Printing slides with Word

I work with Captivate 3 and I'm trying to print slides with
word. I'm working with Flash Player 3 as well.
Each time, a error message appears saying that Word could be
occupied.... And it's not the case.
As anybody had the same problem ?

Print Slides With Notes: change size/layout of elements?

Is there any way to change the template Keynote uses when printing Slides With Notes? I'd like to reduce the size of the slide & increase the size of the Notes box.

Here is a somewhat klunky workaround that I use
First make a custom paper size that is bigger than the paper you will end up printing to (I use 8 1/2 by 16 to print to 5 1/2 by 8 1/2)
When you go to print the keynote file change to this paper size in page setup
Then instead of printing save to a pdf file
Open the pdf with Adobe Acrobat Reader
Set the paper size to the size you actually want in the page setup dialog
Go to the copies and pages drop down menu and select "paper handling"
Click the "reduce to fit" item
Print the file
If anyone has a simpler way I would love to know it too!

When printing slides with notes, only notepart shown on screen is included

I make presentations with really long presenters notes. During presentation I can scroll the presenters notes on screen with U and D, but my problem is when printing the slides with notes, only the part of the notes that is shown on screen is printing, so I sometimes half of the note section on a slide.
Is there a work around, or is it just the way life is?

I too am having the same issue. I am trying to print out a monthly calendar like I see on the screen. At the most on any given day I have 4 lines of text. It shows on the screen but when I print it puts 3 little dots above that particular day to let me know there is more to it and refuses to print more than 3 items. I have tried with different page set ups and all I am doing is wasting ink. What's worse, is that there is PLENTY of room left on the paper. There is so much room between the month label and where the calendar starts there certainly has to be a way to adjust this. (I would hope!) Anyone please help! Thanks in advance.

Printing slides with notes

I successfully imported a presentation from Power Point to Keynote 4.1. When I went to print individual slides with notes, only a portion of the background graphic was printed and none of the foreground slide material printed. The slide had the following error message
ERROR: undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND: @=U77LJNM;i,UPtn4
STACK:
The same slides print fine in PowerPoint.
Anyone seen this problem? Anyone have a solution?

I solved my own problem. The answer was right under my nose.

Printing issues with Word and embedded excel

we are using word 2003 with embedded excel blocks. The issue is we have a 9040n printer in one office where the document is created, but when we come to another office and try printing the word document on a 9050 printer, the document looks different. I've tryed using current pcl 6 drivers on both printers with no luck, and now if have ther 9040 PCL 6 driver on both printers with the same issues happening? Any Ideas, please help!!

I came across your question and wondered if you could help me. I just bought a macpro with leopard and am having a heck of a time getting it to work with my design jet 800ps which is connected by usb cable. I installed the driver for the printer from the leopard cd but to no avail. The printer shows up in the printer list but when I send a file nothing happens. I have been on the phone with HP but nothing seems to make a difference.

Publish-Printing Problem with Word

In Short. Captivate 2. Installation of Word Office Suite has
caused an error to appear when trying to publish a file in Handout
or Storyboard mode. In fact in any Word output format.
Error says it's looking for a doc file that is installed with
Captivate 2, obviously, said file is no longer valid.
I've got a huge, cumbersome project on the go, and have to
output handout versions for the client to review narration scripts
and translations.
Will upgrading be my only answer? Please tell me something
less expensive than that.

Which version of Word are you using? I know that some people have had issues when printing/exporting things to Word 2007.

EHS- WWI Label printing issues with Word 2007

I was wondering if anybody was experiencing issues when printing WWI labels from transaction CG54
when user has Microsoft Word 2007 ? Our users our seeing delays/pausing between labels when they have
Word 2007. We do not see this pause on the users machines that have Word 2003. I did not see any OSS Notes,
does anybody have a solution/work around for this ? Our desktop GUI is at Support Pack 21 and our
server is at Support pack 22. Any ideas ?

**HELP** Need to print keynote with each slide taking the full page

I just put a keynote presentation together and saved it as a powerpoint. Now that I am trying to print it, the slide only takes a small portion of the page. I need to make sure the slide fits standard letter size and fits the whole page. I want to print one slide per page and have a presentation tomorrow. please help and thank you

Welcome to the forums!
You don't give any detail - what, exactly, you are doing (keystrokes, etc.), which program you're trying to print from (KN or PP), and what your settings are, so I'll guess: you're trying to print from KN. When you try to PRINT, in the window which appears you have checked "Slides with Notes". Those notes, even if there's nothing written there, are probably what's taking away space from the slide on your print-out. Instead, check "Individual Slides" (you should see the results of this reflected in the example print-out on the left: the slide should now take up most of the page, rather than just the upper portion of it). To make your slide even a bit bigger, make sure "Use page margins" (under OPTIONS) is unchecked.
If I've guessed wrong, or my solution doesn't work, come back with more details.

Calibri font not printing - created with Acrobat XI pro 11.0.4 in Word 2007

Hi, we recently upgraded to Adobe Acrobat XI pro (11.0.4) and when we create a PDF in Word using the Calibri fonts, it doesn't print when using Adobe Reader X.
Prints ok when using Quark or other software, just not working with Office.

We are in a controlled office environment and unfortunately we cannot receive updates due to company policies. We have to wait until they do another "package" with an upgraded version.
It's printing ok with Adobe Reader XI, but not Reader X (which is our actual default Reader). And again they cannot install Reader XI to all (only me since I'm a graphic designer, I have admin rights). We tried on other printers, not working too. Font is embeded too. It's working when using another PDF maker (like we have PDF X Change, it's working). Was working also with our previous Acrobat X Pro.

Cannot change Printer Properties in Word 2010 with J6480. Properties revert to default setting

When I attempt to change Printer Properties in Word 2010, they simply revert back to the default setting. I am unable to use the Printer Properties within the Word 2010. If the default is grayscale, that is all the printer will print unless I change the default setup in the Control Panel. It appears to be an incompatibility with Office 2010 software as other programs allow the change of Printer properties.

I have the exact identical problem. Brand new printer (HP PhotoSmart C4780) on a brand new PC (Windows 7). I cannot access the printer properties dialog box when the PDF file has been opened in an embedded Adobe Viewer window in Internet Explorer.
When I select [Print] from Word or Adobe Viewer, or anywhere else, I can then press the [Properties] button and it opens the printer properties just fine.
But if I open a PDF document through Internet Explorer, clicking on that [Properties] button doesn't do anything. No error or anything. If I press the [Save] in the Adobe Acrobet-embedded Internet Explorer window, it too does nothing. This leads me to think it is an Adobe Acrobat issue. However, I have found nothing in their support forums on this topic.
Does anyone out there have any ideas?

Print with Adobe PDF printer driver from Word: Stripes in images

I use Acrobat 8 Professional (Version 8.1.3) on Windows XP SP3 (german version). I'd like to create a PDF out of a Word document by printing with the "Adobe PDF" printer driver. I have a problem with an image containing large unicolored areas: In the PDF there are recognizeable stripes in the colors of the image. This is when viewing the PDF with Acrobat 8 Professiona, when importing a page containung such an image into Photoshop, and when printing such an image.
The image is an RGB TIF, but I tried it with a CMYK TIF as well as with an RGB BMP. The reault - when printed out of Word - is the same. If I print the same image to a PDF from InDesign, then everything is fine, no stripes.
Does anybody know how to optimize this?

Sorry, I should have mentioned this, of course. Well the document is a DOC (because it was prepared by co-workers with Word 2003). I use Word 2007, when I opened the DOC Word switched to "compatability mode" (not sure about the exact English term, I work with German versions). But even when saving the document under a new name, I kept it as a DOC, so my co-workers would be able to open it again at their computers with Word 2003.
My Acrobat is already version 8.1.6 and because I always install Windows Updates that the automatic update service offers, I guess my Word 2007 is also up to date.
But sure, if I can be of any other help, let me know...

Having problem printing #10 envelopes on Hp c410a printer from MS Word 2003 on MS XP system, I have tried all the options under the MS Word program and as well under the printer setup options. I just can not get it to print.

How to do two sided printing automatically with HP 7520 printer

All that I am trying to do is to make my printer do two sided or double sided printing. No matter what I check IT DOES NOT WORK. I checked "2-sided, 1 to 2, NOTHING. What amazes me is that this worked until recently and now it just will not do double sided printing. I am probably doing something wrong, but WHAT?

Generally speaking, duplex printing is accessed / adjusted from Printing Preferences.
If you are printing from within an application, for example, within Word or within your Browser, you might reach Printing Preferences from Print Preview.

1.5.1 - printing problem with HP DesignJet 90

I made several 18" x 24" prints using 1.5 on the HP DJ 90 this morning and they printed fine, as they always have.
After upgrading to 1.5.1, the first print ceased printing at 20", the next at 8".
There were no other equipment changes before or after the upgrade.
I reverted to 1.5 and the back-up Aperture library and the same image printed perfectly, suggesting there is a problem with 1.5.1 and the Hewlett Packard DesignJet 90.
I will report this problem to Apple though Aperture software.

Something's fishy. Save as PDF should result a file that looks exactly, precisely, like what you'd get if you printed directly to your printer.
I suspect your Word document has been corrupted by a few bytes of random data that is causing your printer to go nuts. Try cutting that portion out of the document, and pasting it in a new blank document so you can incrementally isolate the damage.
This isn't going to be as easy as it sounds, because when the PostScript printer driver encounters the errant code in the Word document, it's essentially telling the printer "now, go to the top of this page, print a nasty black smudge, and then crash." You might have to cut a whole page before and after the suspected corruption. If you're lucky you might be able to cut the portion then paste it right back as "unformatted text". Try that.
