Printing Slides

I want to print multiple slides on a page. I followed the directions given up until Copies & Pages. I had that pop up menu appear the other day, but now it doesn't show itself. I watched the video tutorial and see exactly where it should be, but it doesn't show up. Can anybody help?

The "copies and pages" drop down menu in Keynote '08 is now hidden. There is an arrow to the RIGHT of the printer selection drop down arrows. Click on that arrow, and the familiar "copies and pages" menu should appear.

How to make vintage prints slide show one photo at a time?

Does anyone know to program the vintage prints slide show to display only one photo at a time?

The slideshow templates are fixed and can't be changed.

You get what you pay for.

Printing slides with Word

I work with Captivate 3 and I'm trying to print slides with
word. I'm working with Flash Player 3 as well.
Each time, a error message appears saying that Word could be
occupied.... And it's not the case.
As anybody had the same problem ?

Print Slides With Notes: change size/layout of elements?

Is there any way to change the template Keynote uses when printing Slides With Notes? I'd like to reduce the size of the slide & increase the size of the Notes box.

Here is a somewhat klunky workaround that I use
First make a custom paper size that is bigger than the paper you will end up printing to (I use 8 1/2 by 16 to print to 5 1/2 by 8 1/2)
When you go to print the keynote file change to this paper size in page setup
Then instead of printing save to a pdf file
Open the pdf with Adobe Acrobat Reader
Set the paper size to the size you actually want in the page setup dialog
Go to the copies and pages drop down menu and select "paper handling"
Click the "reduce to fit" item
Print the file
If anyone has a simpler way I would love to know it too!

Page Layout when Printing slides from Keynote

I don't often print my Keynote presentations, but I would like to be able to print FOUR slides on one sheet (landscape format) with one slide in each quadrant or corner. All I can select --as far as I can tell-- is a single column with all 4 slides minutely scaled down the page. The slides are far toooooooo small to read. CAN I CHANGE THE LAYOUT FOR PRINTING SO THAT HAVE 2 COLUMNS OF 2 SLIDES EACH? Many thanks for your suggestions!

When I do Print > Handouts > 4 slides per page, it puts the slides stacked on top of one another (ie 1 column of slides, 4 rows). I assume you would want to have 2 columns of slides and two rows. I don't know how to do this in Keynote, but if you are in Keynote, just do a File > Export > PDF. If you are printing in color, I'd select Image Quality > Best. Once you have the PDF of the presentation, open it with Preview. From Preview, do a File > Print. When the Print "window" comes up, you select your landscape orientation. At the bottom of the window, you will see a dropdown option that says "Images per page" and select 4. This should do the trick.
Be careful when you do the export from Keynote to PDF. There are a lot of options to include or exclude page numbers, builds, etc. in the PDF.

Adding print slide or window button

I am trying to print the quiz results page and the only thing I can find is to add a smart shape button and change the action to "execute_JavaScript". In the script_window i'm simply adding one line of code "window.print()". The problem I'm running into is when I publish my project the slide containing the print button shows up completely blank. Any idea whay I am doing wrong here? I tried adding a widget as well, but my system does not have a print widget available.

Where do you see the target='_top"? I went looking for the original button from my original post which was in the http://web.me.com/toad.hall/HelperSite//Page1_files/widget3markup.html page via the Activity window and view source and this is what the code of that widget page is:

Javascript to print slide AND hide playbar

Hi all,
I know I can use the simple javascript window.print() to print a slide, but when I do that it also prints the print button and playbar. Is there a way - I'm sure there is, I just don't know how.... to hide the playbar, hide the print button, print the page and then show the playbar or a continue button again? I want my users to be able to print just the slide content.
Oh, running CP7 64 but on a windows 8 machine.

Very unusual, Here are some more questions to help nail down the issue.
Are both date text lines in form fields? What are the form field names? i.e. is this an exact copy of the existing form field? What are the settings that differentiate the two fields, i.e. Rotation, etc.?
Could the script be somehow getting run twice?
On another note, why are you naming all of the fields differently. It looks like they all get the same info. If this is true then you could simplify the script by making them all the same name. You would not need the loop to apply the date text.

I'm Having trouble printing slides

I'm trying to print out slide for school and I'm trying to get it in the layout where the paper is vertical and there are 6 slides to one page dispersed evenly and it's just not working. Does anyone know how to get it in that layout!!! Im using a mac pro and keynote 09!

I have not been able to get this to work in Keynote. You can print 6 slides per page and have them dispersed evenly, but only horizontally (landscape). What I have found the easiest work around to be is, in Pages, set up a page that has 6 pictures Defined as Placeholders sized as spaced as you prefer. Then in Keynote, export to pdf and drag and drop into the pages doc. Then you can print the pages doc just like normal.

Printing slides from Captivate

I am a new Captivate user and I can't find this info anywhere.
I use Captivate to build presentations, but the other SME's don't have Captivate to make edits.When we used Powerpoint for presentations, our standard practice was to convert the Powerpoint presentation to PDF and print the PDF for each SME to make notes on. My SME's would like to be able to print the Captivate presentation in order to make notes, the same way they used to print Powerpoint slides.
I also need to be able to use each Captivate slide for a handbook. I am hoping there is an easy way to do this, rather than taking screenshots of each slide....
I use Adobe Captivate, and I have Adobe Acrobat 9. My SME's only have Adobe Reader. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Printing slides from keynote

How do you print 3,6, or 9 slides to a page from iPad Keynote to use as a handout?

If you want one full slide per page, print "Individual slides". For a nice layout of multiple slides without notes lines, choose "Individual Slides" and change the Layout/Pages per sheet to 6 (or whatever) per page. Then you don't waste any space on notes lines. It still will show in the preview that you are printing one slide/page but when I tried it, it printed 6 slides/page without being crammed into the corner of the page.

Looking for java script to print slide

Hey everyone,
The print widget and playbar print don't always work too well. Does anyone have a java script they are willing to share with me that will print a single slide and/or a set of slides?

Hi Lori
I think it may depend on your browser. If the browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer, sometimes you have make adjustments to coax something like a Flash file to print. You might try clicking File > Page setup... and see if you have the option for printing Background Colors and Images.

When printing slides with notes, only notepart shown on screen is included

I make presentations with really long presenters notes. During presentation I can scroll the presenters notes on screen with U and D, but my problem is when printing the slides with notes, only the part of the notes that is shown on screen is printing, so I sometimes half of the note section on a slide.
Is there a work around, or is it just the way life is?

I too am having the same issue. I am trying to print out a monthly calendar like I see on the screen. At the most on any given day I have 4 lines of text. It shows on the screen but when I print it puts 3 little dots above that particular day to let me know there is more to it and refuses to print more than 3 items. I have tried with different page set ups and all I am doing is wasting ink. What's worse, is that there is PLENTY of room left on the paper. There is so much room between the month label and where the calendar starts there certainly has to be a way to adjust this. (I would hope!) Anyone please help! Thanks in advance.

Customise Vintage Prints Slide show

I've tried to make a slide show with the Aperture 3.4.5 and I liked the Vintage Prints theme. The only problem is, how can I decide if one or two pictures are displayed on a slide. I've tried to find an answer on the web, the only partial answer I found was this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2678967?start=0&tstart=0 but I didn't manage to apply the solution.

Printing slides with notes

I successfully imported a presentation from Power Point to Keynote 4.1. When I went to print individual slides with notes, only a portion of the background graphic was printed and none of the foreground slide material printed. The slide had the following error message
ERROR: undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND: @=U77LJNM;i,UPtn4
STACK:
The same slides print fine in PowerPoint.
Anyone seen this problem? Anyone have a solution?

I solved my own problem. The answer was right under my nose.

CP 8 Print Slide

I'm trying to add some sort of a print function to a custom certificate I have created at the end of my Adobe Captivate 8 project. Captivate 8 comes with a certificate Learning Interaction, but the certificates look cheap. I found some articles where people have used window.print(); on a button, but this is just a print screen and not very professional looking. I found another article where it said you can use the print theme in skin editor, but when I do this the print button doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea why this is? Is this because I created a responsive project? I'm almost ready to pay the $20 for a third party print button, but it just doesn't make sense to me that this program wouldn't be equipped with this feature - especially for the price I paid! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

But I just noticed that the button won;t work when publishing to HTML5, so I guess it's back to the drawing board. I may try contacting Adobe directly to see if they can help with this one, as I think this basic functionality that should be included with any program.
