Pricing Analysis

My client is implementing a new pricing approach as they bring product lines live in SAP.  Because of differences between the SAP and legacy configuration and pricing approaches they do not want to convert the millions of possible pricing combinations to load historical pricing information in standard SAP pricing.  Our tests have also shown that we cannot consistently reproduce the legacy prices in  SAP.  Rather, we are developing a function module called from a Condition Value formula to execute their legacy logic against data migrated into custom tables.  This function module will include a trace that has a similar function to the SAP pricing analysis.  Does anyone know the SAP program or a user exit that would allow us to add information to the pricing analysis log?

This is the FM COND_PROTOCOL_SHOW_NEW which gives you the Analysis for the pricing. I don't know is there any userexit in this FM.

  • Pricing analysis - Production Premium

    OK, so 2 years ago, I bought CS5.5 Web Design Premium. A few months later, the introduction of Production Premium and my dissatisfaction with the product set in Web Premium, plus all the benefits in CS6 saw me eagerly handing $375 to upgrade to Production Premium CS6. I have used that suite for nearly 2 years and am quite happy with it in all areas except Premiere Pro, which I am using a LOT more right now and CS6 is missing some key features from CC that are very significant to me (audio sync and Speedgrade roundtripping).
    Now there is CC, which gives me a choice between Master Collection for $600/yr or $240/yr for ONLY Premiere Pro CC.
    Now there's also a discount being proffered here of 40% - which I'll assume is going to end up being a 1 time thing. That would drop it to MC for $360 and Prem Pro for $144.
    Given that CC has been out for some time now, it should be coming into Adobe's head that ALL CC users are now coming into the period of time where that 40% disappears. For users that haven't upgraded, it becomes quite obvious that any deals of "40% off" are extremely limited.
    For most users, Adobe products are a significant expense. Yes, I use it for work, but I use a copy I purchased personally, and because my job is not specifically a graphic artist and my use of Adobe at work is only a part of my job description, I am not reimbursed for this. Further, job security in a difficult economy means that if my work DID pay for my Adobe habit, losing that job would mean that suddenly I am tied to $600/yr out of my own pocket.
    Additionally, Adobe users tend to be "long haul" type professionals. We don't look at purchases in terms of a few months. We look at them in terms of ROI and long term usage. I started a business on the side 6 months ago. I created a 5 year overall plan for it. I had a meeting yesterday that set out a roadmap for video projects and marketing materials plans that involve months as being small increments. This means that a 40% discount, while *nice* is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT. It puts the upgrade cost at the same as the $375 for Suite users, but forces a move to the Master Collection cost tier, which is unacceptable for the long term. I am looking at Adobe as a significant part of my life for the next 25+ years. 40% for one year is meaningless. 40% locked in would be a totally different story.
    So as a "Premium Suite" type user here is the pricing analysis. 40% is irrelevant beyond one year, so is not even worth considering:
    CS product - $375/upgrade. $427 with tax. Upgrade cycle: every version = once a year, every other version = once every 2 years. =$375/yr or $187.50/yr (I am typically an 'every other version' type upgrader).
    Premiere Pro CC - $240/yr. A single product which would cost more than upgrading every other year.
    Complete Creative Cloud - $600/yr. All the products I use and several I don't.
    So comparing $600/yr for Creative Cloud vs $200/yr for upgrading my Suite every other year, I am now faced with a rather disappointing solution.
    In terms of budget for work, if I was given a budget of $200, in *WHAT UNIVERSE* would that budget then be approved for $600? In the real world, under those circumstances, I would be told to 'figure something out' to make my budget work. In the digital world, those are not words that Adobe wants skilled technical people to be using. Most of these users are well aware of pirated options out there and are making a firm moral decision not to take that road.
    There *MUST* be an option for non-Master Collection users. We can't be that small of a group.
    Would I pay $375/yr to use Production Premium CC? No. Probably not. Most Adobe users I know are every other year type upgraders too. This is *especially* true of non-Master Collection users, who tend to be willing to spend, but also looking for 'cost effective solutions'.
    Knowing that my budget EXPECTS $200/yr, would I pay $275/yr for Production Premium CC? Begrudgingly... probably. And I'd probably still wait another 6 months or so, using CS6 and feeling annoyed.
    Would I pay $225/yr for Production Premium CC? That's probably around the point where I would look for that 40% deal for the first year and slap down my plastic TODAY, even though I don't really feel a need to upgrade anything more than Premiere Pro.
    So there's your feedback Adobe. Please take note.
    If you don't want to listen, I can pretty much guarantee you that I won't be switching to a $600/yr pay scheme at any point in the next 3 years. Probably 5.
    What would you rather have? 5 years at $225 = $1100
    or 0 years at $600/yr = $0
    I recommended to my mother that now that she is retired, she should pay $9.99/mo for Photoshop CC. I think it would be great for her and I think the monthly pay scheme is perfect for that. She can turn it off an on as desired.
    I am a *totally* different type of customer. So is pretty much everyone else who needs anything more than a single Adobe product.

    Hi All,
    We posted a fix for this to Akamai's configuration on 3:07pm PT Saturday 5/1/2010.
    If you downloaded the Production Premium .7z file via a java based browser (Firefox etc) prior to that, then you will have to redownload.  I apologize for the inconvienence.  You can either redownload using the Akamai DLM or you can download using direct HTTP links.
    If you want to download via HTTP directly, I recommend you use Firefox, since it handles  downloading of files larger than 2Gb (some versions of Internet Explorer  won’t do a file bigger than that)
    1.       Go to the page in the store where  you see your downloads for your purchase.
    Then cut and paste this URL and put it into  the address bar (where you type in url links) to get the big .7z file
    http://esd.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/STVD/CS5/win32/ProductionPremium_CS5_LS7.7z
    2.       Then repeat the above to get the  .exe file
    http://esd.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/STVD/CS5/win32/ProductionPremium_CS5_LS7.exe
    if you are on Mac then  use this URL
    http://esd.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/STVD/CS5/win32/ProductionPremium_CS5_LS7.dmg
    Hopefully, they will  both download.   Then just double click the .exe file to  kick off the installation.   The .exe file uses the .7z  file, so make sure they are in the same directory and don’t change their  filenames.
    Here  are the filesizes and checksum (you can verify them with fastsum    ...see www.fastsum.com )

  • Country of Delivering Plant is not showing in Sales Order Pricing Analysis

    Hello All,
    I have created a new condition table with the field Country of Delivering Plant (KOMK-WKCOU).
    But in the sales order pricing analysis this field is not fetching the country of the plant (it is showing the Yellow color exclamation icon).
    This is  a standard field, I am not able to understand why it is not fetching this field.
    I have used the same field for tax condtions in my previous projects as well, there it worked well.
    Even I have activated the KOMK structure in SE11 also, but still the same problem.
    Can anybody tell me how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sreehari.

    Rightly suggested by Shiva.
    As plant determines at item level.
    So, instead of KOMK-WKCOU, field should append in KOMP.
    FYI, for checking any inconsistency in condition table, you can use TCode VK+C.

    Details for ZICT condition Type:
    Access Details:
    *ZINTER is originally used in billing and was decided to also use for order.
    There is no problem involved in billing.
    Please take note that I already found other discussions and an OSS Note regarding this issue and applied the suggested solution. But still I encounter an issue in the order created.
    After implementation of the proposed solution which is moving Material type(MARA-MTART) and Valuation Class(MBEW-BKLAS) to the corresponding fields TKOMP-MTART and TKOMP-ZZBKLAS.
    ZICT Condition Type details:

    As I mentioned above, I already followed steps in previous discussion.  It seems odd that there is still a problem. Can you please enlightnen me up and advice if there are things that I still  need to know.

  • Pricing Issue Pricing Analysis - BADI ME_DEFINE_CALCTYPE

    Hi Guys,
    My requirement was to trigger new pricing on change of Delivery Date. I have to retrigger pricing only if there is any change in fields EKKO-INCO1, EKKO-INCO2,EKET-EINDT, EKPO-MATNR and EKPO-ADRNR.
    For the same I have implemented three badi's and one pricing routine.
    BADI's are -
    ME_DEFINE_CALCTYPE - Method DEFINE_CALCTYPE : Setting the Flag CH_X_LF_CALCTYPE If there is difference between the old value and new value of Fields mentioned above.
    ME_CHECK_ALL_ITEMS - Method RECALCULATE_ITEMS Setting the Flag CH_X_RECALCULATE. If there is change in the Incoterms field at PO Header.
    In these BADI's I am checking if there is any change in the above mentioned fields. It retrigger the Pricing.
    I have implemented one more BADI (ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST-Method PROCESS_SCHEDULE) which will trigger the pricing process, If we change the delivery date. This will pick the current delivery date and EXPORT it to memory ID which will be later IMPORTED to pass on this date to pricing header based on which the Pricing will be done on the changed delivery date. ( I hope I am correct here )
    I have a pricing routine for one of the condition type in pricing. I am exporting the changed delivery date to the routine and changing the value of KOMK-PRSDT with this new delivery date value.
    The issue is, When I do changes for the first time the pricing is working correctly. And I am able to see the PO field values for which the condition record is matched in the pricing analysis .But when I am saving the PO and again changing the values of Delivery date and any one of the fields mentioned. Pricing Analysis shows the same old values of PO fields for which the condition records were matched on last pricing cycle.
    Please let me know where I am wrong or where I can correct to display the current values of PO fields for which the condition records matched in the Pricing Analysis.

  • Problem with access sequence display  in pricing Analysis:

    Hi
    We have a situation that seems to occur for a specific customer/material combination where there are missing key combinations in the pricing analysis screen.  In some instances, we will have 10 key combination for a condition type, but only the first 2 and the last 2 will be included, or in some cases, only the last 3 are shown.
    For ex. In the configuration ,Access sequence of the condition type ZXYZ , has  14  key combinations. But in the pricing analysis system shows only last 3 key combinations even though condition record is maintained for the first key combination.
    I want to understand why system is not showing all the key combinations in the pricing analysis and what is solution to resolve this problem?

  • Pricing analysis is not activated in ISA 4.0.

    Hi Experts,
      Can any one advice me to activate Pricing analysis in Webshop ISA 4.0.  We are using CRM 4.0  for internet Sales.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Murugan Arumugam.

    Hi Murugan,
    from a technical point of view there are two diffrenet links :
    A) pricing analysis from basket
    B) pricing analyses from Catalog pages.
    Normaly one of them (usualy the basket price anaylsis works) .
    As it was pointed out XCM is responsible for displaying the analyis link.
    Unfortunately there are several Patchlevels with bugs in that area.
    e.G. one of them is  that the depricated (3.0) solution isn't ported to XCM.
    So try to set the corresponding entry in WEB.XML. But be careful with that, because the WEB XML becomes part of the ear file and will be transported to a productive system where you won't show any analyis to your customer.
    If that work around don't work, XCM settings are correct,  open a call.
    Regards
    Chris.

  • Pricing analysis in ISA ends in runtime errors

    Hi,
    When I try to analyze the price conditions in ISA I get a runtime error. Does anybody knows what could be the problem?

  • Analysis pricing purpose??

    Hi SAP gurus,
    Kindly, anyone help me to explain what is pricing analysis at sales order level.
    What kind of reason if the material not pick up the price at VK11?
    The price is appear but i dont know where it get from?
    Except VK11 where else the pricing is stored/setup?
    I want to:
    Set new margin percent for tasklist parts which is 100% but the pricing still pickup the old one 65% eventhough i was indicate the deletion for old record...
    My pricing suppose in sequence:
    <b>Company/Sales org/Material/Mat group 1/Mat group 5</b>

    Hi,
    Please go and check in the configuration of access sequence whether you have selected exclusive indicator for your accesses or not.
    If you have selected the same then the system will pick the value from the first access sequence it will find in VK11.
    Analysis also shows the same thing.It must be showing that the system is picking 65%.
    If you want to remove 65%,you have to delete the condition record maintained for 65%.
    Reward points if it helps.

  • IPC pricing gross value for products in catalog

    Hello all,
    In ISA b2b application I need to add a new column with gross value for products in catalog. Here is how I've tryed :
    </i>
    <!-- CBI Added gross price -->
                   <td align="right" >
                        <%IPCItem priceRef2;
                         try {
                          priceRef2 = (IPCItem) item.getItemPrice().getPriceInfo()
                                       .getPricingItemReference();
                          if (priceRef2 != null) {
                               DimensionalValue grossValue = priceRef2
                                                 .getGrossValue();
                                       %>
                                       <%=grossValue.getValueAsString() + " "
                                                 + grossValue.getUnit()%>
                        <% } else {
                             %><isa:translate key="z_catalog.isa.nogrossvalue"/> <% }
                         } catch (Exception e) {
                         %><isa:translate key="z_catalog.isa.ipcexception"/>
                         <%} %>
                   </td>
                   <!-- CBI Added gross price -->
    </i>
    The problem is that the gross value is the same with the net value.
    I've try also using <i>item.getItemPrice().getPriceInfo().getAllPriceInfos()</i>
    where item is WebCatItem, and retrive an array of PriceInfo (s) with only one PriceInfo object which has the type <b>netValue</b>.
    Then in the backendobject-config.xml I've modify the priceTypes attribute value for BO "CatPriceCalc", but without any succes. Here is the snippet:
    <i><businessObject type="PriceCalc" name="CatPriceCalc" className="com.sapmarkets.isa.backend.crm.webcatalog.pricing.PriceCalculatorCRMIPC" connectionFactoryName="JCO" defaultConnectionName="ISAStateless">
                        <params>
                             <!-- CBI gross value -->
                             <b><param name="priceTypes" value="totalNetValue totalGrossValue"/></b>
                             <!-- for allowed values see defined constants in com.sapmarkets.isa.backend.boi.webcatalog.pricing.PriceType -->
                             <param name="doItemCalls" value="true"/>
                             <!-- set this to true if you want to have additional call of CRM_ISA_PRICING_ITMDATA_GET when doing item pricing -->
                        </params></i>
    Do you know how to solve this problem? Or why is not working.
    Any help (soultion, docs, links) is very wellcome and rewarded.
    Thank you
    Bogdan

    Hi Bodgan,
       It seems that some values like tax, discount are not being calculated by IPC as required parameters are not sufficient enough to differentiate between the two. You can run catalog pricing analysis and see what are the gross and net pricing value. You can update the extra parameters to IPC by extending the class you mentioned and modify backend config xml file to use that class for ISA.
    Regards.

  • Replication of pricing routiens from R/3 to CRM

    dear Experts,
    We have created pricing procedure in ECC and we have used a pricing Routine for calculation purpose and assigned it to our Condition Type.
    As our leading system is CRM we have downloaded the pricing procedure from ECC to CRM using DNL_CUST_CNDALL. Now entire pricing procedure got downloaded with that routine no. as well.
    We have done a BADI in place of writing this User Exit in IPC .Whenever I create a Transaction the conditions are failing and giving message saying that Requirement Failed for that particular condition which is assigned with requirement no.
    As an alternative we have done a dummy user Exit in IPC and assigned with the same routine no. but still problem persists.
    we are getting the message in step text "Condition ignored(requirement<number> not fulfilled)"in pricing analysis.
    Please Suggest.
    Regards,
    Bixamaiah.

    Hi,
    You have mentioned in your post above, that you have done a BADI instead writing a User Exit in IPC.
    Could you explain more on this BADI. Was your error resolved?
    We have a requirement where we would like to write the Pricing logic in an ABAP fumction module / method, and call this from appropriate user exit in IPC. Hence I am interested in knowing what your BADI does.

    This condition type has been kept as statistical in the pricing procedure. Still in the proforma invoice the condition type is not getting reflected automatically , whenever I am updating with " carry out new pricing " option the condition type is getting populated.In case of other commercial invoices this very condition type is getting populated automatically without any updates.Along with this point to be noted is that the Condition type in which the actual costi is captured has been kept active.
    What more needs to be configured or what are the changes to be done to populate the condition type automatically as statistical during the time of proforma invoicing?

  • Tax calculation in CRM using R/3 pricing procedure

    Hello Experts
    We are using R/3 pricing procedure to calculate list prices in CRM.
    The condition record for Taxes are maintained for condition type UTXJ in SD which is calling for tax procedure TAXUSJ and condition type JR1.
    The records are maintained in FTXP.  This is the SAP Standard way of maintaining taxes if external tax software is not used.
    We have downloaded the condition records and condition types in CRM.  The tables have all the required records downloaded from R/3.
    When creating an order in Webshop the tax is not getting calculated.
    The pricing analysis shows that the condition record for UTXJ condtion type is met, but it is not showing the tax maintained for condition type JR1.
    Have we missed any settings here?
    If we are using R/3 billling does the TTE needs to be activated for calculating taxes in the webshop?
    If TTE needed to be used for calculating taxes, what are the settings needed to be configured?
    Thanks in advance for the valuable advice.
    Sastri

    Hi Sastri,
    I am facing this problem with TAX Condition Records: Pricing error: Mandatory condition MWST is missing. I am using a R/3 pricing procedure correctly downloaded to CRM.
    You say that you have downloaded the condition records and condition types in CRM. SAP Library says 'Prerrequisites: You have downloaded the tax condition records from SAP ECC'.
    I don't know If my problem is caused because I haven't downloaded any Tax Condition Records. The fact is that I cannot determine which one is the Condition Object to download in R3AS.
    I would really appreciate if you or anyone could tell me which object you did use.
    thanks in advance,
