Printing blank sheets

My daughter and I have the same hp printer. She ran out of black ink, so I took mine out of my printer as I didn't have any extra on hand. When I replaced mine with a new cartridge, it would print blank sheets. Also, the ink cartridge she borrowed from me, did not work in her printer either. Nor did a new cartridge. Both printers were working before we did the ink cartridge exchange.
So, now neither of our printers work. They sound like they are printing something, but only blank sheets come out.
I have read all of the troubleshooting suggestions and nothing works. I do believe it has something to do with the cartridge exchange.

Sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Sometimes when it is printing blank pages, the print head may need cleaning or it may be a software issue with the drivers.
Can you print a self-test page/printer status report from the printer itself. If so, then it may be software problem. If not, it is the printer itself that needs attending.

HP Photosmart Pro B9180 Printing Blank Sheets

I have a HP Photosmart Pro B9180 printer. I joined two scanned images into one photo and saved it as a .tif file. I then resized it to 8x10 and it printed fine. When I resized it again to print it as an 12x16 on 13x19 paper, the printer will only spit out blank sheets. I took it to a mini lab and they couldn't print it either.
Anybody have any ideas what might be wrong?

Hard Reset – While printer is powered ON, pull
the power cord from the printer then from the
wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to wall
and printer. This will trigger a ‘dirty power up’
and restore the printer to a known good

Printer printing blank sheets between printed ones

I have a HP Officejet 6210 all in one, running windows XP. My problem is when I am printing something I made up in microsoft word, it puts out a blank sheet first than it puts out a blank sheet in between the printed ones. I don't want to have to babysit it if I have a lot of copies to print.It seems to only do it on certain ones. I have an older version of word.

Printer prints blank sheets of paper

I was recently given a HP Photosmart Premium C309n printer from my Uncle for college. I have already installed the driver on my Mac Book Pro laptop which has a OS X 10.7 operating system. I finally received a correct ink cartridge that fits my printer, but now the printer is just printing blank pages!! Please help me, I am a freshman in college and is in great need of this printer!!!

Opened a 3 page pdf from an email - prints 3 blank pages
My specifics:
OS X version 10.9.5
Adobe Reader version 11.0.09

I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe and still can't print

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I understand when you print PDF files from your Mac running the Mavericks 10.9.5 Operating system to your HP Photosmart B209a, the pages come out blank.
I would like you to complete the steps listed below:
Scrub/ Uninstall
• Open the Applications folder > HP or Hewlett Packard folder > HP Uninstaller
• Click continue, click on one of the printers in the list.
• * Only do this step if you do not have any other HP Printers. Hold down Control, Option and Command, While holding the three buttons down,
• Click uninstall.
Reset Printing System
1. Click the Apple icon ( ), and then click System Preferences.
2. In the Hardware section, click Print & Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan dialog box opens.
3. Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
5. Type the correct Name and Password.
6. Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol..
Repair Disk Permissions
1.On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
2.Double-click Disk Utility.
3.Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
4.Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
5.Once the repair is complete, restart the computer.
Restart the printer. Now you can download and install using the Apple Updates. Click on the link below to begin the installation and follow the on screen instructions:

8500 officejet prints blank sheet but copies fine

HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500 AIO PRINTER
I am able to copy documents fine in Black and Color; however, when printing either with wired or wireless the document feeds thru without any text being displayed.
I tried in Word or Excel with same negative result.
I have tried multiple computers (XP, WIN7) same negative result.
I tried cleaning to 3rd level and still negative result.
Unplugged printer and tested again with same negative result
suggestions what it could be?

J5750 Only printing blank page

I am trying to print a Word document and it is only printing blank sheets. This is a new Vista 64 machine but the printer has worked with my old XP machine in the past. I installed the correct drivers from the HP site and downloaded / installed updates. Ink levels are all fine. I successfully printed a diagnostics page that came out in color but with no black (I'm assuming there was supposed to be). I tried to print a test page but got a pop up that simply said "Out of Memory". I have also confirmed that the tape was removed from the ink nozzels prior to cartrige installation. I think that's everything....

Have you tried making a copy simply from the printer without the aid of the computer?
Have you also tried to print from notepad? Does it have a similar result?

iphones 5 & 6 used to print 1 or all web pages flawlessly via airprint using Canon MG3250 printer .Now the iphones print blank sheets. Oddly the iphones wil print
emails windows on laptop will print no problems. Cannon has no more suggestions . Bought new Cannon 4250 today can't believe same problem, surely this must

Canon software was uninstalled reinstalled numerous times . Printer reset to factory defaults. My preferred browser is Chrome and I was able to airprint just
the page I was looking at on the iphone. Have tried resetting iphones ,turning on/ff resetting network settings ..Have tried using safari which does print ,however I have no option to select a specific page from a website so if there is 50 pages attached to the page I am looking at, when I hit print It prints them all! Now wondering if it is a Chrome issue any ideas appreciated .

I opened a link in an email from Penney's to print a coupon. All Firefox printed was a blank sheet of paper.

The coupon opens in a new window. My printer is connected but all that comes out is a blank sheet of paper. I copied the URL to IE, the coupon opened in a new window, and it printed. What is blocking the printing in Firefox?

I'm going to guess this coupon was a PDF file. There are two things you can do:
Wait until Friday, and update to Firefox 29.0.1 which fixes this issue [[Update Firefox to the latest version]]. I recommend this if you can wait two days to print PDF's
If you can't wait, [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer]] can help you change your PDF viewer to one that can print.

My printer spits out a blank sheet using Firefox but prints correctly using Safari.

Using a laptop with Vista, printing to hp 5100 works with Explorer or Firefox 3.6.6 but with my eMac OS X 10.5.8 only Safari prints - Firefox 3.6.6 gives a blank sheet!!

When printing to a new wireless printer, only with e-mail, I get a first blank sheet before the printed e-mail. Can not find where to change this?

HP 7310 spits out multiple blank sheets after copy and/or print

After I print or copy anything on my 7310 all-in-one it continues to spit out blank sheets of paper. I've reset the printer, searched for a software upgrade, checked the settings and everything seems to be normal.

Getting an extra page (Blank sheet) out while printing from SAP

Please help me in trouble shoorting this issue
We have an HPLJ 8000n series printer which is sending out an extra paper (blank sheet) at the end, after each print request from SAP.

I think _Z = +    is print blanksheet.
If this is the case, change to _Z = !   (i.e - no blanksheet)
