global symbols they export:

Focusrite Saffire does not show up when connected to Imac by Firewire 800
When I connect my focusrite saffire to my i7 imac 27" via the firewire 800 port, the device does not show up on the computer, however it does light up indicating it is being powered off the firewire. When I click on "about this mac<more info<firewire", all I see is this " Maximum Speed: Up to 800 Mb/sec", I have checked and my "AppleFWAudio" file is up to date. The Focusrite uses Firewire 400 but I use an adaptor which converts it to 800, I have tried different adapters and cables from a number of companies which were suggested by Focusrite themselves and none of them worked.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?I too was having problems connecting my Focusrite Saffire to my new iMac 27" i7. It would light up and click several times, but it would never be in a ready state w/ both LINE indicators being green. The Saffire Control software would say the the Saffire DSP didn't load and to unplug it and re-plug and wait for the lights to turn green, but that never happened. I called Sweetwater (where I bought the unit) and they didn't seem to know of any prevailing issues, BUT the tech did suggest to reboot the iMac in 32 bit mode (hold down the '3' and '2' keys during startup). I did that and replugged the Saffire but it exhibited the same problem. I unplugged it and left it for like 3 minutes then reattached the firewire cable and it mounted. I opened up the Sound preferences and was able to select it and get sound out of it. I then opened DP and ran a quick test and it worked as well. The next test was to reboot into 64 bit mode. I did that while the Saffire was still connected and it actually stayed mounted and connected upon reboot. I have my System Sound output running through it right now and its still working. I haven't tried DP yet, but will do that later. I'm not going to reboot again until I hear back from Focusrite. I sent in a help request last night.
