Premiere Pro CC not will not open since upgraded to Yosemite on Mac early 2008?@
Have you informed Apple of your problem?
Yosemite sometimes has problems, often related to "default" permissions needing to be changed

I upgraded to yosemite os x but now can not open iPhoto. states that iphoto library upgrade tool is needed. did that but still can not open iPhoto
brightdust and FlyGirl_1350 are exactly right. You need version 9.6 of iPhoto and it's about 1.14GB in size to download - so get ready to wait a while unless you have a pretty fast internet connection.

CS5 will not open after upgrading to Yosemite
Hi Clickchris,
CS5 Photoshop is supported on Mac OS 10.5.7 and 10.6.
It has not been tested on Yosemite as it is a very old version of the product.
Please refer to below document.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC not opening an xml file created in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014
Hello,
I had created a project using Adobe Premiere CC 2014 which had some minor changes, which were going to be done by my boss, who uses Premiere Pro CC. However the project file of Adobe Premiere CC 2014 was not getting opened in Premiere Pro CC giving a message of type that as this file was created in a newer version of Premiere, it cannot be opened. After searching on this forum I found that we have to convert the Premiere Pro CC 2014 project file to XML file which can be then imported onto Premiere CC. So I created a XML file by selecting File-> Export -> Final Cut Pro XML and sent it to my boss. However even the xml file is not getting opened after being imported onto Premiere Pro CC giving an error of sorts, Cannot open the file since there is a problem with the codecs.
Have I done something wrong? Please guide me since I am a beginner to the Adobe environment and would very much appreciate any help.
Thank you.Indeed..... but are they fully documented, includuing Adobe's implementation of Multicam?
Collapsing them should really be no more than a day or two of work for an Adobe engineer and a day of beta testing. Seriously. Lots of people want this - it only takes a few minutes with google to find people struggling with this exact problem. Premiere Pro Multicam --> Resolve.
Since we do a lot of multicam work it's something that's important to us.
Lots of other people never go near multicam, so I guess for them it's something they really don't care about.
I currently have > 22 hours of multicam sequences that need primary colour correction and follow on grading..... resolve would be the best choice by far. -
Newest version of premiere pro is not opening a project because "it was saved on a newer version"
I have been cutting on my laptop - using up to date creative cloud version of premiere pro. Laptop too slow - so rented a desktop until i finish this gig. I downloaded the latest creative cloud aps onto the desktop including latest cc premiere pro. HOWEVER, it will not open the other project because, it says in an error message, 'the project was saved in a NEWER version of premier pro" but this version i only downloaded THIS MORNING, it's up to date. How can it have been saved on a newer version?
Help me!
Thankssuper weird - the project I saved it in was made indeed on 8.1.0 (81) build - is it changing the version it downloads based on the computer? The laptop is a 2011 and the desktop (8 cores with super fast video card) is 2008… so is it taking that into account and only sending this computer an older version that it thinks it deserves?
Wait - a mo - if I manually go into the updates window it DOES allow me to update the software - but the adobe download manager insists the thing is up to date… I'll let you know what happens - thank you! -
Premiere Pro CC not opening Project or AutoSaves!!
Hi Guys,
If anyone can help I'd be grateful as I am up against a major deadline after about 1 months work and all of a sudden Premiere Pro won't open this project!! I just starts to open and then I get this error message:
Can't get into this project or any of my auto saves of the same project? HELP!!
Only thing I can remember doing recently (although it was working fine since this) was updating my Nvidia and Cuda Drivers. I also installed NewBlue FX Plugin ColorFast. Would any of these cause the problem?
Any advice really gratefully received as I am starting to panic!
Cheers,
Alex
Camera On FilmsI've just come accross this bug too. I moved some of my media (one music file a .aiff) in the finder from one folder to another on the shared storage where my media is kept). I moved it purely for tiding purposes.
When I went to reopen my PremiereProCC project it would not open. It would get passed the Open Project timebar but then just hang.
When I moved the audio file back to it's original place the project opened fine.
This is a bit wierd because it has found offline files before but for some reason moving this audio file freaked PPCC out.
I've tried moving the audio file again and reopening and it would not open, moving it back and hey presto the project opens again.
The autosaves would also not open because of this file being moved.
It's very odd because I've had to relink a whole project before in PPCC because I'd transfered the media to a new drive but when you move one small file it can't handle it.
This bug needs to be sorted as I've just jumped from editing on FCP7 for the last 10 years and can't afford for stuff like this to happen.
If anyone has any clues on how to ensure that PPCC can relink moved media that would be great.
Cheers
Doug

IPhoto will not open since upgrading to OSX 10.8
Hi, has anyone come across this since upgrading to Mountain Lion. iPhoto will not open and I get the below error message. I was previously on OSX 10.6 with all updates applied to the OS. I upgrade the iPhoto app under iLife 11 on OSX 10.6 and it worked fine. Since I upgrade to the new Mountain Lion OS, iPhoto will not open. I tried to rebuild the library using the command and option (alt) key but it will not give me the option to rebuild. Should I attempt to delete the application and reinstall? Any assistance would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

CS6 Premiere Pro file not opening, saying file is not supported
I have been working on a video piece and when I tried to open it recently to continue editing it, it said there was an error importing and that my file was not supported. When the file opened all the film didn't show up and was replaced by 'media pending' or something along those lines.
I don't know how to fix this as there is no reason the files should be incompatible as I haven't changed them from their original Premiere Pro files.
Does anyone have a solution?Try this:

Iphoto will not open since upgrading to OS X 10.10
upgraded to yosemite on my iMac and now i can not open iPhoto to do downoads
upgraded to yosemite on my iMac and now i can not open iPhoto to do downoads
All previous iPhoto versions are incompatible with Yosemite. You need to update iPhoto to version 9.6.
Which iPhoto version are you currently using?
Launch the AppStore, sign in with your AppleID, and look at the Updates tab. If there is an update waiting, install it.
If you cannot update, for some reason, try to buy iPhoto. If you are lucky, it may show for free.
Backup your iPhoto library, if you do not have a current backup.
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the Applications folder, but do not empty the Trash, so you can put iPhoto back, if need be.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your current AppleID.
Open the main page "Featured" of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.
If it is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support to sort out the AppleID. Use this link: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/ -
Acrobat X Pro 10.1.6 not opening since upgrading to IE10
Since upgrading to IE10, I can't open pdfs online. No problems opening off-line. Had the same problem with Java and had to upgrade to 64-bit version. Any way to solve this since AAX is 32-bit? Thanks!
Hello,
Try to run the IE 10 in compatibility mode.

Final Cut Pro X not opening some bundles with Yosemite
FCPX starts up, some bundles will open but not load media, others will not open at all, just spinning beach ball, have to force quit! Anyone else seeing this? I'm running latest of everything. Thank goodness I did a SuperDuper backup last night so I can use my clone.

Premiere Pro CC not available despite updating to Yosemite
I've just updated to Yosemite. I'd like to download Premiere Pro CC, which has been unavailable on the Adobe Application Manager. How do become able to download?
Kevin Rouch you will want to install utilizing the Previous Version option in the Creative Cloud Desktop application. You can find additional details at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.

My 2009 Canon MX860 Pixma printer not working since an upgrade to Yosemite on my MAC version 10.10. It is connected by USB. Have had no previous issues with printing, scanning or faxing. When trying to print my Calendar I only get light vertical dotted lines, none horizontal, no words and vague header colors. Checked printer image on the on my MAC which shows the same problem. All of the color and black cartridges are new.
The recent upgrade to the Canon application says it is completed but it is not, image on application upgrade is a circle with an X.
Any suggestions? Could this simply be a compatibility problem? I'd sure like to keep my Canon printer.
Thanks, LLCan you open System Information (Applications > Utilities) and select Printers in the left sidebar. If the MX is the only printer connected to the Mac then its information will be shown in the right pane. If you have more than one printer, then a list will be shown in the top right pane. Select the MX to see its information in the bottom right pane. Can you copy this information and paste back here for me to check.
Also an FYI - this is the Mavericks forum. The Yosemite forum is here
