PRINT SCREEN WITH A LOGITECH KEYBOARD

CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME I BOUGHT THIS WIRELESS LOGITECH KEYBOARD AND PAIRED IT WITH MY MAC DESKTOP COMPUTER. AM TRYING TO PRINTSCREEN BUT IT DOES NOT WANT TO. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS? THANK YOU!

Press the Shift, Command, and 3 keys to capture the whole screen.
Press the Shift, Command, and 4 keys to capture a draggable part of the screen, or follow it with the spacebar to capture a window.
Open the PNG on the desktop. Alternatively, combine either of the above with the Control key to put the screenshot onto the clipboard instead of the desktop.

  • Wireless printer interferes with my wireless keyboard

Prior to installing my wireless HP printer, I never had an issue with my logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.  But now my wireless keyboard is acting strange.  I will be typing and then certain letters and numbers will not register or during short periods, nothing will type.  The Logitech instructions does say that this issue can be caused by other wireless equipment using RF to transmit but has no solution.  If I turn the printer off and restart my computer it is fine but this is not a very convenient solution.  Is there another alternative?

I appreciate your questions. My new printer is an HP lazerjet color mfp m175nw (channel 11). My keyboard is a Logitech Cordless Desktop ex 100.  The software does not indicate a channel for the mouse but for the keyboard says channel 2 - I assume they are the same channel except that I have had no issues with the mouse, just the keyboard.  The keyboard uses a security password so it will not interfer with other devices while the mouse does not.
Are you saying the printer and keyboard are usually on the same channel?
Last night during our correspondence, I took the steps of turning off the printer, resetting the connector by holding the button 10 seconds, restarted the computer, reinstalled the keyboard and mouse sw, reconnected the keyboard and controller, set the security password for the keyboard and  turned the printer back on.  So far so good - no skipping and repeating of letters and numbers.

  • MSI k8n neo4 platinum hangs in post screen with saitek eclipse keyboard

I've had my board for almost a year now, with no problems, well almost.  I had a problem with Raid 0  but we won't go there now.  I just purchased a Saitek Eclipse illuminated keyboard to replace my old Microsoft Internet pro. The Microsoft board is PS2 and the Eclipse is USB.  I noticed that when I removed the Microsoft keyboard and plugged in the eclipse that when I rebooted, it took almost 4 minutes for the windows splash screen to start. With the PS2 board plugged in my boot time was less than 2 minutes.  I've looked at just about everything, and this includes Saitek support who are at a total loss on this problem to.  So I went to google and low and behold it lead me to here.  I've read a lot of post about keyboard problems, but they tended to be ps2 related. This is a USB issue. The old keyboard still gets my system up in no time flat. Can anybody shed some light on this issue cause it's driving me crazy!!!!  I still have my microsoft optical mouse hooked up until my Logitech G5 gets here, in a couple of days. I have not had any other isuues with USB connections, that includes a Nostromo game pad, printer , joystick and card reader.

Welll I'm screwed now. I tried all of the things you guys recommended, everything was cool. I decided to check my bios version through live update. I had 1.50 and live update had 1.90 ready to go, so I proceeded to flash the bios using the windows method. This included making a recovery disk.  Well it flashed ok, everything seemed to go well up to the point where it said to restart the system.   This is were it goes bad.  Upon reboot my screen was black, not even tinted slightly and my system never came back. I can't even get it to eat the recovery floppy. I have Corsair twinx memory with the fancy LEDS and they just stay on the first two lights.  I can't even get the  Cd drive to take the mobo disk.   It's late and I'm titally bumed, I knwo I won't get to sleep tonight....... I know I have to shitcan this mobo now and totally restart all over...............thanks for the replies on the lousy keyboard problem , at this point I wish I never even bought it.

  • [HELIX] Black screen with HDMI over keyboard dock

Hi everyone, I just came across a weird issue with my Helix: When I connect my Helix including keyboard dock via HDMI to my TV the screen stays black. I checked following things: - Sound is working over TV - Screen connection is detected by Helix and also by TV (otherwise screen would be blue) - HDMI connection is working if I directly connect the tablet with the same adapter to the TV - RGB adapter is working fine also inclunding the dock I have the current driver and BIOS updates installed. Does anyone encounter the same issue or knows how to solve it? Might be either a driver or HW issue with the dock I suspect. Thanks for any input on this! Markus

If I do not use the Win-P or Ctrl-F7 key combination to change it to Duplicate Screen, then it may go automatically to "Second Screen only" which seems to be occurring in your situation.
If the setting wont change after the screen goes blank, then it could b a driver issue.  If you opted the latest device driver like I did, and this still happens, I'd say it is a driver issue. However, when I made a presentation to day, it automatically switch to the proper "Duplicate setting" screen option. So perhaps yours is an intermittent problem.
Go to control Panel, Power Options, then Click on Windows Mobility Center at the bottom of the page. You will displays and toggles for External displays and for presenter mode right there. Click those to see if you get any changes. You can see if your computer thinks a second screen is attached or not, and it you are in projection mode or not.
Does the computer go back to normal after disengaging the HDMI? If so, set it to duplicate screens and then re-connect it, if the screen goes dark there must be another setting that is off.
If you are using the WiDi software that might also be the culprit, check those settings. Hope this helps in some way.
I discovered on mine that I could run a Powerpoint presentation fine, but when I try to switch over into presenting a movie clip or website, it would only show my screen saver. I still needed to use the Win-P or Cntrl-F7 key toggle to send the signal for those applications. Just seems weird, it just an idiosyncrasy I gather.

  • Mac hardware: How do i print screen on a PC with a Mac Keyboard??

I have a Apple Mac Pro, but when I'm booted directly into Windows Vista (using Boot Camp) how do I do a Print Screen?
The Apple Keyboard is missing the "Print Screen", "Scroll Lock", and "Pause/Break" keys that a normal PC Keyboard has.
I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate x64, and apparently this issue has NEVER been addressed or fixed by Apple, because I've seen posts dating back over 4 1/2 years on this same issue/problem, and I've seen fixes for Windows XP, but nothing for Vista. I found this article addressing the issue:
    http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7592_102-0.html?forumID=25&threadID=12105&messageID= 137974
I did find this software application, but it only works on Windows XP (not Vista):

Is there any Easy way to Map and allow the use of Apple keyboards in Windows Vista?
AppleKeys allows the use of Apple keyboards on a Windows machine. It properly emulates the F13 - F15 keys to "print screen, scroll lock, and pause/break" accordingly.
Why hasn't Apple just added a "Keyboard Emulator" in the Boot Camp client that gets installed Vista? I'm currently running Boot Camp client version 2.1, why doesn't Apple just add a keyboard emulator/keyboard mapper inside the Boot Camp version 2.1 client?
This way the F13-F15 keys will automatically emulate the "print screen, scroll lock, and pause/break" keys properly like on a PC keyboard.
I've searched everything, and this has turned into such a time consume and HEADACHE of a project, and I'm really disappointed that Apple has "dropped the ball" on something so simple.
If a third party person, had to create the "Apple Keys" program (to run under Windows XP) you'd think that this is a problem, and that Apple would finally address this problem?
Could someone from Apple, please take the time and fix this? At least copy, or make something similar to the "Apple Keys" program that automatically install inside the Boot Camp client, so when a person installs Windows Vista, and the Boot Camp client installs inside Windows Vista it will automatically run a keyboard emulator (similar to Apple Keys) so that you can properly use the F13-F15 keys on the Apple Keyboard as "Print Screen", "Scroll Lock" and "Pause/Break".
Could Apple do this, and push out a Boot Camp Version 2.2 update with this feature added to Boot Camp? I would greatly appreciate it, as would most of the other Windows Vista users I'm sure.
Apple Keys does not work for Windows Vista, only Windows XP and I've been unable to find an alternative Fix, and I wish that Apple developers would just get off their tail and finally FIX this problem!
C'mon guys, you've known about this 4 1/2+ years, and why does it take some third-party person to create an application like "Apple Keys" just to fix the issue?
Well the author of that program is no longer available, the website is gone, and I've been unable to find a way to contact him (or ask him to update his program for Windows Vista), but all these headaches shouldn't be necessary. All this stuff should just "WORK" right out of the box, and Apple developers really should have thought of this, and just added something this simple to Boot Camp plugin/client, that way when the Boot Camp 2.1 installs inside of Windows Vista, it will install the Apple Keyboard Emulator which will automatically emulate the PC keyboard, and emulate the F13-F15 keys as "Print Screen, Scroll Lock, Pause/Break". The normal PC keyboard doesn't even have a "F13-F15 keys" and only goes up to F12, so you would think that Apple could just do something SIMPLE like emulate the keys on the PC Keyboard, and just use the F13-F15 keys as the "Print Screen, Scroll Lock, and Pause/Break" keys.
I would greatly appreciate it if a Apple Developer could begin working on this, and just push it out as a Boot Camp Version 2.2 update. So that it will fix these problems for all Apple/Windows Boot Camp users running Vista.
    Thank-you!

AppleKeys allows the use of Apple keyboards on a Windows machine. It properly emulates the F13 - F15 keys to "print screen, scroll lock, and pause/break" accordingly. Unfortunately AppleKeys only works on Windows XP and earlier, and it has been discontinued by the author.
Why hasn't something as simple as this been addressed or FIXED by Apple?
Why hasn't Apple just added a simple "Keyboard Emulator" (identical to AppleKeys) inside the Boot Camp client that automatically gets installed on Vista or Windows XP? I'm currently running Boot Camp client version 2.1 in Vista Ultimate x64, why doesn't Apple just add a keyboard emulator/keyboard mapper inside the Boot Camp version 2.1 client? So that the Apple Keyboard properly emulates the F13 - F15 keys to "print screen, scroll lock, and pause/break" automatically when the Boot Camp client is installed in Vista?
Are the Apple Developers "sleeping on the job"? Surely something SO SIMPLE wouldn't be hard to add or fix. VMWare Tools guys seem to do a great job, I would think that Apple would begin working on a fix for this, and finally address the issue and fix this. Give us a client application that we can install that will work on Windows XP and Windows Vista that will allow our Apple Keyboards to map/emulate a Windows PC Keyboard inside Windows XP or Windows Vista automatically. This could easily be done when Vista installs Boot Camp client (automatically) inside of Vista, Apple could then install a PC Keyboard emulator to support the Apple Keyboard that would map/emulate the F13-F15 keys on a Apple keyboard to the standard "Print Screen, Scroll Lock, and Pause/Break" keys on a PC Keyboard.
C'mon Apple, please just fix this problem and make life a little easier on your users. I just bought a Mac Pro, and I'm a new Apple Mac user and I'm just really disappointed that something so simple still hasn't been addressed or FIXED by Apple. It should be automatic, and I shouldn't have to hunt and search the internet trying to find a solution, just to fix something so simple.
Apple Developers really dropped the ball here, and I would like to see them create an Apple Keyboard Client that will automatically be installed in Windows XP or Windows Vista that will properly map/emulate the PC Keyboard, so that the F13-F15 keys can be properly used as "Print Screen, Scroll Lock, Pause/Break".
Thank-you, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this issue!

  • "Print Screen" in Windows

How do you "Print Screen" when in Windows version on the MacBook? I know that for the Mac version we use Apple + Shift + 3; but what is the equivalent on the PC side? With no "Print Screen" key on the keyboard - what is the shortcut?
    Desperate for help! Thanks!

    Sadly there isn't one; try remap.exe -- not 100% sure it'll help, but it's worth a go.

  • Saving a screen shot similar to "Alt + print screen" for PC's...

As I am transitioning from a PC to a Mac, and would like to be able to save a screen shot, similar to the print screen button on PC keyboards, how do I do this now?
If I would like to save the screen shot to be able to edit it in a graphics software, such as Photoshop or save it as a JPEG to be able to insert it in a document, how do you do that now? I went to File -> Save As and my only options are Web Archive and Page Source.
    Please let me know.

Command - shift - 4 and drag a square around what you want to capture
Command - shift - 3 capture of whole screen
each will put a .png on the desktop which can open in Preview
Additionally, you can change the default format of the screenshot as outlined in this article. Alternatively, adding "ctrl" to either of the keyboard combinations sends the screenshot to your clipboard, allowing you to paste it into an editor of your choice.

  • Print screen/folder contents

I would like to print a list of all the contents in a folder (not the documents themselves, just the list of contents). I do not have a print screen button on my keyboard. Is there a way to do this? Thank you.

Resize the window and click triangles so that everything you want to print is visible on the screen, and then press the Shift, Command, and 4 keys simultaneously. Next, press the space bar, click in the window, open the newly created file on your desktop, which is a PNG by default in Tiger, and print it.

  • How do I load a print screen image into a picture indicator?

    Hi,
I am trying to load a printscreen image into a picture indicator without first saving it. I am currently doing it by acquiring and saving a print screen image, then reloading and displaying the bitmap file. This works, but it is not elegant and the colors are displayed wrong. (The SnapView.vi is from the G Toolbox for LabVIEW) Thanks for your help.

    Hello –
When you push the print screen button in your keyboard, the image is send (temporarily stored) to the clipboard.
You could call the Windows API to recover that image and send it to an indicator in the front panel. This Example Program can show you how to make Windows API calls; I think you might find it useful to get started in programming your application.
    Hope this helps.
