    Printer is not printing or coping.  Error code on printer is 0xb948b1a2.  Been through the help step one of unplugging USB, removing cartridges, turning off printer and it did not work.
    Any suggestions?

    To try and resolve the error, if any object is placed in front of the machine, please remove it.  Next, please open the paper output tray gently, then turn the power off and back on.  If the error still appears, please turn off the machine, unplug the power cord from the power supply and leave it unplugged for 10 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it back on.  If the error persists, the printer will require servicing..  Please call or email us using one of the methods on the Contact Us page for servicing options available to you.

    I have horizontal streaks on my prints. When i try to print a Print Quality Report page I get this error code. I've reinstalled the driver and reinstalled the cartridges. I've reset the printer. Any help?

    I am sorry to read that you are seeing an error code and also having print quality issues with your Deskjet 3520. I will certainly try to help you!
    I have a couple of suggestions for you to troubleshoot, however, if the issue persists I would then recommend calling HP's Technical Support to see about your other options.
    First of all, try this guide to reset your printer: An Alphanumeric Code (Example: '0x......' or 'C2......') Displays on the Front Panel When Printing

    I HAVE A MX860 PRINTER WITH AN ERROR CODE OF B200. IT HAPPENED WHILST PRINTING A 50 PAGE PLUS DUPLEX DOCUMENT. WHAT DOES THIS ERROR CODE SIGNIFY?

    Ref my MX860. So... I did NOT wash head or anything. I opened cover, shoved print head manually to left all the way. Rapidly pushed "on" button a bunch of times until unit beeped back at me with funny sounds and went completely dead... Well, before throwing out the second story window, I then rapidly, pushed "on" 5 or 6 times and noticed the print head moved to the right. I shut the deck and waited... and waited... the 'infamous' Canon 'I'm gonna print, no wait, wait, really, I am, in a minute, wait, wait, listen to my sweet sounds, wait, I'm fixin' to, wait". And then it happened! Everything got real quiet and my LCD screen popped up, looking totally normal. So far, it prints, copies and will send a fax. Try it, sure won't hurt, and it seems to have fixed mine :-)

    Based on my research, we always receive Windows Update error 80070003 when we check for updates. In this scenario, we need to remove the temporary files that Windows uses to identify updates for our computer. To remove the temporary files, stop the Windows
    Update service, delete the temporary update files, restart the Windows Update service, and then try to check for Windows updates again.

    when I want to print something from my Dell printer, and I click on properties, (so I can print in black and white), Firefox now crashes. Never happened in the past.

    Well, Jim, we are going to run through a clean uninstallation and reinstallation of your printer. If this does not work, we are going to take another step down the road, but I will need to know if your PC is manufactured by HP or by another maker. Anywho, moving on with the task at hand ... 
    First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it. Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer. 
    In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it. 
    Then follow this link to download the full feature software and drivers for the printer:

    I understand that you're getting the error 'Unable to add print driver hpfax1, error code 87' when installing your HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer on your Windows 7 computer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this install issue. Thank you for including all of the troubleshooting steps that you have completed prior to reaching out for support. At this time I am going to walk you through some additional software and driver troubleshooting steps. Please follow all of the steps below.  If you're using your HP Laserjet through a USB Cable connection, please disconnect that cable now.  Step one: Remove Driver: 1. Click on your Start menu 2. Select Control Panel 3. Select Programs and Features 4. When Programs and Features opens a list of programs installed on your computer will populate. Click on the 'Installed ON' tab at the top to change the date so the recently installed items show at the top. This will make it easier to manually locate the three HP Laserjet items you need to uninstall.  5. Next, look for the HP LJ M1530 MFP Series HP Scan, HPLaserJetHelp_LearnCenter, and HP LaserJet Professional M1530 MFP Series. If you see any 3 of these, or all 3 of these items, please click on them and select Uninstall.   Once you have confirmed that those three items have been uninstalled, please close Programs and Features and proceed to the next step.   Step 2: Clear Temp Files:  Click on your Start menuIn the 'search programs and files' box located right above Start after you click on it, type %temp% and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will now highlight.Select the 'delete' button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains temporary internet files. No actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting the Temp files. Should a Temp file still be used than you will automatically get the pop up to 'skip' that item.Close the Temp folder once it is emptiedRight click the Recycling Bin on your desktop and select Empty Recycling BinPlease proceed to the next step.    Step 3: Download Installer Package:  Please click here to download the Full Feature Installer package. If you see it listed please right click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'. Next, click on any device listed under 'Printers and Faxes' once just to highlight itClick Print Server Properties at the top of the windowClick on the Drivers tabLook for your HP Laserjet driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottomClick Remove Driver OnlySelect OKSelect Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windowClose Devices and Printers. Please proceed to the next step.  Step 6: Run Disk Cleanup Utility: Click on your Start menuSelect All ProgramsSelect AccessoriesSelect System ToolsSelect Disk Cleanup Run a Disk Cleanup on the C DriveWhen prompted, check Downloaded Program files, Temporary Internet Files, Recycle Bin, Temporary Files, and Thumbnails Once the Disk Cleanup is complete, please proceed to the next step.    Step 7: Run CCLeaner:  To ensure that there are no malicious files on your computer or Registry conflicts on your computer I am going to have you run a CCLeaner before we install your printer. Should multiple malicious files be found you may need to run the Scan multiple times to remove all malicious files.     Hi hump1276,
    To try and resolve the error, please follow these steps:
    1.  With a flashlight or other bright light, please check the paper feed area of the printer and verify that there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that may be causing the error.  
    2.  Look inside of the printer where the inks are located and ensure that there are no obstructions in there that may be causing the print head not to move freely.  
    3.  Remove and reseat all of the ink cartridges in the printer.  
    Once the above steps have been performed, if you still experience the error, please try cleaning the encoder film of the printer by following the steps located at the link below:

    Hi I am having the strange issue.
    When my application is running as windows service, the RAS engine is not printing the report.

    Hi,
    Can be a permissions issue.
    Try giving the ASPNET account full control on Temp folder :
        . Right-click the folder and select 'Properties'.
        . Go to the 'Security' tab and click the 'Add' button.              
        . Select the 'ASPNET'. Click 'ADD'. Click 'OK'.
        . Check 'Full Control' from 'Permissions for 'ASPNET'.

  • New HP wireless printer install gives me Error Code 43

    I just bought the HP wireless and networking capable all-in-one printer, the C309 series (no indication of exact model number anywhere on the machine, but the maybe it's the C334, since that's near the serial number on the back.
    I connected it to my wireless network with no troubles. I inserted the install disc into my macbook pro, and got past the installation, to the setup step when I got the news:
    "The operation can't be completed. An unexpected error occurred (error code -43)."
    Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is here?

  • When I try to print from web page I get "printer not activated - error code 30", but I can copy text into Word document & printer works.

    I am unable to print anything from an internet web page. I continually get "printer not activated, error code- 30" followed by "An unknown error occurred while printing". I can copy the material from the web page, place into a Word document and then print. This just started yesterday and I have no idea why. Would appreciate your advice!
