Printing 1 Label in Row and Column Other Than Row 1, Column 1

I want to print 1 label and want to print it on Avery label stock in a row and column other than row 1, column 1. I'm using Avery Labels 8163. I can select the row and column I want to print on in Word but can't figure out how to do it in *Address Book*. Anyone know how to do this?

You can't do that in Addrress Book. But you can use pearLabelizer to do that. Be sure you download and install the appropriate Label Definition file and name it as such so you can select it from the pop-up list in the program's Preferences window.

PowerView option - Drill Down one level at a time also hide the columns other than the hierarchy columns

Hi All,
I have a simple PowerView report (Excel 2013) in which I have a hierarchy (three columns), an image column, and a Value column:
When I change the Show Levels option to "Rows - Enable Drill Down One Level at a Time", image column also hide.
I want to keep the image column displayed while drill down/up to the hierarchy.
Is it possible? If yes, then how?

According to your description, you have images at child level. Now you want to have the images displayed when have the child level items collapsed. Right?
In this scenario, when you show the data in a matrix in Power View, those images, Size ID and Prices have been added into a child group. If we enable drill down, all the items within the child group will be collapsed. We can't change it at all in Power
View.
For your requirement, we suggest you design your report using SQL Server Data Tools in Reporting Services. In Reporting Services, we can have specific columns toggled by the parent item.

Iterate columns rather than rows?

Hi All
Apologies for what is probably a painfully stupid question, as an almost complete newbie I'm not familar with the intricaies of the SDK but ...
I am building a plugin (primarily for Premiere users) which I think would lend itself better to iteration over columns rather than rows. Is there any built in iterate function that handles this situation, or would this be a situation where coding my own iteration loop could be better?
I ask because I have succesfully built my plugin in AE (using the Shifter example as a basis) and it works but the performance is not great. I've built the same plugin using the Premiere SDK (coding my own iteration loop) and the performance is much better.
Appreciate any idiot friendly tips.

your question is not at all stupid!
there is no API function that would directly iterate over columns instead
of rows.
you'll have to write you own function for that, which is in many ways
better that using a suite, because of the minimal overhead in custom
functions.
you can use "iterate_generic()" to make you code multi-threaded on a column
by column basis.

Show text in the column other than contains in actual data field WD ALV

Hi,
I want to show the data in the ALV column other than contains in the actual field for this column. Fot this purpose I use method   SET_TEXT_FIELDNAME of the interface IF_SALV_WD_COLUMN_REF. Unfortunately, I still see the contents of the actual field in this column. What am I doing wrong?

Its easy. Once you obtain the reference of your desired column create an instance of the & then set it to the cell editor. Check the code fragment below:
data: lr_caption        TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_uie_caption.

In the snippet above am changing the cell editors of column by name CHECK to contain a pictogram by name "People" & a static text "My Text". So now all my cells under the CHECK column would contain both the pictogram & the text.

Printing payement advice note in language other than english

Dear Expert Users
We are trying to print payment advice notes in different local
languages.
We have maintained the vendor language as the local language(ex:
Japanese)and tried printing the payment advice note and its appearing
in English.

1) Can you check at the condition record level which language is your prinout getting fired.?
2) You can also try logging in japanese language and check if you can see your standard texts correctly.
3) Also check if your printer supports language other than English..

How to enable only current row and disable others?

We have a requirement like, the top row only should be editable in a detail block. For example,

when i click this "Add Row" button a new row should be created with editable text boxes for all 3 columns. and the existing row should become display only row.

Print preview of the PO -languages other than English is not appearing.

In the Print preview of the Purchase Order -languages other than English is not appearing.
When I create a PO for a chinese vendor , in the print i can see only the ##### characters.
Pl let me know how to solve this issue.
Note :
Vendor language is maintained as Chinese in vendor master & same is getting copied in the PO heaader communication tab.
With outtype LP01 it works for the print preview , however when sent as a PDF it wil be with #### charaters.
But when i select LOCL it gives #### charaters for both print & PDF.

IWeb 08 and browsers other than Safari

My site works fine on Safari but I've had a check on Opera and Mozilla and some things are missing, for example the reflections on the images and the borders round the images? The mind boggles on what will be happening with internet explorer!! Any clues out there?

I can't, in good conscience, recommend any browser other than Safari. I have tried most of them and found them to be sad, pathetic imitations. I used to keep Firefox around for the occasional web site that wouldn't function properly with Safari but those sites have dwindled to almost nothing in the past year. I speculate that a combination of better, standards compliant coding by developers and the steady improvement of WebKit is the reason.
For whatever reason the majority of complaints about Safari compatibility seem to be coming from european users these days.
I assume you were using Firefox because of problems with Safari. Now you're having trouble with Firefox. That should be a red flag for you. Something is going on your individual system that needs fixing or attention.

No, RME, Campus and DFM are still hardcoded to restrict to cisco devices.
HUM and IPSLA are more open.
The functionality from the HUM will allow you to monitor availablilty, interfaces and you can add OID's yourself.
IPSLA can use non cisco devices as a target for their tests.

Highlight a track. Press command + i to get information on the track. Enter the data. For simultaneous multi-track editing use click and shift+ click to select a range of tracks on which to get information.
Use iTunes help menu to find out how to use iTunes.

I copy a row and then the next row as no actions

Hi,
One of the easiest ways to do this is simply select the row (discussion below about selecting) and hold the "Ctrl" + "D" ("D" is for "Duplicate"). This will duplicate the row and place it directly under it. Also, you can use "Duplicate" by clicking Edit>Duplicate
Selecting rows can sometimes be tricky. If I use the mouse, I always try to confirm in the Object and/or Hierarchy Pallet.The mouse can select the row (arrow with an underscore) or all the objects in the row (arrow no underscore)
Here are 3 ways:
The mouse can select the row (arrow with an underscore) or all the objects in the row (arrow no underscore). You move the cursor just to the left of the table and the arrow appears.
One of the best ways I find is selecting the row in the Hierarchy Pallet.
Select an object in the row and on the tool bar click Table>Select>Row
I avoid pasting anything if I can help it. If you use flowed forms and if you paste a lot, and If you aren't careful, you'll end up with a corrupt form. Designer is very unpredictable about where it will paste. If you have a large form, it can take a minute or two to track down a pasted object's location. Then you have to move it to where you want it.
Better to use "Duplicate". That usually means it will be next to the item you're duplicating. If you copy and paste, paste, paste repeatedly too fast, You can really mess things up. Every Paste command takes longer than you think to execute. Wait at least 2 seconds before doing anything after pasting. Otherwise, you'll interpt Designer while it's busy writing the new XML. Yes, Designer is still busy doing work even after you see the new item appear. Be patient.

Adobe Reader prints some PDF's and Not others

Hi
I can successfully print some pdf files but there are two that I cannot print. the one I am having problems with is 24 pages and I cannot print this as singles pages or as a booklet. I can print the file from another machine. I though it was maybe because I was still on Reader X so I upgraded it to the latest Reader XI but that didn't help either. On the machine that can print the file it will flatten all 24 pages then print them. On the machine that can't print the file it starts to flatten the first page but when it hits 95% it crashes Reader. It doesn't matter if I am trying to print all 24 pages or 1 of the 24 pages it still crashes. But other PDF files print normally.

My next guess would be HD-DVD, which is also not properly supported on the Mac. If there's some special extra form of copy protection, I suppose this could also present an issue. I've heard of that on CDs, but not DVDs. Another possible issue is if the discs are from a different region coding than your own. Imported DVDs can often have such region coding. Lastly, burned DVDs of pirated content often won't play because of broken copy protection duplication or if the content lacks the original menus on the original DVD.

Why do my windows keep defaulting to a List view that I have to adjust just to see columns other than name

This occurs both in Finder and in Application modal dialog boxes working with files.
I am constantly (and I mean constantly) reducing the width of the name field in windows in List view so that the name column doesn't use the entire available width of the containing window. I've tried using the View Options (Cmd "J") in Finder and clicking on "Use as Defaults" button but this seems to save only the items within the options window not any window editable states like column width.
I return to same folders all the time and have to change this every freaking time.
It's worse within application dialogs because they default to an even narrower file viewer window than my Finder windows tend to be.
Just one more of my many Mavericks issues. :-\

Are there any other Print on Demand services in Australia other than Blurb?

I have started looking at making a Photobook as a gift for someone, and am wondering if there are any other Print on Demand services in Australia.
I am only asking as I found that the shipping cost for the book I am designing almost doubles the cost.
Other services that I have come across are:
xlibris - too expensive to set-up for a 1 off book
publish-me - does not appear to do 1 off's
momentopro - need an ABN to use their service
Any ideas?

I've actually done this with a "chain of responsibility," where each link has a determineResponsibility callback and handleResponsibility callback. If it doesn't handle the responsibility (because it's not responsible), it sends the request on to the next link in the chain, which handles it or doesn't. If you're not familiar with a callback, it's a variable of type Function so that you can change what function gets called at various times.
To clarify, you'd hand the first link in the chain a reference to the event, then call something like a process() method with a reference to the Event. This would call determineResponsibility(), which would look at the event to see if the characteristics of the event are what you want. If it returns true, it would call handleResponsibility(). If it returns false, you would call process() on the next link. The advantage of this design is that you can add and remove links as needed to handle changing needs in your system. For example, if the character hits something that disables right movement until the user hits the left arrow, remove the right arrow link until the user hits the left arrow, then put it back.
