Printing Blogs

I'm a teacher and I use my .Mac for a class website.
My "blog" is a daily review of the day's classwork and homework. I always print the blogs out to post in my classroom. However, when I do, the print out does not match what I see on my computer. The fonts, colors, and formating are all fouled up. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else noticed this?
http://web.mac.com/socialstudies8/iWeb

I was emailed a comment today by someone who wanted to print out a page or two from my site, but they were all "messed up". Sure enough, using IE on a PC will result in messed up pages. When I pring on my Mac using Safari or Firefox it prints out just fine.
Haven't experimented further...maybe using Firefox on a pc?

  • Printing blog entries

As my blog gets older and longer, more and more ends up in archive and sort of disappears from view. I sure would like to be able to print blog entries, perhaps like a photo book. Anyone aware of a service that can do this? Seems like there would be a reasonable demand for that....

  • Printing Blog Files

    Hello,
Is there a way to publish my blog to a folder so that I could then print the posts as pdf documents?  Or can anyone else think of a way to print my blog posts?

Is there a way to publish my blog to a folder so that I could then print the posts as pdf documents?  Or can anyone else think of a way to print my blog posts?
Publish you blog (actually your entire Site) to a local folder, open the file in a webbrowser and do Command-P from the File menu.
Or publish to the server and perform the same browser and print steps.
Or do the Print command in iWeb itself.

  • Print blog comments

I have a black background on my website and use a blog for my students to comments on problems. Is there a way to print their comments to use for grading purposes. It would be nice to export the comments in a PDF or really any format and then be able to print them off not on the black background. I have not been able to find a simple way to do this. Does any one know of a way?

Ben ~ See this Apple doc:
_MobileMe: Unable to add comments to blog pages_
...which was found by searching here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=search
In order for people to look at your site/blog, they can use either your mac.com or me.com URL. But in order to post their comments on your blog (if you've allowed them), they must use your me.com URL. If they try to add a comment via your mac.com URL, they'll get this message:
"We're sorry. We are having a problem processing your request."
...so it's probably better to tell everyone to use the me.com URL to access your site. You can send feedback about this problem to Apple here:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/mobileme.html
...In Feedback Type, choose iWeb Publishing.

  • Printing Blog pages to book

Is there anyway to make blogs into books the same way we're able to order photos albums from our photos?

    Hi,
You need to upload the mobile or tablet version of your template along with the desktop version as mentioned in this article and based on the device, the corresponding template will be served automatically :http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/creating-mobile-tablet-friendly-templates .html

  • Need help with BC Blog adjustment

So I've added the blog feature to our website, built in Muse. However, I am trying to see if I can add some padding to the left and right of the blog area itself. Here's what it looks like now: http://www.martellaprinting.com/martella-printing-blog
I would like about 40px padding on both the left and right sides so that the text does not butt up to either side. I have filled the HTML code box with white so that as the blog content expands downward it looks consistent, and it will always touch the bottom. I know an option would be to give the fill in Muse a white color, but I prefer not to do this in Muse because of the way the background artwork has been set up in the Master template in Muse. If I do this, parts of the header and area where the slideshow are get filled with white. I mean, it's do-able and I would prefer the blog content itself be up against the white background instead of the laid-texture that runs throughtout the website.

Ok, I figured out a workaround in Muse. Here is the new blog page: http://www.martellaprinting.com/martella-printing-blog

  • Deleting a virtual copy from a collection

    Hi!
I just tried to implement a workflow based on collections and sometimes virtual copies instead of folders. But I ran into a problem quickly: I found no way to delete a virtual copy directly from a collection. Here is what I tried to do:
    - packing each shooting in a separate folder (like before)
    - creating a new Collection Set for this shooting and inside this one Collection "all" where I put all photos in
    - creating other Collections for the tasks that I need e.g. "print", "blog", "photobook for parents", ...
Then my idea was to use only virtual copies in these task-Collections. Creating the copies and working with them works great, as I expected. Only one little problem came out:
    - When I look to the old folder, all virtual copies are shown there -- and counted. So the displayed number of photos is nearly useless to me. Hasn't that been different in LR1 or 2?! Is there a way to change this behaviour?
But this is not the main problem. The main problem is:
    - When I decide not to use a photo from a task (which is removing the virtual copy from the collection), I found no way to *delete* the virtual copy. It is only *removed* from the collection. So I have lots of unused dead virtual copies in the original folder (which makes the displayed number even more useless).
I found one complicate workaround: Not deleting the virtual copy, but marking it with "x" as "abgelehnt" (forgot the english word, sorry :-) and later deleting all marked photos.
But even if I try hard, I will forget this sometimes.
So is there at least a way to show all virtual copies, which are not in a collection?
I found ways to either make a filter or a smart collection with only virtual copies. And I can right-click on each and look in the submenu "go to collection..." to see whether is is member of a collection. But I found no way to make this with a smart collection, because the option "not empty" is not available for the collection field.
I just found the very very complicate solution:
    - go to the folder, delete the "keep" flag from all virtual copies
    - set the "keep" flag on all photos
    - go to each collection and set the "keep" flag on all copies (or photos)
    - deleting all copies without the keep flag
This will of course also delete all virtual copies which are used in collections which I forgot to choose.
So I would like one of two things:
    - an option "delete virtual copies if removed from a collection and not member of another collection"
    - or a filter/smart collection way of showing virtual copies which are not member of any collection
At the moment, I think I will keep my old workflow which was to work with folders and snapshots. Which is also by no means free of drawbacks. Hmm, then again, when comparing: My old workflow has the risk of loosing work (when changing anything without having made a snapshow), but the new workflow has only the disadvantage of having garbage and of not knowing the number of real photos...  sounds better maybe ;-)
But maybe there is a solution for my problems?!?! Help please ;-)
    Greetings, Joerg

I found no way to delete a virtual copy directly from a collection.
    Ctrl+Alt+Chift+Delete.
Hasn't that been different in LR1 or 2?!
    No.
Is there a way to change this behaviour?
No. But if you say, you have an "all" collection in your shoot set, you can see the number there. Why judge the count from the folder? You can also use the Library Filter to filter by negatives and/or virtual copies. You can use smart collections somehow, to filter out VCs.
So is there at least a way to show all virtual copies, which are not in a collection?
Create a smart collection with the following rules:
    Copy name contains "copy"
       and
    Collection does not contain "a e u i o"
an option "delete virtual copies if removed from a collection and not member of another collection"
Use the SC above, select all, and hit Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Delete.
    - or a filter/smart collection way of showing virtual copies which are not member of any collection
    Same as above.

  • Send an alert when the BOM changed

    Hi All,
Is there any solution for send an email when the user have changed BOM in the SAP b1 ?
    Thanks,
    TuanAnh

    Hi,
There is no automatic email function to send change made in BOM. You have to create query, query layout and then you have to schedule and email to user.
    Use below query:
    SELECT T0.[Code], T0.[TreeType], T0.[UpdateDate], T1.[U_NAME] FROM OITT T0  INNER JOIN OUSR T1 ON T0.UserSign2 = T1.USERID WHERE datediff(dd, T0.[UpdateDate],getdate()) <=0
For scheduling and emailing refer below link:

  • How to Convert Blog Page in PDF and Print it Directly?

    Hi,
I have a technology tips and tricks related blog which is named TechnTechie. I want that my visitors will be able to convert all of my blog pages to PDF and also will be able to print that out with a single click with the pictures in the post. Is it possible to do that? If possible please suggest how to do that? My blog is in WordPress blog and the url is http://techntechie.com
    Thank You
    Himadri Subrah Saha

You cannot invoke "automatic" printing from the server side. Best what you can do is to download the whole PDF file inline and let the client decide what to do with it. If you really, really want to pick a page out of the PDF file and display that page only, then you should use a PDF reader API for Java to be able to pick a page programmatically. iText is such a PDF reader API for Java. You can find it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/itext

  • Printing and Emailing Draft Blog

I have a blog set up that I have not published yet. How can I print it in "save as pdf" format, or email it to a friend?
Would "publish to a folder" be an option for me here? I started to publish to a folder, but there was not place to name the file, so I wasn't exactly sure that the effect of that would be, and I want to make sure it is not yet published online because it's not finished.
    thanks

When you Publish To a Folder iWeb Publishes all of your sites from the Domain.sites project file you are working on. To only Publish individual pages to a Folder in iWeb would require them to be their own Domain.sites project file.

  • Is it possible to publish blogs to a print book?

I know that some other blog sites have the option to publish your blog entries to a printed book like a journal. The sites I have found are not compatible with iweb blogs. Does anyone know of a way to do this? I would like to have my blog entries as a "journal".

I'm not familiar with blog sites so didn't know you'd have so many individual pages. Do you have a search option to find entries by date? If so and do they all come up on one page that you could copy with Paparazzi? Don't know of any other tips at this time.

  • PRINTING A BOUND HARDCOPY OF A BLOG

I have a blog of a trip that i would like to print out in a laminated book form--like the photo albums you can get-- does anyone know of a service that does this?

Well, you can do the screenshots yourself and then send in the photos to be printed to any of the online photo places (like Snapfish, Shutterfly, Ofoto, etc). Many stores like Walgreens and Costco also do this now, too (I had calendars and little books made for Xmas!)
As far as taking the screenshots go, I like to use a little application called Paparazzi...
    http://www.derailer.org/paparazzi/
This will allow you to save images of each entire webpage without scrolling. All you have to do is to enter in the URL for each blog page and specify what image format and size you want.
Have fun with it! And if you have any questions about the process, don't hesitate to post them here. Lots of helpful people here to help you get where you want to go!

  • I want select all blog entries and print them....

Can somebody help me out? I want to clean up my iweb but would like to keep a print out. Does someone know if you can print all entries in one go???
The "select all" is light grey and does not work. It will be too much work to print every entry one by one!

There's a couple ways that I know of, time consuming a bit, but not as much as typing them into word...
    1) if on mac go to blog entry, then press ctrl and click your mouse, then hit save as, and select text..
    2) the other idea is just to select the text in the blog with your mouse and copy and paste into a text program like word...
good luck.. I've had to do this a few times....

  • Print iWeb blog into book

I want to make my iWeb created blog into a book. Is there an easy way to do it? I found a post about saving the page as a PDF but if the blog post is too big the photos are cut off. I resized the PDF but then the font is tiny and the page looks weird. (I previously had a blog on Blogger and would use Blurb.com to make a book. iWeb doesn't slurp into Blurb.)

This might not quite be what you're looking for but last year I printed my travel blog into a "home made" book.
What I did was print out the blog pages double-sided on my Canon printer that allows double-sided printing. I used good ink-jet paper so the colours wouldn't bleed through. Then I used a Canon +Photo Album Kit+ and +Image Buddy+ to arrange the blog's album pictures on the pages to print the pictures. The Canon Album kit comes with 10 double-sided pages and a hard-cover to slide all the pages into. I used their thin paper as a separator between the photo pages. I ended up using more double-sided Canon photo paper and also more regular paper to add things like maps, itinerary etc. Even with all the additions the whole album has held together over the whole year and probably holds about 100pp in all.
It's not quite as professional a product as an Apple-produced hard-cover book, but we thought it quite acceptable and while it was relatively time-consuming the first time round, it did do what we provide the book for us.
