Printers not showing up in Add Printers / Network module - No printers found

Hello All,
I have tried a few different recommended fixes to no avail. When simply going to Devices and Printers, Add Printer, then Network.... no printers are found, until you click the The Printer isn't listed and find under the directory, they are all seen.
Nothing has changed with the server itself and everything seems to be in order. This is a problem since I'll be rolling a bunch of new larger MFD printers in the coming weeks. I will mention, and not sure if the timing is just coincidence,
but I did install the NFS file service to the server, then promptly removed it, and this seemed to happen around that time. Any help/lead would be appreciated.
Below are the items I have tried.
Removed/Relisted all printers in Printer Management
Confirmed the printer permissions as correct
Confirmed the printers are shared and visible when browsing to the printer server via UNC path
Printers are visible in the Default Naming Context for that server within ADSIedit
Network Discovery (for domain users) is enabled IN and OUT on the printer server as well as on any client machine trying to find/add one of these printers
Event View or the Role events show NO errors for that particular service
The SSDP service is running
Using local gpedit, published the printers manually (can only be seen from the print server itself and no other client, but also doesn't show name or location of the printer)

Sorry for my interrupting. Just confirm something more.
Based on your description, did you mean that you can connect those printers and use them as normal, when find
printers via feature “Find a printer in the directory, based on location or feature”? Meanwhile, if logged on with an administrator account, will encounter the same issue?
In addition, I know that you didn’t suspect it’s related to group policy settings. Just for a confirmation,
would you please use
Gpresult command to check? Or you can send the result to
OneDrive then post the link here. (Please hide or remove private and protected information)

Canon MP210 just will not show up in Add Printer

Trying to help a friend get new (to her) printer added in OS 10.5.8... There isn't even a network involved, just trying to add it as simple USB.
It's a Canon Pixma MP210 and wasn't in the printer descrips, so i downloaded and installed the most recent driver for it from Canon, which is noted as good for 10.5 etc (and is CUPs to boot).
its Installer runs just fine... but printer still does not show up in Add Printer, despite restarts, printer attached, not attached, whatever. printer is not in list, "Print Using..." shows no options, and "Add" is greyed out.
The printer itself was never used by its former owner, it's like new, so it's not likely broken.
i attempted to repair permissions, and ran into no-go there too. It sticks on acquiring the database, doesn't even get to a progress bar (let it run for almost an hour, no change). Same thing when i start it up/run repair permissions from retail OS 10.5 DVD.
And this on a smallish (60GB) hard drive that has barely anything on it ....she mostly just websurfs and emails. Tho the finder is a bit slow, there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the mac (it's an iBook G4) and it passes disk first aid fine.
Suggestions?

If Repair Permissions is not completing then something would be amiss with the OS. But I've never a repair permissions resolve a printer not appearing in the Default browser view. It could certainly fix an issue with the printer being seen but the driver not being found. But for the printer not to be visible in the Default view when it is connected to the Mac via USB, then I don't believe a permissions repair will resolve this - especially also if the printer is not visible in System Profiler. Personally I found a reset of the printing system rather than a repair disk permissions to be more helpful.

Router 7606 does not show the inventory for the Fan module

I have a issue with a router 7606, specifically with fan module, the LC go down because it does have sufficiently cooling , I changed the Fan module, the IOS, The power supply, and I still have the same issue, Besides the Router does not show the inventory or PID for module fan,

Windows 7 devices and printers not showing

The ultimate fix was when MS Support advised be to go to services.msc and start Bluetooth services (and set it to automatic) -- I did, rebooted and the Windows 7 Pro Devices and Printers once again showed up!
Not sure why Bluetooh services would cause my Device and Printers window to open blank (and seemingly keep looking for icons to populate the screen), but I am sure the code fix will be in a fuute windows update.
There was no other place to put this so, I figured that this possible solution will help other early adopters of Win7

Most interesting is it is showing same or very similar problem on multiple Windows computers in HOME network and HOME Group. Not on all of them. so here is some background (it may show that some other people with the same problem may
have same setup): 8x Windows PC - Vista, W7 and W8.1, plus Macs, iOS, Linux, Android devices and 2 wired network printers - Brother MFC9120CN and HP Officejet 6500. Now PCs with trouble (1 W7 Ultimate, 1 Vista Pro and 2x W8.1 - Vista and W7 had this
problem before W8 came along but not regularly) have these in common and I believe are source of trouble. All have installed QuickBooks 2011, all needed to print to QB PDF creator by Nuance, that does not work and causes QB app not responding. All
are setup with same printers. So you would say " there you go!! QB 2011!" well not so quick. Removed it from 2 of the PCs no change in the issue.
What I'm experiencing now. W8.1, can not add remove Printers error > Print Spooler not running! I go to services etc. Print Spooler is Auto and running! I restart it or put on Manual it shows running but Add printer no go again. W7 machine - Devices Printers

Printers not showing up in appliance webb interface

Hi all,
printer added in imanager, working fine to add to printer and printing but not showing up in appliance printer page so I'm unable to set mobile print settigns.
Any ideas?

1. did you create an iprint manager or did the install?. If you create
your own one you'll run into this issue.
2. Did you import the printers from another iprint system or did you
create them on the appliance? if you import them, you'll see issue
mentioned below
3. Check the ownership and rights of the padbtxt.xml. The wrongs ones
will cause this issue

Printers not showing up on leopard managed machine

I'm trying to use WGM to set up specific printers to show up for specific machines and users and no matter whenever i specify which printers to have added to the managed machine / users the printers don't show up. Am i missing something?

1) Are the printers just stand-alone network printers without a print server (are you printing direct to them or going through a print server)? If you print direct, what are the protocols you are using? LPR? AppleTalk? IPP?
Yes they are just standalone HP printers and they support LPR and IPP, i've tried both and neither work
2) If you DO have print servers, what protocols are the queues hosted with? IPP? LPR? SMB? What OS is the printer server running? OS X? Windows? Linux?
I have followed the documentation on how to put those printers into leopards printer and fax pane and enabled printer pools in server admin. i then try to add using WGM those printers and they don't show up.
3) Is Bonjour involved in any way?

4) Is your OD server and the clients all running 10.5 (Leopard)?

5) Are other policies working OK?

Printer Not Showing Up In Add List again.

I made a mistake and accidently deleted my printer from the Printer List (I was removing other printers). It doesn't show up when I try to add it again.
Here is what I have done:
1) Removed the com.apple.print.PrintingPrefs.plist and com.apple.print.PrintCenter.plist
2) Downloaded the latest drives from the HP site (It's an HP Officejet Pro K550)
3) Logged out/Restarted (several times)
A funny thing has also occurred.
The drop down that usually holds the printers that can be added has looks like this:
AppleTalk
Bluetooth
Windows Printing
HP IP Printing
The blanks above are present. There are 3 blanks above the HP IP Printing and one blank below.
The blanks can be selected but not added (I thought it might have been a naming conflict and the printer was just not listing).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums!
You don't say if you installed after downloading the Printer you deleted, but I suspect it's one not showing, and that you need to reinstall.

Printer not showing up on add printer

We have a network of both PCs and Macs and a central Sharp Copier. We have the latest driver for Yosemite but the copier is not showing up in the add printer list. When we try setting the Macs up through the IP menu it says unable to verify printer, etc.
The printer sets up fine on the PCs.
The printer IP shows up on an IP scanner but not on our Motorolla Router/Modem from our ISP (Broighthouse).
The Sharp guys have been out here and have determined the issue is not on the printer side and suggested contacting Apple.

Ok...so I have solved my problem. The new router was blocking port 631. I forward this port to the desktop ip address and all is well in windows printing land.

HP4599 not showing up on my wireless network

Have had a HP4599 for a couple of years now and has always worked fine ... ish!
Got a new work laptop so needed to set it up to work with my HP, yet when went through the HP setup (downloaded the latest software as working with Windows 7) printer was not found wirelessly. Added USB cable and set up then came up with error #201VSA.
Run wireless network test report which says 'network name SSID not matching'. Have tried resetting the HP to default. Have tried changing the SSID name on the router - but still no luck. All my other wireless devices, lap top, iphone etc all pick up the wireless OK.
When print network config page it shows disconnected. Have run tools on HP help and the printer does not show on their HP network diagnostic utility.
Anyone got a solution that works?
How can i get the pinter to be found, it appears to have now ip address.

Portlet not showing up in 'Add Portlets to Region' page

This relates to Portal 9.0.2 (the new version that shipped with iAS 9.0.2).
I created a provider based on a Report, specifying the SQL query to be used, and thus created a portlet which produces a report from the query. It works and I have added it to a region in a page. So far, so good.
Then I created a second provider with a very nearly identical SQL query, set virtually everything to be the same as the attributes for the first portlet. I wish to add it to another region in the same page. However, when I try to do the edit for the page, to add the second portlet, it doesn't show up in the list of portlets in the 'Add Portlets to Region' page, so I can't add it.
Both portlets show up in the Providers list. They both say 'Report from SQL Query' under Type, and both say that their owner is EXAMPLE_APP. However, when I navigate to that owner in the 'Add Portlets to Region' page, only the first portlet shows up. The other one doesn't.
Any ideas as to why this might occur? What do I look for? I've tried to look for any differences between the two portlets, and haven't seen anything obvious.

Note that since I had just done a refresh, I would have expected the date to be today's, assuming that the date refers to when the refresh was done, but instead it's April 8th. Strange?
When I clicked on the View Details link, it brought up a page:

ORA-01722: invalid number (WWV-11230)
No row returned.
Not too helpful an error message, huh?
Clicking on the Advanced/Basic links produced identical results (the same exact error message).
The Add Portlets to Region still does not show the portlet I wish to add.
Any additional help much appreciated...

After loading, why does adobe flash not show up in add on manager - using firefox 5.0

Loaded adobe flash 10.3.181.34 and it worked fine. However, it does not show up in Firefox add-on manager - using Firefox version 5.0. Running win xp pro sp-3

2nd storage pool does not show up in "add share"

Shows up fine in disk manager, but not at all in "add share" option. I want the 3 striped disks to show up as a separate entity. Will also need to do that to 4 more individual disks later, each as a separate disk, and each of those 4 shared individually with their own names.Somewhere, I read the these boxes are setup initially with only 1 share. Is this forever or is there some way I can turn on the other shares? Thanks,David

Use the CS4 Clean Utility to unregister all CS3 components, then manually delete all the folders.

Refinements are not showing up under 'Add/Modify Location' window

Hi All,
Our Indexed data as seen in JSP Reference application contains multiple dimensions. But when trying to add a trigger using the 'Add Location' button in Endeca Experience Manager, the indexed dimensions are not showing up under the 'Refinements' section in the pop-up window. But when we try to use the RefinementMenu cartridge as part of configuring the Guided Navigation section, the indexed dimensions are showing up.
Please let us know if we should be doing anything else, so as to get the dimensions in the 'Add Location' window.

Try logging out, running ./control/update_web_studio_config.[bat|sh], then logging back in and see if that helps.

Airport Express not showing up as a selectable network

I have a new airport express and airport extreme base station (latest firmware installed). I've set up my base station in my home, which is working fine. When I plugged in my airport express, the default name showed up in my available networks on my iPhone. But once I configured it to extend my base station range, it doesn't show up. If I restore the airport express to factory defaults, it shows up again in my iPhone. I can't seem to get the "set up" airport express to show up as available. Any suggestions?

i assume your airport extreme base station (AEBS) is you main router and you want the airport express (AX) join the network provided by the AEBS.
you could try this:
unplug and re-plug the airport express (AX), then click on the airport icon in your menu bar. you should see something like "Apple network bj1234567" or similar (it may take a little while for it to show up). in order to set up the express, you will have to temporarily join its network ! you will get a message asking +do you really want to switch networks ?+ and you do want to do that.
launch airport utility (AU). you should see the AX on the left. click on the icon of the AX once to highlight it and click continue. follow onscreen instructions and, when prompted, choose to +join an existing network+ and enter the required information for your network.
