Previous iphone 3.1 sdk's
Where can I download previous versions of the iphone sdk's, because I only have the latest version of the sdk installed with xcode, which isn't supported in all the devices and in the developer site I can only found the 3.1.2 version.

I don't think either the ADC Member site or the iPhone Dev Center provides a complete SDK download for any past versions. You'll find some 3rd party sites that claim to have complete downloads of some versions, but 1) I think these are illegal and 2) the risk is off the charts.
However for most purposes, installing an older package is unnecessary. For example, when I downloaded SDK 3.1, I checked installation options to add support for five past iPhone OS versions, starting with 2.0. Once you have this support you can build against any of the SDKs for any OS deployment target the SDK supports. For more info on how to use these options, look over SDK Settings in the +SDK Compatibility Guide+.
As you'll see at the above link, you have one problem if you don't have a system older than Snow Leopard: 10.6 doesn't support older versions of the Simulator. Note that you would still have this problem with 10.6 even if you found the installation package for an older SDK. In fact I don't know if such a package would install anything on 10.6.

On previous iPhones you could go to settings and block the the actual text message from pooping up. Only the sender would show up. On the i4gs the sender and message show up. This is a major flaw as far as privacy. There are no options with in settings to stop this from happening. PLEASE TELL ME IM WRONG ???

Go to Settings > Notifications > Messages. You can turn Notifcation Center off for Messages, or select None for the alert style, and turn Show Preview off, and view in Lock Screen on or off. -
I can't get my apps to sync on my new iPhone 3gs. This happened on a previous iPhone and never was resolved. Could there be a conflict with some settings on my computer? I want to use my apps!!!

I have been told that my iMac jjust can not be upgraded to the software that supports ios5. Normally this is not a problem since its working just as well as the day I got it. However since it holds my itunes, now i have a problem of 1) can not access it with my ipad or my iphone 4s 2) i can not retrieve any of the pictures, songs etc that i had on my previous iphone 3gs and consequently 3) i can not use icloud. I have considered transferring my itunes to a pc but i hate the pc experience and if i would plug in my 3gs into that itunes it would format the phone and erase all content on it. So far i have been told that the only option is to buy a new mac. This is very frustrating because i don't really need one and i should not be excluded from apple services for my new products simply because macs become somehow "un-upgradeable" after a while. Not to mention, that i do not have the funds atm. I really hope the is another way out there for people like me and that i don't have to worry about my mac simply being inoperable (causing all my other apple devices to be crippled as well) after a few years.

I tried upgrading to leopard, even bought the software and brought it home but it wouldn't let me. So i went back to apple, gave them the specifications of the machine and been told my machine is simply too old for leopard. This is incredible to me because it really isn't THAT old (i think just a little over 6 years maybe) and yet i'm left out on the curb when it comes to using newer apple products. I understand technology moves on but the mindset that i am supposed to dump a perfectly working machine after a couple of years or face not being able to use any other apple product is counter to what thought apple was about. -
How do I access photo's backed up from previous iPhones on my new one?

I've had three iPhones 3GS's. My first two went wrong, so Apple kindly replaced them for me. When I came to restoring my iPhone each time, the photo's that I had taken on each previous iPhone were stored into a different album and loaded into my new one. Trouble is, I can't seem to access them through my Mac; or at least I don't know how to.
When I click on the 'Photos' icon on my iPhone it gives me the options to view my 'Camera Roll', my 'Photo Library', and 'iPhone1' and 'iPhone2'. The 'Photo Library' is simply made up of all the pictures from 'iPhone1' and 'iPhone2' which were the names of the previous back ups I had created. I can't delete these pictures from my iPhone or access them through my Mac to back them up again. I used to use a PC, but that is dead now and if I lose this iPhone, then I'll lose all these pictures as well.
Any ideas??????

Hi,This is Dr Mohammad Bashir Ahmed from united arab emirates,I just got my iphone 4S today and i am really disappointed because its coverage is very poor as compared to my previous iphone 3 GS,i used my iphone 4S today in same areas of my house where i was using my iphone 3GS and most of the times 3G network doesnt work and i am unable to use it even it takes very long time to open a simple email without any attachment,i called my network service provider (DU)also but they told me there is no issue of coverage in my area,moreover my iphone 3GS is working fine in same area,2ndly a strange thing is happening,it gets heated very quickly on sim card side and even i feel difficult to hold it for long because of too much heat,i was excited about SIRI which hardly works,so plz tell me should i return this set or what?

my iphone is broken,and i came to store to change a new one today. When I come home, I found I lost my backup and may be mistake is made during before backup.The information in my previous iphone is really important for me? how can I get the backup back?
If you don't have a backup then the only possible solution is to go back to the store and see if they can get your old phone and create a backup of that. I know very often that Apple employees will wipe the returned iPhones clean before shipping them back to wherever they ship them.
When you say your old phone was "broken" does this mean it is dead and won't turn on?
Do you have a Time Machine backup of your computer, or a clone that might have this info on it?
Other than that I hate to say you may be out of luck. Time Machine and/or a cloning program performed regularily will inevitably save your a** in situations like this.

I had a previous iPhone, my current iPhone and my iPad that are all connected to one cloud. Can I delete the backup from my previous iPhone? Will it delete in the cloud AND on the phone? or does it just delete from iCloud? or does it just delete from the phone? Someone please help!
You can delete the backup without any problem. Only the backup will be deleted from iCloud and nothing else will be deleted, so you can do it without worrying about losing data on iCloud or your devices

i would like to get my notes back from itunes or at least be able to see them without restoring my brand new iphone 4s as i believe the back up from my previous iphone is corrupted. Help please
If you can't restore from your backup you could try 3rd party software such as iPhone Backup Extractor to see if you could extract your notes from the backup.

Okay so i had an iphone 5. I backed it up on icloud. Then i got the new iphone 5s i restored ot from icloud from my previous iphone 5. Now everything works find execept now the games are slowy and drops the frame rate and look choppy. Then i restarted my iphone 5s as a new device downloaded the same apps even the ones optimized for ios 7 and the games still lag. And i just got my iphone 5s replace. The funny thing is. While im playing games and their running choppy and slow and if i take a snap shot inside the phone. They run smooth and HD but just for a few seconds and boom they go back to slow and choppy. Is it the ios 7 or the iphone 5s it self? Like i said this is my replacement iphone 5s because the other 5s did the same thing. And it was running slowly.
As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you. -

iTunes does not backup any contact information. Contact information is sync'd with your contacts program on your computer. On a Mac, that would be the Contacts program, which iTunes will sync the content with between your iPhone and the computer. On a Windows PC, people often use outlook, and their contacts are sync'd with its contacts.
You can also sync contacts with iCloud.
Do you still have the previous iPhones? If so, just sync them with whatever contacts program you use on your computer, then sync those to the new iPhone. -
I bought an iphone 4S from somebody at the airport and the person was stranded. but l forgot to ask for the Apple id and l did hard reset when l got to my destination after using it for a week now l am stuck at that page where it needs the apple id to continue set up. now l dont know what to do so that l may start using it. l tried using my apple id from my previous iphone but efforts became fruitless it is giving me a hint of the email like [email protected]. please guys help me out.
You've encountered activation lock.
There is no way to bypass it. If you can't get hold of whoever you bought it from, just turn it over to the police. It's probably a stolen phone.

A recent pre-release of iTunes was part of this program as well, again, providing a controlled environment that brings not only a first-look, but associated risks common to pre-release products. It isn't hard to imagine a free-for-all scenario leading to issues that would sidetrack an otherwise organized process.
