Printing date in the actual picture?

Hi, I have iPhoto on two machines. One older and one newer. However, I cannot figure out how to save an image with the date -in- the image. My wife wants to print photos that included the date taken on the picture. Is there a way I can do this in iPhoto?
Our old camera automatically printed the date in the image, but the new one seemingly does not. The file has the information on the date and time taken, but we cannot figure out how to get that information onto the image itself.

Josh2, hi, do you have AppleWorks?
I just tried it, if you don't have too many photos to add dates to...
Open AppleWorks, click on the Drawing Starting Point. Go up to File>Insert, locate the photo you wish to date, Then click on the top left button on the tool bar, it looks like A on a graph paper background. Figure out how to choose your font color, adjust your text frame to the proper size, type the date and any comments. Click Save up in the File Menu. I made some cutesy prints. "Don't we clean up Good?" That sort of thing.
My Kodak digital has the date on photo option , it has just saved me money. Get out your instructions. If it can do it, it will tell you how to set it.

Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.

I cannot see the actual pictures on the photos page

in each picture is an icon of a Canadian flag. Only when I click on each flag can I find the actual photo. How do I get the actual pictures to show up again? I think it is one of the updates on iphoto that caused this issue. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Use the option to rebuild the thumbnails. This can take three or four goes to work.

Hi Jo Jo,
I am not sure if i understand your problem correctly.
As far as my understanding goes you are trying to reverse a GI on a date before Actual goods issue date.
If you have PGId on a date before planned GI date the system will update that date into Actual GI date and not planned GI Date.
For example if you planned GI date was 1st April 2008 and you did PGI on 28th April 2008 Actual GI date will become 28th April 2008.
So if you try to reverse PGI before 28th April you wont be allowed to as you cannot reverse a goods issue that has not happened.

Where do I find the actual pictures imported to iPhoto?

My wife imported a ton of her pictures in her user account in iPhoto. When we go see them, I only see the thumbnails and not the pictures. How is this possible? I can't seem to find the actual picture. Are we doing something wrong?

The mac enforces a variety of file permission rules by default that get in the way of sharing the same iPhoto library between users on the same system.
You may need to fix the permissions on the original folder before relocating to the Shared folder. batchmod gets good recommendations around here as a tool that eases the process of permissions management. You want to set your iPhoto library for full read/write for all users on your system. Then move the whole folder to the Shared folder. Then hold down the option key as you launch iPhoto and select the iPhoto Library folder in Shared as your new Library. Repeat the iPhoto launch w/option key from each user that wants to use that shared library.

How can I print 2 of the same pictures on 1 page with Bridge or CS4?

Need to do a very simple task. I have a picture created in photoshop that is a particular size from a template I created. I need to put 2 of these pictures on 1 page to print off, to save on paper and efficiency etc
Is a very simple task yet, I am going out of my mind trying to do this. I used Bridge after looking at tutorials. Fine, yet the 2 pictures were not their original size.

In Bridge Output Module you can create a document size and set the amount of
rows and columns to your own wishes.
A portrait sized paper with two landscape pictures needs 1 column and 2
rows. You can also set the size for space around the images using the
options for Output Module.
If you have the CS5 edition you can also create a template for this.
Wether the size changes depends on the given document size and the abilty
for your printer to print borderless or not.

Check user master records for date format. Which tool did you use SapScript or Smartforms, you could alsop look for date formatting in those tools.

Photos now carry generic icons instead of a the actual picture

While taking screenshots one day, I noticed that all the pictures on my desktop had that ugly, generic picture icon (you know, the sheet of paper with the picture of Preview's icon on it?) instead of the mini copy of the actual photo they usually do. I went back through my pictures folder and half of them retained their cute little copy of themselves, and the other half are the generic blank.
WHY?!
I didn't realize how useful this feature was until this happened, and I want it back! Other types of files that generally do this, like PDFs remain thankfully unharmed. Help, please

OK, this seems the closest thread to what's going on here. I've got a late-2008 Macbook Pro, 10.5.8. Icons on the desktop and in finder windows are showing generic icons instead of the application-specific ones. Funny thing is, if I do a relaunch of the Finder (option-click/hold Finder icon in dock to bring up the menu), the specific icons will show up, but after a second or two will switch back to the generic ones. ??

Problem printing date on the form

Hello friends ,
I am doing form for the HR . Is there any special formatting needed to print the date on the form . I am doing this .
&t_payment-paydate& in the main window of the form .
t_payment is the table and paydate the date of payment . But instead of printing 1/22/2006 . It is printing 3//20/07/2 some junk value . Is it the format related problem ?
Any suggestions . You help would be greatly appreciated .

You can do like this.
You make the following changes in the program
1. Define a character type field
     data: v_payment_date(10) type c.
2. Assign the date value to the character field
      write t_payment-paydate to v_payment_date.
You make the following changes in your sapscript text element.
    instead of using field t_payment-paydate use v_payment_date.

Where are the actual picture FILES?

I have a 3rd party photo editor/printing utility that I would like to try, but when trying to "select" a photo by drilling to the file path, the photos and/or iPhoto library are no where to be found, only pics that are in the MY PICTURES folder - is there any way to select a picture that is in the iPhoto library??

Print data to the beginning of a file

Hi,
I have written this code to wite data to a textfile:
PrintWriter FeedStream = new PrintWriter(new FileOutputStream(feed_path, true));
FeedStream.println(text);
FeedStream.close();The code works fine but it writes the data at the end of the file whereas I want it at the beginning of the file. How to solve this?

Well, the reason is that I want to print the data in another application and saving the data this way is more convenient.
E.g.
application 1 prints this to a file:
L1 Test=45
L2 Temp=10
then the same application maybe has to write more data to the file at another time, and adding:
L1 Test=39
L2 Temp=12
However application 2 that monitors the file every 6h should analyse the data from the newst to the oldest. For the conveniance when parsing the file with application 2 I want to add the data to the beginning of the file.

CRIO-9068 time synchronization and data timestamping - the Big Picture

I'm working with a number of cRIO-9068 chassis that are distributed over a large physical area. I wish to timestamp data acquired be these chassis with microsecond resolution and relative accuracy. The various documents that I've run across hint at how this might be accomplished but none of them really describe the overall architecture for synchronization of chassis clocks over a network and acquisition of the local clocks for the purpose of data timestamping. Is there a document that addresses this topic?

Editing date in Organizer - but how can i 'hard' write that new date to the actual files?

Hi, i have a number of files which were created by digitizing about 40 anolog tapes. These tapes have been 'split' into clips(largish) using AV cutty software [it worked v well] and therefore have about 25 avi files per tape.
I have now imported all of these from folders) into Organizer to tag etc before creating projects in Premiere.
However, I can amend the dates in Organizer (some of the clips have timestamp on the screen) BUT i want this to be hard-coded back to the original files - is there any way to do this. Otherwise will i have to edit the dates of the clips in Windows Explorer, using something like AttributeMagic

PS I fully understand that Orginzer is purely referential, but is there NO way to allow the data (eg tags/dates to be writtrn back to the source files?)
I wonder if I should look at other video software tools?

PC drives geerally are formatted MBR (master boot record) on the drive and NTFS partitions.
Mac can read NTFS but not write it unless you buy additional software.
Do you want to keep that drive's files for read access, or is your PC-world done?

Pictures on websites print as black squares instead of the actual picture.

All my pictures have a red flag instead of the actual picture?

I have tried to go on several sites and all the pictures or login bars are missing there is a small red flag in its place. It is fine in internet explorer just not firefox. How can I get the pictures back?
