Preview icon on windows 7/8 has status, but not "hangup"

When you hover over the skype icon on the taskbar in Windows 7/8, the preview window has the ability to set your status (away/do not disturb/invisible etc) which is great.
however, it would be GREAT, if while in a call, I could hang up from the preview window as well.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. You can hang-up a call from the mini preview window as well as the systray/notification area icon. You can't from the shortcut or pinned taskbar item but you can sign out which would effectively hang-up the call as well. Be aware that the Hang Up option is not present if you are not on a call.

Dear Gurus,
In a sales order VA01, after entering a material with all relevant information such as quantities etc. I get this message at the bottom of the page:
"Material AS_ECIR_TECH1 has status: Sales not allowed"
1- What does that mean?
2- How can I change this status so that I can input this order?

Hi,
The status of the 'DChain-spec. status' or 'X-distr.chain status' may have to be changed in the material to make it ready for sales order creation.
a. Go to MM02 and key in the material number AS_ECIR_TECH1
b. Select the 'Sales Organization 1' view and enter the details like plant, sales org and Distribution channel and press enter
c. You will find 'X-distr.chain status' and 'DChain-spec. status' one below the other. Change both the status to appropriate ones (I cannot tell you which is right status as I do not know what values are configured there).
d. Save the Material and try creating a sales order.
It should work for you. Let me know your feedback.

The first thing you need to do is download and install the Creative Cloud Desktop Application. Then, open that program and click on the Apps tab. You download and install creative cloud applications from there.
If your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements to run a given program, it won't show up under the Apps tab.
Once they are installed, you'll need to go to your Applications folder (Mac) or Program Files (x86) folder (PC) to start the program itself.

Satellite L750D - Window Media Player has sound but no pictures

Your issue is likely, but not necessarily a corrupted or missing codec since you haven't actually confirmed whether your problem is with just one disc or all discs nor if they ever worked on this system before.
Installing VLC is a good idea, but it's a considerate application and won't tamper or try to repair a busted codec and will more often avoids tampering or accidentally repairing any detected whether it's already working or likely broken like yours. That's one of the reasons VLc is so highly recommended such as they way it was repeatedly suggested to you.
A question to ask if your problem is being caused by a few discs, are they custom burned or commercially pressed boutique films since most mainstream DVD's use the same MPEG-2 codec for video and audio and failed video but working audio is usually a clue about a split format disc that has simpler audio streams but obscure video formats that can result in an issue just like yours.
In either case and if none of that is of interest, I can relate and suggest you keep any installed VLc's and download KLite because it is nothing but varying degrees of CODEC's including obscure ones and is fairly aggressive in detecting and seamlessly repairing corrupted codecs while offering more configuration options than most people want and more than many commercial video applications offer.
Visit http://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm and choose the "Mega" or 64Bit package but 64bit systems can successfully backport the 32bit set if you feel its necessary to.
You can also potentially skip the KLite process by diagnosing your codecs with Nirsofts InstalledCodec tool, a single file executable no install / no reboot but I don't get the impression you're prepared to really do much at that level and that's fine but it might be needless effort in your case.

But something you definitely need to stop and wonder about is what happened to crush your codec since they don't normally suffer damage until some insidious piece of badware like your favorite iLivid and mine gets into your computer to raise holy hell forever. If that could possibly be what happened to you, the circumstances of how you managed to pick it up and anything else are things you can keep to yourself but consider it a spyware affliction and one I don't make lightly and is something I rarely suggest since it is the overused excuse at the Microsoft forums to blame everything on spyware instead of poorly written OS code.

Some of the ORDER Idocs are in 53 status, but the orders are not processed successfully and no PO created for these Idocs.
They got below warning message when I checked in WPER transaction code.
" Missing authorization: Purchase Order Create Purchasing Grou 110 " - "Workitems (tasks) were created for this IDoc"
This is happening once in a while for some of the idocs. Remaining all idocs are posting successfully.
These IDOCu2019s are processed via user background. Not sure why we have authorisation issues as this user has SAPALL. Any ideas?

This seems to be an Authorisation issue, Kindly check for Purchasing Group 110, who are all assigned Buyers...
Then for those Buyers.. you can check what authorization is missing from Su53..
Compare with those who has authorisation to create PO Vs who does not have ..
you will have to provide the same authorisation to those users

DragAcceptFiles Working in Windows 10 TP build 9926 But Not Working In build 10049 and build 10061

My company has a software product that accepts dragged items. In all versions of Windows from XP through Windows 10 build 9926 that functionality has worked fine. However, with build 10049 (possibly 10041 which I did not test thoroughly before going
to 10049) and now 10061 that functionality stopped working. The application calls DragAcceptFiles to enable drag drop messages. In addition, either ChangeWindowMessageFilter is called on Vista or ChangeWindowMessageFilterEx is called on Windows
7 and higher for the messages WM_DROPFILES, WM_COPYDATA, and WM_COPYGLOBALDATA. This was working fine on Windows 10 build 9926. Now when I attempt to drag an item to our software product, I get the "Don't" symbol (circle with line through
it) and no WM_DROPFILES messages are received. The application is unchanged with only an upgrade to the Windows 10 build performed. As a sanity check, I created a brand new VM running build 9926 and the functionality worked fine. I then upgraded
the VM to 10049 and it stopped working. The following day I upgraded to 10061 and it is still broken. Is there are new filter or restriction in place since build 9926 on DragAcceptFiles that would be stopping the traditional drag drop procedure
from working? This is very frustrating because there is a dearth of information on Windows 10 API changes and since this appears to be some kind of recent change, I am out of ideas of where to look for answers. I can duplicate this problem on the older
platforms by simply calling DragAcceptFiles with the second parameter set to false. In that case, on Windows 7 for example, I will get the "Don't" symbol just I am getting now in the Windows 10 TP with the argument set to true.

DragAcceptFiles is now working again in 10074 so whatever the problem was, it has been fixed.

Conky if_mpd_playing hides status but not console output

conky has an if_mpd_playing function these days, which is nice to not display unecessary "null" playing messages. in my case however, the availability of mpd depends on the wireless network i'm connected to. so when i'm at work where i don't have mpd, if_mpd_playing nicely hides the now playing status but the console starts spitting out:
Conky: MPD error: timeout in attempting to get a response from "myserver" on port 6600
every couple of seconds. does anyone have an idea how to avoid this? can conky check for the presence of a host instead of a running mpd? i already have set out_to_stderr to 'no', which doesn't seem to help. out_to_console is set to 'yes', since i am piping through to dzen2.

My conky script with mpd stuff works ..and quite well I might add but only if i'm connected to a wireless network otherwise I get Conky: MPD error: unknown server 'localhost' blah blah
I tried disabling IPv6 and still doesn't connect and wicd refuses to play so I re-enabled it
should add both mpc and sonata can see/connect to it fine without the wireless!?
Any other suggestions?
Update:
After a lot of dead ends i managed to solve this.
For reasons I don't understand an ip address has to be assigned to either wlan0 or eth0 for conky to connect to mpd? so I added this to my rc.conf
eth0_0="eth0:0 127.0.1.1 netmask 255.0.0.0 broadcast 127.0.1.255"
INTERFACES(eth0 eth0_0)
my conky script is now up and running without have to connect to the tinterweb yay

USB has power, but not detecting any USB drive. Also crazy trackpad.

I own a 2012 Macbook Pro, and I am running OS X Version 10.9.4 on it. Everything was working fine until last week, when the USB ports stopped working. Now, the USB ports still have power because the lights in my USB drive and external hard disk turn on when I insert them into the system. However, the OS X is not able to detect any of these devices as well as my USB mouse. I have Windows 7 installed on bootcamp, but there is no USB response in Windows 7 as well.
I have done the SMC and PRAM reset, as suggested on numerous other discussions, but there were no improvements.
To add to all this, the trackpad on my macbook started going berserk. The pointer has started to randomly click and drag, while I am not even touching the trackpad. It is extremely hard to move cursor to a particular folder, because the cursor will click and drag a lot of times, while it has reached its destination. Also, the trackpad acts insensitive in certain regions. I tried cleaning the trackpad (as suggested on other discussions), but the problem goes away only temporarily. It seems, after using it for a couple of hours, the problem is back again.
With USB and trackpad not responding, it is getting hard to pass the first week of school. I took it to IT department at my school, they checked it for a couple of minutes, and told me that I'll have to shell out $280 for sending it to Apple Depot. I'll really appreciate any kinda help!

I understand that you are having trouble with your USB ports not recognizing most devices. I am happy to assist with this.
Since it just recently started to happen, I would normally recommend starting with a system restore to a point before the problem began. (say about a week ago or longer if possible) Unfortunately you have already done a reinstall, so there should not be any useful restore points to use.
Presumably you already backed up any data you could before reinstalling windows, and if so, then you could try a system recovery, which would restore the factory image of the notebook. Give it a try and let me know if it makes any difference.

I have home sharing on but can't see my library on the computers icon. iTunes does display my purchased tunes but not my own imports.

I have home sharing on in iTunes but can't see my library when I use the computers icon on Apple TV. iTunes does display my purchased tunes but not my own imports.
I can play my own tunes by selecting them on my iMAC and directing them to Apple TV. I think that I should be able to see my entire library on Apple TV shouldn't I?
Am up-to-date with iTunes and using Mavericks OS. I am connecting to Apple TV with an Airport Extreme 802.11n Wi-FI and a brand new Apple TV.

Okay, so HomeSharing is not working. Most likely due to a network issue.
Is the ATV and computer running iTunes actually on the same network? Many new routers create seperate networks for the wired and wireless portions of the local network.

Are there any error codes displayed or in the eventlog?
Is the sequencer machine identical as the client where the package is started?
Is KB2984972 installed on the client?
What version of App-V do you use?
Did you install the the application in the PVAD or in the VFS?

I would assume the options to switch into it would be the same. I can't confirm though since I don't run Windows 8.

Why does windows have 64-bit iTunes but not mac?

I can't believe it. I searched the archives here and someone said because most people don't have 64-bit compatible machines. Then why does Windows get separate versions but not the native OS?
I'm running audio hardware optimized for 64-bit (drivers) but the sound quality of iTunes is worse in 64-bit than in 32-bit.
Anyone have any knowledge when 64-bit is going to be released?

iTunes is only 32 bit for Windows OS and Mac OS.
The 64bit version for Windows simply includes 64 bit drivers. The application itself is only 32 bit.
