Premiere Pro CC crashing upon export
Anyone having issues with Premiere Pro CC crashing when you try and export off the timeline? I have a 2010 MBP running OS X. Seems to be an intermittent problem but crashes about 50% of the time. I've got the latest version of Creative Cloud too.
I am on Windows, but have a few saved Mac discussions that may help (or, may not... but free to read) Some 10.9.3 links

Here is my problems with Premiere Pro CS5
When I export a project... the computer crashes.
I was able to get a tech chat and they would clean the media cache
so I did that.
Then, I got an export error "unknown problem" I then read in a forum to uninstall and reinstall Premiere pro
Now on my very nice relatively newer IMAC, when I go to applications to open it... I can not find a purple tab to open it. It just has a presets folder, then open that and it has styles, templates, textures but, now little purple Pr to open or drag to my dashboard.
Help PLEASE!!! I have wasted 20 hours of editing time, and work because of crashes, and problems. Here is my problems with Premiere Pro CS5

Premiere Pro CC crashes upon XML import from Final Cut 7 Export
Hello all,
I have recently tried to import a FCP7 XML into Premiere Pro CC 2014, and a few seconds after initiating the export Premiere Pro crashes. Any solution to this???
I Exported on a Mac Tower running FCP7 and then imported the XML on a PC Running the latest Premiere CC v8.1. Could that be a problem in itself?
Also I'm considering a workaround where I move the FCP7 to FCPX, generate the XML then try importing again. Worth a shot?
Also trying this strictly on an Apple computer to import and save before moving to my main PC station. Thoughts?
The sequence I'm trying to import is fairly massive too, not sure if this is why, but it is mult-layered, both in audio and video and is running about an hour in length with several other blocks of video files after that, probably running up to 2 hrs. This should not be a problem, right?
Help! It would be greatly appreciated to get out of the clutches of final cut finally.I am having the same issue.
Your best bet is to logon to Adobe website and go to customer support. If you chat with someone they can go on your computer and trash all your preferences. Your computer will be stable again. It worked great for me, but I just imported an XML from Resolve and it is crashing the system again.
Good luck. -
Premiere Pro CS3 crashes when exporting to Encore CS3
"Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project."
That is the error message. I am editing an AVCHD project in which I already converted as an .mpg prior to importing into Premiere (since CS3 does not import AVCHD natively). This is the first time I am doing this workflow, as a client has given me AVCHD files to work with. The project RT is 1 hr 2 min. I need to create a DVD and Blu-ray of this project.
System Specs
~Processor: AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-Core Processor 2.30GHz
~RAM: 4.00 GB
~OS: Windows Vista 32-bit
~Have the most recent updates for all CS3 programs
I tried:
Exporting to Encore
~Tried various settings for DVD. NTSC Progressive Widescreen High Quality, Medium, etc.
~Tried the preset for exporting Blu-ray to Encore.
~Created a new sequence with about 7 min of the project to see if it was a corrupt file; same results.
Using Adobe Media Encoder
~Used various presets and custom settings with the same result [error message; Premiere "stops working" and then crashes]
~Created a new sequence with about 7 min of the project to see if it was a corrupt file; same results.
I observed the Windows Task Manager when Premiere is opened and then when it crashes. The RAM is at 1.12GB before the project is opened, goes up to 2.17GB when it is opened, and remains about the same when it crashes. The CPU Usage is about 4-10% before the project is opened, spikes dramatically (+/- 10-80%) when Premiere is opened as well when it crashes.
I appreciate any and all help. Thank you to everybody in advance who will contribute a solution to my problem!More information needed for someone to help... click these links and provide the requested information

Premiere Pro CS5 crashing when exporting (only certain file types)
Hi
I have found that when I try and export media in Premiere Pro CS5, it often crashes during the export. It says
It's only certain file types. For instance, Vimeo HD seems okay but Vimeo SD always crashes mid-export. MPEG is okay too, but MPEG2-DVD always crashes.
Sometimes it says this: "Error Compiling Movie - Unknown Error" but doesn't throw me out of Premiere altogether.
Other times it crashes altogether and Windows gives me this error message: "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 258.96 stopped responding and has successfully recovered". Premiere Pro then stops responding so I have to re-open it and start exporting again.
I have checked there are no gaps in my timeline and I have rendered the whole work area. Besides, I doubt it's anything that I'm doing wrong with the project itself because it's exporting fine in some formats.
I am also experiencing random crashes when editing too. Not that often, but occasionally it throws me out - and twice it has made the whole screen go crazy, with weird dotting across the screen (it's scary, it looks like the monitor itself has broken!).
Any help would be appreciated!
Nick
PS I have a pretty decent new PC - Dell Studio XPS, 8GB, 2x1TB drives, etc. Premiere itself is working great, except for these crashes. Some drivers do not work well in some systems... so go to nVidia and try a different (usually newer) driver for your card
These notes are for Encore, but they MAY also work in Premiere

I'm exporting Media into a file format suitable for Vimeo. The interesting thing is that when exporting directly from Premiere Pro CC v7.2.1, I experienced the crash, but when I queued the job in AME, it ran to completion. Trying to export directly from within PPro again causes it to crash, this time flagging ImporterREDServer.exe as the abending application.
Thanks. -
Premiere Pro CC crashing on export
Using a new iMac with 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7, 32 GB ram, and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB.
I have read a lot of the forums but nothing has worked for me. Every time I try to export the video I am editing it crashes. However, when I transfer the files over to my macbook pro (which has only 8gb ram and a much worse video card) with premiere pro cc it exports fine. This is going to be a problem with my workflow if I have to constantly keep bringing the files onto my laptop.
Please help.Hi tschreiber10,

Premiere Pro CS6 Crashes when exporting H264 files
I shot a video with Canon 5D Mark III (1080p) and edited a 4 minute video which I am trying to export as an H264 file. I used the preset for Vimeo 29.97, 1080. But every time the export stops half way and premiere Crashes. I tired 5,6 times and each time it workds for 2-3 hours before crashing. It actually succeeded once but the audio had some issues. After that I could not export again! Any suggesions?
I am using a Mac book Pro 15 inch, mid 2009, 8gb ram, running Mountain Lion and have the latest updates for Premiere installed.
ThanksTry deleting all previous instances and partially-exported versions of the file. Then open a different Premiere Pro project (it doesn't matter which one; even a new project will do). Go to Edit>Preferenes>Media and click on the Clean button. Close Pr, open your problem project and try to export again.

Premiere Pro CS3 crashing on export
I have been using Premiere Pro CS3 for a while and I assure you I have NEVER touched any export settings, but now it is suddenly crashing on export.
There is no error message or anything, the program just turns off.
A friend suggested I change the settings to uncompressed.
The program was set to "Microsoft AVI" by default, so I changed it to "Uncompressed Microsoft AVI". Now it exports without crashing, but if I play the video in Quicktime, there is no video or sound, and if I play it in media player, there is sound, but no video.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC Crashing Upon Startup
Hello, this is my first post on this forum and I am doing this because I have a reoccurring problem:
Whenever I start up Premiere Pro CC, it does one of two things: 1. Stops responding at the startup screen and I am forced to close it. or 2. It gets to the "New Project" screen, and when I click anything, it stops responding and I am forced to close the program.
- I have a Windows 8 Intel Core i7-3630GM CPU @2.4GHz. 8 GB RAM. x64-based processor.
- I installed Premiere Pro CC (newest version directly from the Creative Cloud application) from the Creative Cloud (which I purchased within the past week).
- I tried reinstalling the program three times, each time trying to save it to a different location, and the problem still persists.
- The error message just says "Abobe Premiere Pro has stopped working" and then just suggests the normal pointless "If Windows finds a solution to the problem...etc"
I would like to recieve help for this problem because I need to use this software very soon in the future.
Thank You!1st, Go to http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere and, in the area just under Ask a Question, type in

Premiere Pro CC Crashes upon video import
I just installed CC on my computer. All the programs seem to be running fine, with the exception of Premiere Pro. Whenever I go to import video (either by dragging video over or importing) the program crashes. I went to 'Event Viewer>Windows>Logs>Application' to try and see what the problem was.
