Print the attachements added in the adobe form

Hi,
I added the attachments in the adobe form.But when ever i print this adobe form , i want to make sure that the attachments are also printed in addition to the original adobe form.
Is there any automatic way of doign it or any alternatives to avoid adding it as an attachment ,
i have a word document stored in the database.
so when ever i print my form need to print the document sthat are stored in the database also.

We are just starting our SAP project and are looking at the possibility to use Adobe forms for generating and printing our forms, like purchase orders, invoices etc.
My Question is:
1. Is this possible / adviseable ?

As far I know SAP is going to stop support for SAPScript in coming years (I don't know exact dates). It is pretty much advisable to use Adobe Print Forms.

We can use Adobe Print Forms where ever we can able to use SApscripts/PDF print Forms.
3. What other options do we have - do we need to settle with SAP Script / Smartforms ?
It is better to settle with Adobe forms rather than using SAPscript/Smart forms. One of the main reason for this is maintainance is much easier than SAPscript/Smart forms.
But remember that Java Stack need to be installed in order to use Adobe Forms.

Is it possible to make the attachment icon on my journals form a compulsary step when creating a new manual journal entry?

Our company uses EBS 11.5.10.2. The company has a policy whereby any new manual journal needs to have the supporting documentation attached to it, using the attachment icon in the task bar.
Users sometimes forget to do this, though. This has now prompted management to request that we try and make this process of attaching a document when creating a new manual journal compulsary to the process.
Is this possible on the current version we are running on?

Well, that depends on if you are using client/server or web. Currently there is a bug being investigated, which is preventing the cursor size from being altered. For client/server, do the following on the client machine (assuming Windows):
Control Panel > Accessibility Options > Display > Cursor Width
By increasing the width, the cursor will be more visible. The same is expected to work on the web, but currently is problematic and being investigated.

Problem in printing amount in different currencies in adobe form

Hi All,
I have a requirement to print the amount as space for thousand seperator and comma for decimals.
I have set the pattern format such that the amount is printing in below format as required.
Locale---Italian.
Space as thousand seperator and comma as decimal seperator.
for example 1 234,45
As some of the Currencies will not have decimals, now users would like to print amount without decimals. For example in my case amount printing in KRW ( Korean currency ) is also similar to the above format which is wrong.
for example Now amount is printing as 55 000,00. But actually it should be 550 000. Similarly for JPY currency also, as it doesnot haves decimals ( checked in TCURX table ).
I have written some logic in the interface. below is the logic.
WRITE:
    wa_mhnd1-wrshb to wa_item-wrshb CURRENCY WA_ITEM-WAERS.
*READ TABLE lt_tcurx INTO lwa_tcurx WITH KEY currkey = wa_item-waers BINARY SEARCH.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
IF lwa_tcurx-currdec = '0'.
REPLACE ',' WITH SPACE INTO WA_ITEM-WRSHB.
REPLACE ',' WITH SPACE INTO WA_ITEM-WRSHB.
else.
   REPLACE ',' WITH SPACE INTO WA_ITEM-WRSHB.
    REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '.' in wa_item-wrshb WITH ','.

a. when the write statement gets executed amount will be in ,. ( 1,234.45 )format. Then my logic gets executed correctly. In this company code is CH10 ( EUR ) and KR10.
b. But sometimes after the write statement gets executed amount will be in ., format ( 1.234.45 ). In this case my logic works, but gives the wrong value. In this case company code is VN10 ( EUR )
In both the cases currency is EUR.
Will the decimal format change accordingly based on the company code code currency.Can anyone please tell me why write statement behaved differently.
Do I need to change any locale in the adobe form, or any other logic to be written in interface. ? I am trying it out from long time, but not able to fix it. I will have to fix it ASAP.
Can anyone kindly please help me how to achieve this ?

I dont know why the above write statement is behaving differently. In one case the value is shown as 1,234.00, but in another test case it shows 1.234,00.
In both the test cases the currency is 'EUR'. In case if the above write statement works correctly, my issue will be solved.
Can anyone tell me why the write statement is behaving differently. Will the currency be dependent on any other factor ( for example company code,customer )
I would like to fix this ASAP.

How to display the Attachment(picture) on the list item page?

I have attached a picture to the list item and then when I click the item, there is a link of the attachment but not the picture graphics! I want to display the picture on the list item page and how to do it?

Using few easy steps you can set image in your out of the box List View, Edit and View Item Page.
1. Create one Picture type Column in your list.
2. Just create one Event Handler with Item

Thank you. Here's the strange part, it did work at one time but when the last IOS upgrade occured, that's when the issue started.

Printing all text inside the scrollbar in Text Field -Adobe Form

Hello,
I'm creating a form in Adobe Designer 7.0 with a Text Field that allows the user to enter as much information as they want. How do I set it to so that when the form is printed all the information that's entered also prints? Right now it only prints what's visible on the text box that I've defined. I have set the Text Field to Allow Multiple Line and Expand to Fit.

Sure, you could do that fairly easily with just a bit JavaScript. It would have to be done by someone with Acrobat who receives the filled-in form. The text from the fields could be extracted and placed in a text file attachment that you create with JavaScript, and then extract the file attachment.

For this, you can specify just the fields you want to include, so you don't have to bother with all of the fields in the form being included.

Facing the Error while opening the PDF Document generated by Adobe Forms

I have created an Custom Adobe Form and calling this form through a Custom Program and generating the PDF and could able to download on to my desktop but when i am tyring to open it i m facing the below Error.
"There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired" .
Please help me in this regard ASAP.

Name of the creator missing when archiving Adobe Form

i have an problem when i archiving an adobe form after printing. I miss the name of the creator but i cannot find the arc_params like i find them when i'm printing with sap script.

Hi,
Saving the PDF to a set name is considered a security concern by Adobe. In order to achieve it you would need a trusted function, inside a JavaScript file. This .js file would be in a set folder on EVERYONE'S computer. This makes it difficult to deploy and maintain.

Unable to fetch data for the second time in an ADOBE form

I am creating a PDF form and its data is based on the output parameter of an interface, when i drag and drop an object from the data view into the body page twice, only the first time the value is getting printed and from the second time it is not printing any data.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus will not print the attached file in the e-mail

Dear support team,
I have installed the software and setup HP eprint according the manual respectively the advices in HP-Connected however if I send an e-mail to [edited by Moderator] the printer 8600 PRO PLUS will not print the attached file in this case a PDF. But the text inside the e-mail will printed.
Any recommends?

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that the attachment to an email sent to your Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer’s ePrint email address did not print.
After the PDF didn’t print, did you log into your HP Connected account? I’m curious as to what HP Connected indicated about the print job. I have included the ePrint Job Did Not Print document. It has several causes and solutions as to why the PDF didn’t print.

NewLine Character in the String received from Interactive Adobe Form

Hello Experts,
Following is the issue we have with interactive Adobe Form
We have a text area within the form. User enters the text in multiple lines in this text area.
We are calling a backend function module designed in SE37 that accepts and process the data from the adobe form. We are also processing the string data user enters in the text area.
When we receive the string from the form, the newline character within the string is displayed as '#' in the debugger. We tried splitting this string using cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline and cl_abap_char_utilities=>cr_lf but NO luck. Though in the debugger we see cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline as '#' in the debugger and also '#' is present within the string, for some reason when string is processed to find cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline, we can find/locate it.
Because ABAP code is not able to identify the newline character within the string received from Adobe form, we are not able to maintain the formatting of the string as it was entered in the form.
Any help to resolve this issue is appreciated.

I was going through your issue, and I feel this is something you can do with scripting. Basically you should read whole string and find the new line character and replace with a space or comma, as per your requirment.
Do like following:
In the exit event of the field select java script and write following code:
var strng = this.rawValue;
strng.replace(/\n/g, " ");
above im reaplcing new line with a space.
I think it should work I have not tested it. Pls update if you test it .

I have a requirement to change the position of subform(y co-ordinate) in offline adobe forms.
My subform is positioned and my code is:
this.y = "10 in".
Though this question has been answered a few times,I could not find the answer in any of them.

Presenter doesn't have the same functionality for the TOC as Captivate. There is some wizardry that can be done if you want to adjust the look of the slide list.
