Pricing date of billing

Hi experts:
                In our Delivery-Related sales,the pricing date in billing comes from the PGI date of delivery actually.
                Now,i want the pricing date in billing comes from pricing date in sales order, i try it many times,but all failed.
                In VOV8 i can Propose the pricing date in sales order.
                How does the Pricing date come from in billing in SAP Std?
                Pls give me some advice.

Use t.code VTFL (Copy control from delivery to billing document).
Select the source and target document types.
Then go to item details. You need to select appropriate routine in the field Data VBRK/VBRP. This routine should have coding to propose the price data from the order.
If you don't find a routine to suit your requirement, then you can develop the routine in t.code VOFM - Menu Data Transfer ->Billing documents.
The coding logic can be;
IF NOT VBKD-PRSDT IS INITIAL.
VBRP-PRSDT = VBKD-PRSDT.
ENDIF.
There is an OSS Note 130339 - Pricing date in the billing document, but this refers to versions upto 4.5b.

Mass change of pricing date and billing date in credit memo request

Hi,
Can i change the billing date pricing date on credit memo request docs using MASS transaction?
If i enter the regular sales order number it prompts me to change the value but if i enter the credit memo request doc number,the message "No data meets the selection criteria" is displayed.I also checked with IDES ,message is the same
Is there any different way to do mass change for credit memo requests or am i missing something here.

Hi,
Go to the transaction code MASS and enter the OBJECT TYPE as BUS2032 and enter
It will lead you to the next screen where you can find the Table and Field TABS
Select the SALES ORDER HEADER DATA and choose the fields data and choose the fields PRICING DATE and BILLING DATE and execute
In the subsequent screen you can see the selection screen where you can enter all the Sales documents for which you want to change
Key in all the documents and execute
Now change the date as per your requirement and check the effect

Pricing date and billing date in va01 transaction

Dear all,
step 1: we have sales order of order type IEL1 in our sap system
step 2: then we do have order type IELB which is called billing request . this is created in va01 transaction against IEL1 sales order type. now here billing document is created.
at the time creation of billing request (order type IELB) we get data flown in from sales order of type (IEL1).
now my requirement is that pricing date and billing date needs to be today's date and not the past date which was in sales order.
please help me in getting current date at the time billing request.
what is exit or modification i have to do.
if not clear please let me know.

hi,
in va01 i create a sales order of type IEL1 and as well order type IELB.
now in our process we create sales order of type IEL1.
then we create billing request of type IELB with reference to order of type IEL1.
finally we create invoice in transaction code vf01 against order type IELB.
THIS is the process we are following.

Pricing date in delivery document and billing document

Hi All,
Pricing date in billing document can be controlled by copy control between order and billing document. This config is done in the field Pricing source. If i its set as "order", then my pricing date in billing doc will be same as that of order document pricing date. Tell me if i am right???
Where can i maintain the setting for determining the pricing date in delivery document.???

Where do you find Pricing date in Delivery and Billing ?
Pricing date is in Sales order, system takes rate of the pricing conditions valid on this date, from their condition record.
Are you talking of Pricing in Billing document, whether it will be copied from sales order, or delivery document etc , Right?
It is controlled from the "Pricing source" field (D- delivery, Blank- order,E - delivery/order etc.) in the copy control table at item level (VTFL).
Suppose, the value is E, that means Pricing data will be copied from order aswell as delivery(if any).
The copied will be copied as it is or Tax will be redermined or Freight will be redetermined etc will be decided from the "Pricing type "field.

How to get pricing date automatically when billing

Does anybody know where can I set, to get pricing date automatically when billing? (BTY must by the Sales order type)?

Hi check in t-code VOV8 and enter sales order document type you can see pricing date setting as well as you can change manually pricing date while billing creation of billing VF01.

Two different Pricing date

Hi Gurus,
can pricing date in billing document be different for different line items?
The scenario is two Sales orders having two different pricing dates is combined into one delivery document. Next Invoice is generated from that delivery document. But in Invoice the pricing date is same for both SOs which is system date or any selected date(as per choice). Can one single invoice have two different pricing dates depending upon sales order pricing dates?
As per my understanding the pricing date in Invoice is item based. Pls correct me if iam wrong.

One invoice is having one billing date only. Its not possible to have different billing date for different line item.
But if we are copying the pricing directly from sales order without redetermination then one single invoice can have two different pricing dates depending upon sales order pricing dates.

We can not change the pricing date for perticular line item at billing document level, the only option is we can enter the required date at the time of invoice creation in VF01 screen.
If your requirement is copying the same pricing date that is entered at sales order, then do the following.
Go to T Code:VTFL and choose your DElivery Type and Billing Type, then choose your item category and then change the pricing type as 'D' .

Pricing condition in Billing document (Pricing Date)

Hi Gurus,
I have a sales order which is created on 10.01.2012, the pricing date in the sales order is the same (10.01.2012). The Delivery was created on 22.02.2012 and Actual GI date is also 22.02.2012.
Now when I am creating the billing document, the pricing condition value is showing as '0'. I checked the pricing analysis and found that the validity of the base price condition Z001 was from 10.01.2012 till 14.01.2012 in the sales order.
As the Actual Goods Issue date is taking as the 'Billing date' as well as 'Pricing Date' , the system is not able to find a valid condition type as on 22.02.2012 (GI date). The pricing type in copying control of Delivery to Billing is 'C - Copy manual pricing elements and redetermine the others'.
So I would like to know your opinion on the following.
1) Can I create the billing document using VF01, manually change the pricing date as 10.01.2012 and do the price update using rule C? Will it fetch the price based on the pricing date?
OR
2) Maintain the condition type Z001 for the GI date and do the billing?
Please let me know which is the best way to adopt?

If you have necessary authorization to change the Pricing Date in Invoice, please go ahead.
Change the Pricing date in Invoice, go to Conditions tab & update the Pricing. System will fetch Condition Records as on that date.

InterCO Billing for Stock - Pricing Date

hi,
I have the following problem:
We do an interco sale from the purchase order to delivery to goods issue to billing,
Sometimes and order is placed a couple of moths ago and we need to adjust the price to that date on the Interco billing document, however, the price date the billing document uses is the Actual Goods Issue date from the delivery. The block is greyed out and cannont be changed.
Does anyone know how we can change the pricing date on the item to pick up the correct pricing.

Our intercomapny process starts with a purchase order. that purchase carries to the delivery the Planned goods issue date. the delivery occurs some time after and the actual goods issue date is captured. the billing document takes the Actual Goods issue date. We want to be able to change that.

hi,
Click on the update button in the conditions tab in billing and select carry out new pricing. this shoud resolve your problem. But Im usat warn you that you might loose out the valeus for the conditions which has been entered manually or in certain even some condition records maintained with some specific access could have issues.
Anyways, carryo ur new pricing is the solution for you problem.
If you want the same to happen every time, you can maintian the pricing type for the above mentioned one ( I think it is B) at tyhe item level in copy control settings

Exchange rate on billing date- pricing date to be billing date

If I create a billing document then the pricing date is coming from sales order.
Exchange rate is claculated based on sales order pricing date. But my client requirement is to consider the exchange rate on billing date.

Go to VTFL, select your billing type and delivery type and click on "Item". There select your item category and click on magnifying lens on top so that you will be taken to a screen where there is a field "PricingExchRate type". Maintain "C" there and save.

Dear all
I have configured return process ie., delivery related return billing,
while taking return in retrun sales order pricing date of reference document
is copying and it should be copied into retrun billing also but it system is
taking current date as billing date in return invoice
where i have to make setting in coying controls

In copy controls item level Data VBRK/VBRP there might be 011Bill. date= Today,because of this system is taking billing date as todays,so select another routine like 007 Inv.Split (Rec/Div).

Pricing date and free goods

Hello Folks,
My understanding is Free goods is determined basically based on quantity as in quantity ordered.
The system re-reads free goods condition record in the sales order when quantities of the main item changes or when Pricing Date changes.
Based on the above, I need to clarify :
1. If free goods is based on quantity, how does a change in the pricing date affect the determination? I assume the by pricing date change, it is referring to the pricing date setting in a free goods condition record.
So, I am not sure why pricing date change requires a re-determination of the condition record for free goods.
Or is it because free goods is determined based on $ amount of goods ordered?
Moreover, its said that when Pricing is Re-Run, free goods determination is un-affected.

Hi,
Free goods can be of two types. Inclusive and Exclusive.
Inclusive discount are always value discount. What I mean is, if you buy 10 qty of an item, say 2 qty is free, then, it means, 20% off on the original price. i.e. only 8 are billed and 2 are discounted from pricing.
In exclusive free goods, you are shipping 10 qty of an item + 2 qty of the same item in addition to 10. So, 10 are billed.
When the pricing date in the sales order is changed, how will the system know whether the item being priced on a particular day should allow the free goods or not. So, free goods determination becomes necessary. Hence, it goes thro' free goods determination when you change the pricing date on the sales order.

Maintain a condition record for Rs.10/- with a validity date (only as an example) as 1st March'14 to 15th March'14. Another condition record for Rs.15/- with validity date as 16th March'14 to 31st March'14.
Now create a sale order for 500 nos. with one line item and change the pricing date as 15th March'14. Similarly, create another line item for the same material with 500 nos. and here, change the pricing date as 16th March'14 at line item level. By doing so, system would fetch the pricing in billing accordingly.
I told as per my knowledge System will bring old price only for reserved stock if you want to apply new price for reserved stock just 411 e return the stock from reservation and now create sales order

Your understanding is incorrect. System will never validate pricing based on age of the stocked material but based on validity period what you maintain in condition record.

How to change the pricing date inthe conditon record access details

Hi Team,
Please help to solve this issue.
When we create a sales order, pricing date will update as creation date and the same date will appear in the condition records access details for all the respective condition type.
In case of sales order is created with reference to Contract then pricing date will update same as from the contract pricing date.
for examaple contract created on 01.01.2014 for the same day if we create the sales order with reference contract then pricng date will update as 01.01.2014 in the sales order.
If we create the sales order example today 19.05.2015 but stil pricing date will update as 01.01.2014 (due to same date available in the contract)
Now my requirment is for one of the condition type ex ZXXX this pricing date should update as sales order creation date (Not all the condition types) in the condition record access.
Please check and let me know ho to solve this issue.
