Print Slides With Notes: change size/layout of elements?

Is there any way to change the template Keynote uses when printing Slides With Notes? I'd like to reduce the size of the slide & increase the size of the Notes box.

Here is a somewhat klunky workaround that I use
First make a custom paper size that is bigger than the paper you will end up printing to (I use 8 1/2 by 16 to print to 5 1/2 by 8 1/2)
When you go to print the keynote file change to this paper size in page setup
Then instead of printing save to a pdf file
Open the pdf with Adobe Acrobat Reader
Set the paper size to the size you actually want in the page setup dialog
Go to the copies and pages drop down menu and select "paper handling"
Click the "reduce to fit" item
Print the file
If anyone has a simpler way I would love to know it too!

I make presentations with really long presenters notes. During presentation I can scroll the presenters notes on screen with U and D, but my problem is when printing the slides with notes, only the part of the notes that is shown on screen is printing, so I sometimes half of the note section on a slide.
Is there a work around, or is it just the way life is?

I too am having the same issue. I am trying to print out a monthly calendar like I see on the screen. At the most on any given day I have 4 lines of text. It shows on the screen but when I print it puts 3 little dots above that particular day to let me know there is more to it and refuses to print more than 3 items. I have tried with different page set ups and all I am doing is wasting ink. What's worse, is that there is PLENTY of room left on the paper. There is so much room between the month label and where the calendar starts there certainly has to be a way to adjust this. (I would hope!) Anyone please help! Thanks in advance.

Printing slides with notes

I successfully imported a presentation from Power Point to Keynote 4.1. When I went to print individual slides with notes, only a portion of the background graphic was printed and none of the foreground slide material printed. The slide had the following error message
ERROR: undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND: @=U77LJNM;i,UPtn4
STACK:
The same slides print fine in PowerPoint.
Anyone seen this problem? Anyone have a solution?

I solved my own problem. The answer was right under my nose.

Printing slides with Word

I work with Captivate 3 and I'm trying to print slides with
word. I'm working with Flash Player 3 as well.
Each time, a error message appears saying that Word could be
occupied.... And it's not the case.
As anybody had the same problem ?

Selection tool. now it does not change sizes

Just installed the 14.1 Illustrator and realized that the selection tool (black arrow) does not change size of shapes / paths any more. I thought that there would be control in Preferences or View to activate it, but I have not been able to find it. Please help find it.

I am afraid you have come across the Live Rectangle bug which is limited to the MAC versions starting with 10.7 and 10.8, but not 10.9 (Mavericks).
So a switch to Mavericks with a reinstallation might be the way to solve it here and now.
To get round it in each case, it is possible to Expand the Live Rectangles to get normal old fashioned rectangles, or to Pathfinder>Unite, or to use the Scale Tool.
A more permanent way round that is to create normal old fashioned rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

Eprint printed .doc with a wrong size!!

my printer is C310a
when i printed my A4 .doc document, it printed out with a wrong size and it's all of them are bigger than the actual size!
Please help me to slove this.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that when printing a .doc type document with your Photosmart C310a printer, that the font of document seems to be larger than requested.
The font and its size are set by the program you are using and/or the program used to create the document. If you need to change the font and its size open the document in a program where you can edit the font. Mostly likely this document would have been created using Microsoft Word or Microsoft WordPad and you can use either of them to modify the font size.

Theme Editor, changing size of all elements

Hi all,
I'd like to enlarge the font size of all elements in my WebDynpro ABAP application.
I made a copy of sap_tradeshow in the stand-alone Theme Editor and set the parameter "Base Font Size" for "Text" in "Global Styles Content Area" to xx-large. The help for this parameter says that this would have the same effect as enlarging the font size in the Browser.
Setting the parameter enlarges most of the texts and elements like buttons. Unfortunately the text in tables, listboxes and comboboxes is still small.
Does anybody know how to change the size of these elements?

Not sure what went wrong the first time I attempted to resize
the ScrollPane elements - but on a second attempt, this all seemed
to work fine. I had to individually set the Properties on each
changed element to "Export in First Frame", but apart from that, It
was easy in the end. I now have bright turquoise 40x40 pixel up and
down arrows and thumb-bar to match!

I have created a custom page size (very small) for printing an advertise I had to print, and now after that operation all the pages I ask to print to any printer are automatically printed in that setup, and sometimes even if I change to A4 manually, the page changes but the borders of the page still remain the old one (result i can not print). How can I cancel the custom page size I created, so that my printers restart to print automatically in A4?

The page will not change size

I need to take the size of my page from 8.5X11 down to 5.25x8 on the pdf. the file isn't being printed out so the size needs to reflect on screen. when i try and resize the file it doesn't allow it, and when i re sized the word doc it came from the file still showed as 8.5x11... any reason why i can't resize?

ALSO this is a pdf that is being sent for printing. Prior to sending i need it to be a smaller size than the 8.5x11. This question has nothing to do with the print page set-up for printing. The normal crop procedure is not letting me do anything, and the acrobat version is 9 pro running on vista. seems like a normal capability but something is awry... thank you again for your time

Can not change size the itunes screen cannot read all opitions

Are you trying to do this through iTunes on your iPad? If you are, you can't. You sync photos over to iPad from your computer, with your iPad connected to iTunes. To answer your question about changing the size of the screen, take your thunb and forefinger and swipe them apart to enlarge the page. The best way to describe this would be to take your thumb and forefinger and put them on the page with both fingers touching each other and move both fingers at the same time away from each other.

Adobe Printer Preferences do not change - Back to default

We have Acrobat 8.1 installed on an XP and 2003 Server station. The printer preferences were changed to print to pdf without prompting for a file name, delete logs, etc. We we open an application like notepad and print to the PDF printer all the printer preferences are applied. However, when an application like MSF (Microsoft Shared Fax) uses the printer to print faxes to pdf, the pdf used the default Adobe printer preferences instead of the preferences set on the PDF Printer. This locks up the computer because the PDF Printer prompts for a file name and location, but the prompt window is suppressed, and therefore the machine locks up with no posibility of removing the print job from the spooler.
How can I force Microsoft Shared Fax to use the preferences set in the PDF Printer, instead of it using the defaul values. Where in the registry is this located?

I will not address the server issue, though you need to have proper license for this use (not the standard out-of-the-box license). As far as the settings, you should set them in the Adobe PDF printer properties. They may fail across a network connection. Network issues have long been problems for some folks using Acrobat.

Printing document with Notes/Comments and underlined/highlighted text

Dear all,
I have been reading a document and highlighted & underlined parts of it.
In addition I also inserted notes.
Now when trying to print the document with the "summarize comments function" (I translate this from the
german version so there it might be called somewhat differently in english) in the print menue, I receive a the
original document plus attached several pages including my notes (now numbered) PLUS entries for every line I highlighted, underlined etc.
Evidently I only want the text of my comments, not empty entries for each line I have highlighted.
To be clear, I would like to keep the text highlighted / underlined - but I don't need the
entries for that in the appended section. A document of 18 pages otherwise suddently gets 48 pages...(with only
a few added notes).
I have to say I am somewhat puzzled how difficult it is to sort this out. Thought that must be
something rather trival (or am I blind and make a silly mistake)?

many thanks for your swift response. Did I understand you correctly - there is no way to keep all the comments (underlined/highlighted/stick notes) in the text and only inlcude the content of the sticky notes at the end of the document? If I filter, as suggested by you, then the underlined/highlighted parts will not show up in the appended pages (that's good) - but they are also not longer visible in the main text (that's bad...).
I would have thought what I am trying is rather ordinary - Highlighting/underlining text and adding comments. And when I print the document, i would like to get the edited text plus the content of the comments (sticky notes). (And not an empty entry for all highlighted/underlined words). I am somewhat puzzled.

Quiz Slide Buttons - not holding size in live slide

I apologize if this has been asked many time. I searched the discussions and found nothing.
My quiz slide buttons, CLEAR, BACK, NEXT, SUBMIT are for some reason now smaller in dimension than they were in my project. Now ALL quiz slides render them very small as a default. Whenever I adjust them, both in the Master slide design and in the filmstrip breakpoint slides they do not hold their shape or dimension sizes I adjust them to. The view and size in the Master slide looks right but when I go to FilmStrip they are small. They also are left justified instead of center.
I went into the Themes/Object Style Manager and tried to make adjustment there. It will not give me an option to center the text or adjust the size of the buttons. I am using the "Default Quiz Button Style". The way it was originally provided in Captivate settings.
I also even tried to override this by creating my own image buttons which were of the same dimenstion that the default settings Captivate has for the Default Quiz Button Style which were 170x43px. Even those are shrinking very small.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have only the font size available to adjust. I do not see any alignment choices. Please see screen shot.

Printer Settings will not change

My printer default settings are stuck at 60% size, and I have attmpeted to modify the default settings and create new presets, and it always reverts to 60%. I just bought a new printer and it is still doing the same thing. If anyone can offer any advice how I may solve this problem I would be so grateful. I am using an iMac OS 10.7.5

PDFing a PowerPoint presentation (slides) in Notes Page print layout - is it possible?

I have a PowerPoint presentation that I would like to disseminate as slides AND as a booklet. I used the Slides Master to format the slides, and I used Notes Master to create the booklet. In PowerPoint, I can, by default, print the slides. I can also print the booklet by changing the layout to Notes Pages, and everything looks great.
Now on to PDF.
I can, by default, create a PDF of the presentation with Print > Print Layout > Full Page Slides (default).
But Acrobat XI Pro ignores my attempt to create a PDF of the Notes Page View (the booklet) with Print > Print Layout >Notes Pages.
Has anyone succeeded in getting a PDF of anything other than the standard PowerPoint slide view?

I found an alternative but circuitous way of achieving the desired result. In PowerPoint I opened, then I printed the PPT presentationto a PDF selecting the Notes Page option instead of Full Slide. By then using a PDF converter to convert it back to PPT I was able to insert the PPT as is. In other words it "looks" just like the PPT Notes Page view, which is exactly what I wanted. The code snippet and notes were intact.
