Printer Driver for HP Photosmart 7520 for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and 10.3 and 10.5

I just purchased a new HP Photosmart 7520 printer. One of my Macs at home is an iMac G5 that is running Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. It connects to the HP printer via Wi-Fi. HP does not provide drivers for Mac OS 10.4 for the Photosmart 7520 printer. I tried all sorts of old HP drivers and finally found one that worked, so I figured I would post here to help out anyone else who is trying to solve the same problem. The driver download you need is the OS 10.4 driver for the Photosmart C7250 All-In-One printer. Here is the link to the download page:

After downloading and installing the drivers, I ran the HP Printer Setup Utility. It was not able to detect my printer. I had to go to System Preferences on my Mac and add the printer manually in the Print & Fax control panel. The Print & Fax control panel was not able to auto-select the correct driver to use, so I selected "HP" from the "Print Using" drop-down list, and then selected "HP Photosmart D7400 Series" from the "Model" list. That worked for me. Good luck!
According to the driver download page, this driver will work for Mac OS X v10.3.9, v10.4 and v10.5

How to install driver for HP photosmart 7520 on MacOSX 10.5.8???

My husband does basic printing of documents. His computer is a MAC OSX 10.5.8. We have a new HP Photosmart 7520 printer which requires 10.6 minimum.
Is it possible to get a driver for this printer for him, that will allow him to access the printer, without getting a new computer!! ?? To simply be able to print and fax and scan.. he rarely does photos.
Please Help, as of course, he is quite frustrated, and as a result, so am I!!

Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you having trouble installing drivers with your printer. It is true that this printer only supports Mac OS X 10.6 as the minimum requirement for the HP Photosmart 7520.
As the Operating System is older than when the printer came out, there currently isn't a driver available. However, here is a list of printers that can be used with Mac OS X 10.5.8. Archived - Mac OS X 10.5.3: Printer drivers included in the HP Printer Driver Update v1.1.1. Or you can try upgrading the Operating System to Mac OS X 10.6.

Printer cartridge for HP Photosmart 7520

I bought a new HP Photosmart 7520. When changing the photo black inkt cartridge I used one of the catridges I bought some time ago for my former printer. The cartridge is from the 364 series, the production date (?) stamped on the box reads IRELAND Oct 2010. The printer does not accept the cartridge displaying an error message which (translated from Dutch) reads: Incompatible older generation cartridge installed. Does this mean that I have to through away the 364 cartridges I still have left?

If you have Windows 8 installed on your computer, try running Windows Update from the Control Panel. I couldn't locate a driver for the printer anywhere.

ICC profiles for HP Photosmart 7520 from other manufacturers

I am looking for ICC profiles from other manufacturers for a HP Photosmart 7520. I have been searching days now and have found nothing for my printer.
Where can I find other manufacturers ICC profiles if they are available? OR if there are none profided, why?

I understand you have a Photosmart 7520 that you're wanting different ICC profiles for. I will do my best to guide you in this.
This isn't something that we support, but in doing a bit of research I was able to find a link to Adobe ICC Profile, and this International Color Consortium page that has a few different suggestions.

I am trying to reach live chat for a connection issue which I dealt with last week with my Photosmart 7520. I have case number and my printer is under warrenty.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Is there a workaround for a print driver to run on Lion for an old Xerox Workcenter M15i

I have an older Xerox Workcenter M15i. I am trying to use this printer using a new macbook pro running lion. The Xerox web site does not offer a print driver. Does anyone know of a workaround?

How can I find out my driver version of my Photosmart 7520 printer? I'm planning to upgrade my computer to Mac 10.8. I am now running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I don't know if I have to upgrad the driver or not.

Driver for HP Photosmart 7510 for Mac OSX 10.8.4

Hi All,
I have an HP Photosmart printer and the drivers won't install on my new MacBookPro which has Mac OSX 10.8.4
I am unable to find any drivers on HP support for this OS. The drivers installed without any problems on my recent iMac which had OSX Lion. Can anyone help me with an answer. I can use the printer wirelessly with my iPad 3rd Gen, iPad Mini, and iPod Touch 4th Gen. Any assistance wolud be fantastic.

Download and install the drivers below, be sure to select HP Recommended Software while installing:

Once the installation completes reboot your Mac and run Software Update to ensure the latest drivers are installed.

Setup cartridge for the Photosmart 7520.

My question is about the setup cartridge. After the initial setup, do you leave that cartridge in or take it out? When I check my ink levels, it's the only one that shows LOW....is that normal?

The setup cartridges are sent to initialize the printer when you install it for the first time. And these are complimentary cartridges sent along with the printer so it won't have much of ink compared to a normal ink cartridges and it is perfectly fine and use the cartridges until it is completed out.

The EWS is the Embedded Web Server. This is the internal website created for the printer whenever it is connected to a network.
To access the EWS:
* Obtain the IP address of the printer from the front panel of the unit
* Open preferred web browsing program
* Type the IP address in the URL bar and press Enter to access the page

Can't print color to HP Photosmart 7520 from MacbookPro

I have been unable to print color to my HP printer from my Macbook Pro. All prints come out in black and white regardless of what program they are printed from. It it not a printer problem as I am able to print from my iPad in color. Running OS X 10.6.8. Any ideas?

Have you checked out all of the settings on the printer to make sure that you don't, somewhere, have Print as Grayscale ticked? I know that's an option for my Canon and I have several printer settings setup to print in grayscale on a variety of media and sizes.

No, the installation will fail by using the drivers for 10.5, the printer is incompatible with Lion:

However you may give a try to the 3rd party HPIJS print drivers, those seems to support the printer and compatible with Lion.
Be sure to install any of the 3 required downloads prior adding the printer by selecting the driver by HPIJS:
