Printer only prints partial page

I have all new ink cartridges but when I try to print a page, I only get the top half and then it fades away or I get nothing but a few streaks. I ran clean printhead, clean ink smear and align printer but that didn't help.

Make sure that plain white U.S. letter or A4 size paper is loaded in the tray.From the control panel home screen, touch the Right Arrow (), and then touch the Setup icon ().Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Printhead. The printer cleans the printhead, and then prints a test page.Review the print quality on the test page.Are all of the colours present on the report? Is there streaking, missing colour or text? How do I print only the first page of multiple PDF documents?

I have about 1,500 PDF files (scientific papers) that I need to print only the first page of... Any suggestions on how to do this as a single job or as a few jobs? The files are organized in a bunch of different folders, so if there was some way to do this folder by folder, that would be ok too. Thanks!

Make sure that in System Preferences Printing & Fax pane you set the default printer to the one you want to use, then put all of these PDF files into their own folder, then open terminal and type the following (without hitting return afterward):
lpr -o page-ranges="1-1"
Then drag one of the PDF files into the terminal window (it will add it's path to the end of your command) and replace the file name with *.pdf, so it will look like this:
lpr -o page-ranges="1-1" /Users/todd/Documents/My\ Folder/*.pdf
Then hit return.

Printer only printing two pages, any application

I have a Samsung ml-4600 laser printer connected via USB to an Ibook. It worked great for years, but now, no matter which application I'm using (TextEdit, Word, Powerpoint, Safari), the printer only prints two pages. Even if I print using the printer as a shared device, it'll only print TWO pages!
I've tried:
- printing ranges instead of just selecting 'all'
- tried different applications
- switched USB ports and cable
- uninstall and reinstalled driver from Samsung
- removed and re-added printer to printer list
- removed the printpref preference files from library/prefs
- repair disk permissions
- update all OS X software
Now, I can print from a different powerbook using a direct cable connection and it'll print no problem, so the problem is limited to this 800 mhz g4 ibook.
This just started happening, any ideas?

Make sure you are using the 1.2.0.224 version of the driver. If you already are, you can try using the gutenprint driver.

HP printer only prints blank pages from Word or Pages

My HP all in one printer only prints blank pages from Word or Pages documents, prints ok from anything else. Any ideas? Have deleted and readded printer removed HP software reinstalled software from Apple etc. Help please!

If this just happens from these two programs, it's most likely a driver conflict. If typically using an alternate driver will alow you to get around this. To try this, add the printer's que to the Mac. Click the dropdown next to Use and choose a driver that's not for your printer. Typically the best one to try is another Photosmart dirver, but Deskjet drivers will work as well. I would make the instructions a bit more clear, but I don't have access to a 10.6 Mac. Let me know if this works or not.

My 4630 printer only prints the first page and then cancels the rest of the document. I have to manually choose to print one page at a time. If I try to print a document, it prints the first page and then cancels printing the rest of it. It's driving me crazy. I just bought this printer and, other than that, it works fine. I tried the HOTFIX link that was attached to a previous link as well as other microsoft updates, however, am still having no luck.

'' Prints only print'' never map directions on PC.

I have both a picture of printer on my bookmark bar. When I want to print the whole page exactly like it is......but the printer only printer the wording not the picture directions. I have printed receipes very good with both pic & directions. I have a Tosiba Chromebook laptop. I have changed all ink so that is not the problem. Also have not figured out how to get the HP appt?? thanks so much for your help.

Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are having problems printing map directions from your Chromebook.
I would like to help.
A lot of map/direction sites are designed differently then a recipe site.
With a recipe, the images are on teh web page.
With the directions/map sites, the image is not static.
That is why often you can zoom in or out on the map.
On the Web page that you are trying to print from, there should be a print option.
This will be separate from the ones you normally use.
This will bring up a printer friendly version of the directions.
This should then print the image along with the written direction.
If I may, what site are you trying to print the map directions from?

Printer only prints half the text. In other words, the text is shown only half the size.

No one could possibly help you with that little detail.
How about - what printer, what operating system, how is it connected.....

Canon printer only printing a partial page.

I updated to 10.10.1 and my Canon MG5522 will only print part of the page and then it faults for lost of communication. I've tried deleting the Canon folders in the Library and emptying the trash. Restart the computer and installed the new printer driver from Canon for my printer. Added the printer but it would still only print a partial page. Any ideas on what to try to fix the problem. Thanks!!

Just to be sure it is not an OS or driver fault, connect the MG to the Mac via USB. This will either create a new printer automatically or you will have to open Printers & Scanners and add the printer. Then see if you can print a full page.
If that works, disconnect the USB cable to the MG and reconnect to the wireless access point. Then open Safari and enter the IP address of the MG as the URL. This will connect to the internal web page of the MG and here you will see the strength and quality of the wireless signal. If either is below half then try restarting your wireless router so that it picks up another channel, working on the assumption that the current channel being used is crowded.
Also, if your wireless router provides 2.5Ghz and 5GHz channels, try disabling the 5GHz channel and restarting the Mac and MG to see if that improves the wireless stability.

I bookmarked a website and wanted to print it. It is about a book. Somehow firefox crashed, and recovered. Now i want to print the the last 8 pages but it prints EVERYTHING AGAIN. I tried copying and pasting, didn't work. I really hope you can help me.

Print range section - Lets you specify which pages of the current web page are printed:
* Select '''All''' to print everything.
* Select '''Pages''' and enter the range of pages you want to print. For example, selecting "from 1 to 1" prints the first page only.
* Select '''Selection''' to print only the part the page you've highlighted.

Grayscale printing only option in Pages"

I have a TX400 Epson printer and it appears there is not an option for Gray Scale printing only in Print Preview as you might expect .Apple support told me this was a function of the printer's drivers but Epson say otherwise.Is there a driver or firmware I can download or is there something in i Works or Leopard that I need to activate to correct the issue.?

Caveat: I’m using Tiger and an Epson Photo 1400 so maybe things won’t be the same but should at least point you in the right direction. Click on Copies & Pages and scroll down to Print Settings. There you can choose Color or Grayscale.

Prints only a few pages when I print duplex.

I'm on a Apple MacBookPro running Mac OS X 10.7.5 using Adobe Reader 11.0.2, current as of 01-March-2013, and I noticed that I'm having problems printing duplex with an Toshiba eStudio 351c copier. I have a 50 page document that I want to print duplex but I only get three pages before it stops. I print the same document using Apple Preview and I could print all 50 pages duplex no problem. I have tried this with three different systems; Mac Pro ruuning 10.7.5, MacBookPro 10.6.8; all these are Adobe Reader 11.0.2 with different Toshiba print drivers and they both only print three before it stop so my thinking it has to do something with Adobe Reader 11.0.2.
I tested duplex Adobe Reader 10.1.6 and 9.5.4 on Mac OS 10.6.8 and it had no problems with duplex printing.
Does anyone else experience this issue with printing duplex with Adobe Reader 11.0.2 on Apple Mac OS X 10.6/7 and is there way to fix or will Adobe fix this possible issue?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Cheque printing only on first page

Hi,
Iam a newbie in XML/BI Publisher. I am doing a AP Cheque printing. In the report I have to print the invoice lines and at the bottom of first page I need to print the cheque. I did all necessary stuffs for this in the RTF template.
But now the cheque is getting printed in the second page if the lines comes to the second page or after printing the lines if there is no space for the cheque then its getting printed in the next page.
Can anyone guide me how to print the cheque only in the first page bottom alone.
The sample output which I needs is like this,

Hmm,
There is no way you can say fix that and show this only in first page.
but you can achieve it.
1st method.
give enough space for the check in the first page, by reducing the no of lines in the first page, so that you can accommodate the cheque .
for this, you can do like,
if the position is less than 9 and mod of postion is zero , that means you are in 9 line, then call a sub-template and after that you can put a page-break. this condition is for first page only.
now put an another if condition here, if the position is > 9 and position mod X is zero, then put a page break. x is no of lines to be displayed in 2nd, 3rd, 4th pages.
2nd method.
put the differnet header and footer for first pge.
and cal the sub-template in footer of first page.
in tht sub-template you have the check.

Firefox prints only every other page on a bulk print run, why?

I use Firefox to bulk print Ebay invoices. It's been just fine for years. But 2 days ago it started printing just every other page in full. Intervening pages had only the top 20% printed (headers and footers are set to blank), and it prints one extra blank sheet at the end of the print run. 'Fit to page width' is enabled. I print at A5 size. When I check print preview it shows the problem exactly. The preview confirms 80% of every second page is missing, and there is an extra blank page at the end. Anyone else have this problem?

When you print, check to see which presets and defaults are selected. It could be a stored preference to only print every other.
In order to reset these preferences in Firefox:
