Printing 2 pages per page - permanent setting?

Does anyone know how to set up word or other porgranms so that when i print a document, it always prints 2 pages to a page in the layout tab?

Have you tried setting it to 2 pages per sheet and then saving that setting as a preset? That should do it.

It may be that Firefox printer settings need to be reset. Please see [[Fix printing problems in Firefox]].
If you have any questions on how to open the about:config page please do the following steps :

Printing 2 pages per page - bad results

I need to ask you a question. I am trying to print a PDF document 2 pages per page and I get very bad results. When I choose the automatic "2 per page" in the Print box, and first print the odd pages (horizontal orientation) and then run them through again only printing the even pages (horizontal reverse orientation) - the pages don't line up! the printer makes "mirror" margings (I'm guessing) regardless of the setting (auto-rotate pages, landscape, portrait, etc). I've even tried to print using "custom" 2x1 pages per sheet (landscaped) - which gave marginally better results, but still the pages don't line up about 2 mm on each side. this has been recreated many many times AND IN DIFFERENT PDFs, so it isn't the paper's placement or the document.
I have a front-fed HP PSC 1210 printer. it served me well for nearly 7 years. I cannot belive it's gotten the best of me though.
my PC: DELL 2.4GHz core 2 duo, 2GB RAM, 320 GB HDD, 640GB HDD, radeon 4890 1GB video, vista 32 bit, 2ms monitor, etc., etc.
p.s. moreso, when I choose the default "automatic" 2 per page and check the "print page borders" box, the front page even sticks out of the borders put there by acrobat!

p.p.s. in print preview: composite it shows GRAYED OUT the margins of the page that the printer cannot print on. but when printing, Adobe seems to not take that into account! it seems to consider the page as the printable area screwing up the margins.

Welcome to the HP forums.
If you have sent a test print via ePrint, and experience this issue, i would call the Cloud Services department.
If ePrint works fine, it is definitely a Google Cloud Print issue.
Also, when you print from your android device, are you using Google Cloud print or the HP ePrint app?

Printing 2 pages per page?

Hi there,
I have a pdf that I would like to print. It is set up to be printed on A4 paper, portrait layout. I now would much rather print two of its pages on 1 A4 sheet, which works fine, but they are both... well, landscaped within a portrait sheet.. or the other way around, if you will. Bah.. how to say that... they touch at the short edge, not at the long one, does that help? And that makes them smaller and all in all wrongly shaped.
How can I turn them around so that it works out the way I want it?

Nevermind. I had made the mistake of setting okulars printing dialog to "landscape" and "2 pages per sheet". Simply leaving it at "portrait" did the job. You'd think I could have come up with that, right? (Canon IP4300 using Gutenprint, btw)

How to print day per page on Palm Desktop?

I have a .dba Palm DateBook file taken off a Palm Treo 650 phone. I would like to print the calendar entries with the entries for one day per page. However the Palm Desktop software appears to only provide for one whole month to be printed on a single page. Does anyone know how I can print the calendar entries for a particular day on a single page?

Open Printers & Scanners. Select the HP. Click on Open Printer Queue. From the menubar, click on the Printer menu and then select Print Test Page.

Restrict Repeating frame header to print once per page

is there any way I can restrict the repeating group header to print only once per page, inspite of the fact that the group has now changed ??

There is an option in Frame properties -> Show objects in -> you can choose first page so that the objects will be displayed in the first page.
What do you mean by 'group has now changed'?

7610 takes 14 minutes to print pdf per page

How long does it take to send file to the printer (called Flattering) ? Yesterday I created an one page PDF file using Adobe Acrobat 10, the file size is only 21Kb (yes 21Kb) and it took 17mins to send that file to my printers. They are all networked, big laser printers. The output did not come out, the printers display memory full (all of them - note: I can walk to any printer with my access card to det my output). These printers can print 400 pages PDF document no longer than 10mins. I will send it to another printer later when working at other building.

my try would be:
digg in the MS KBs about command line options of PP
start PP with the (system) execute vi , full screen presentation (automatic show with known delay??)
use the (system) send key vi to step through the presentation (if no auto mode is possible)
use the screen shot function to cature the screen and search this forum on how to save it as a jpg (or png? )

Home Page Cannot Be Permanently Set

Something now fixes my home page as "http://www.searchqu.com/406" no matter what I do to make another web page my home. I've followed several of the standard ways to fix the home page at what I want. However, the next time I start Firefox, the home page is back to "searchqu." I've also looked for settings that prevent me from setting the home page. However, I can't find anything that controls it and the home page is always changed back to "searchqu." How do I get rid of "searchqu" and it's taking control of my home page?

Sorry I do not know the exact answer, but it does sound like some sort of malware or at least unintentionally installed software. See for instance

You will need to look for any likely unrecognized extensions to firefox or other unknown programs and consider disabling them, otherwise it is likely to be out and out malware and it is a case of scanning with multiple tools to discover the problem.

Has anyone printed 2 per page?

I've been using A3 successfully since day 1, and printed dozens of images of various sizes. Now I've tried to print 2ea 5x7 on letter size, and no luck. I made a custom preset, but when I try to print it hangs up in "processing" mode. If I cancel, it hangs up in "cancel" mode. Only way to recover is to force quit. I reported to Apple, but would like to know if anyone has been able to get it to work.

Printing more than one image to a single sheet of paper is broken in Aperture 3. See this thread (skip to my last message in the thread for the latest info):

Lexmark T630 network printer - always prints 2 pages per sheet

I'm trying to setup a Lexmark T630 for printing under Leopard 10.5.2. The printer prints just fine, but it always prints documents as half a sheet, thus, printing 1 a document with 1 page results in a sheet that has the page printed on one half and the other half is blank (as landscape). 2 pages will result in a landscape that has both pages on one sheet, next to each other.
Layout -> Pages per sheet is set to '1' .
I've tried setup with AppSocket,IPP or LPD , using the Lexmark provided driver (both from Apple and from lexmark.com) and a generic postscript driver.
I've tried various paper sizes (the paper is A4) , I've tried printing in landscape and portrait, scaling the pages to 50% or 200% and anything else I could think of.
Event the 'print test page' from http://localhost:631 (the CUPS web service) results in half a page, landscape, with the test page on the left side as a portrait.
Any Ideas..?

Did you try throwing away the com.apple.printing files in your <home>/Library/Preferences folder? It sounds like a preferences file, but you could also try resetting the print system by holding down the control key while clicking in the list of printers in Print and Fax Prefs.

Printing 6 slides per page

For my science class we have to print out lecture notes, and my teacher says to print 6 slides per page, and this time it has to be in color. My personal printer is the only one that prints color, the family computer doesn't even have PowerPoint anyway, but that prints black and white. I have Keynote, and when i try to print 6 per page, it prints one whole column of 6 and moves to the next page.

Hi Azoolkool, I figured it out, so here goes: Under Keynote open your file, make sure your View is set up as Navigator view; this way you can see the mini-sidebar on your left side. On the individual slides highlight the slides you want printed by holding down the shift button and click on for example 7-12.
Now click on File>Print, go to pages and enter in section From: 7 to: 12, Right under this area u should see Keynote drop down bar and on the bottom left area it states: PRINT with some options there, just check off "Individual Slides". To the right of the print section it should state OPTIONS; to keep your slides in color remove the check on "Don't print slide background or object fill". Do check "Add borders around slide" and "Use page Margin".
Under the FROM and TO page area where you put 7 and 12 in - there is a drop down bar that defaults to Keynote, click on this and go to PAGE ATTRIBUTES to change your page orientation to portrait or landscape. Once done proceed to next step and click on PDF on the lower left hand side and enter into "OPEN PDF IN PREVIEW". It should default to the 7th page as full screen along with the sidebar appearing.
Now click on File in the preview menu bar and then PRINT - Now uncheck the AUTO RATE and now check the "SCALE TO FIT" - "FILL ENTIRE PAPER". Then below that where it says images per page , change it from 1 to 6 and notice the print preview with six slides on one page. Now hit PRINT on the lower right hand side...
Hope this helps, I had to learn the hard way today "Trial and Error" as the manual does not state this clearly. Also I'm sure there is a better way but no one has responded yet. Let me know if it works.

Apple Mail - Printing without margins and/or headers, multiple pages per sheet

I have orders coming in by email that I need to print out as packing sheets/order tickets. In the email I have the submissions set to come in as html tables, all of a uniform size. I want to print 4 per page, and can do that by selecting 4 emails, "Print", and then 4 pages per sheet in the print settings and it gives me 4 unique orders on one sheet. But the giant standard margins make it so the submission tables are way too small (they could easily be almost double the size and fit fine on the sheet) and I don't want the email header information displayed. This really doesn't seem like too much to ask, I hope it's not really as impossible as all the forums make it seem! In another forum, BDAqua mentioned possibly making a script for this?
The order submissions are generated from my form on Jotform. This is a great form builder, at least in my first-time experience, but seems lacking in output options - reports can only be generated as tables, and on the web-based submission viewer the print options are extremely limited as well. I have also experimented with Excel: Jotform will export submissions all together on one excel spreadsheet, but in my situation that would mean I would have to figure out how to print each row separately. I spent some time on the excel forums and from what people said it sounds like a huge headache and very tedious. I created this form in order to save a lot of time in taking down orders, so it would be really nice to be able to print them directly in quarter-sheet format. Even in full-sheet format, I still wouldn't want the email headers or all the white space.
Any ideas? I'm running 10.9 on a 2009 MacBook Pro 13", and have a basic Brother HL-2070N laser printer and an Epson Workforce 610 (DC8508) - either would serve the purpose, but I doubt this issue has anything to do with which printer I'm using. Thanks for any ideas/feedback!

What you are wanting to accomplish, can be done, but it is not necessarily a simple task and is going to require at least a modicum of programming skill. Filemaker comes first to my mind as offering reasonably powerful data extraction and analysis capabiity as well as the ability to store the transactions in a database and analyze the data in an almost infinite variety of ways. However, this will require the services of a Filemaker analyst and programmer to create and maintain the system. Don't forget the system will need almost continuous maintenance and enhancement.
If you can change the way you receive the orders, there is a large number of shopping cart systems offered by virtually every internet hosting firm that can be adapted to a wide variety of marketing activities and they maintain staffs of programmers to handle the adaptation and maintenance -- at a price.

1099 Form - Misc doesn't print 2 forms per page.

The 2007A PLD form that we have prints only 1 form per page. The 1099 forms that we have for MISC have 2 'forms' per page. I have tried scaling the size of the repetitive area so 2 vendors print per page, but I am unsuccessful. How does PLD know how many vendors (1099's) to print per page?

Our organization is having this issue with the new Adobe forms that were released. The 1099 smartforms print 2 forms per page but the 1099 adobe forms are only printing 1 form per the OSS note that was just released - Note: 1949022. Is there somewhere in config that we can select to print 2 per page?
We are using IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC which will print just 1 form per page ( we also had to make some adjustments because the top gets cut off...)
form IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC1 will print 2 forms per page but it is not a new vendor that prints on the form it is a copy of the first on the page
The 1099 Interest adobe form prints 2 per page with IDWTCERT_US_1099INT - this is curious too because the smartform prints 3 forms per page
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Do you know how to resolve it?I am considering putting in a problem report.
