Printing with Lithuanian language without installing it in SAP 4.6 C system

Hello Expert guys ,
I have 4.6C that is non unicode system for one of my customer .
Customer wants to print sapscript document (some line in document are entered in Lithuania characters from pc with Lithuania os on it )
On sap system it looks good but when spool is gerenated and printing is done with LOCL printer which is
having device type as SAPWIN5 ,the output print has garbage for those text
Customer do not want that language to be installed now . Also I tried to create a new device type copy of SAPWIN 5/sapwin and assigning it with character set similar to cyrillic like 500,501,1505,1513 ,1617 but in vain
I am not sure on wether I should use LAtin2 or cyrillic or any other character set
Can sombody help me in this as this is requred to solved as early as possible

Does that mean I will put 1900 as character set in that device type and assign it to printer and then print with that ?

How to have icons with a WM (without installing a whole DE)

Hi!
I was wondering if it was possible to have desktop icons with TWM/FluxBox/IceWM alone, without installing a desktop environment. As far as I know, file managers do this in DEs but then simply installing a file manager while running a WM doesn't put icons on the screen...

Thank you guys! I actually searched not only through the wiki but tried to google it too. Now I feel sorry to have opened a thread that can be solved with a link from the wiki. Maybe I should have looked better... Nevertheless, thank you for the information.
I was trying to make a lightweight system so looks like nautilus isn't for me (as Trilby said I will need to install gnome too, which is too heavy for my goals). I will however try to make it show the files that are in /user/Desktop/ for the sake of it... I don't like leaving things halfway done! Then I will maybe move on to rox and pcmanfm but one thing is for sure - I LOVE icons and it doesn't matter how lightweight a system is, for me, it is a must to have icons

I haven't thought about these icons you said. I actually wanted that everything in /user/Desktop be showed on the desktop but I sure think that those you suggested would come in handy too. I will think about them after I have finished the main task, that is - the /user/Desktop/ thing

P&L report printing with 2 languages

Hello all, my P&L statements are printing with a combination of English and another language. I'm not sure why it's doing this, since all my other financial reports are in English. Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks in advance.

HP6380 will not print with Windows 7 new install

I have an HP 6380 All-in-one printer. It has never given me any problem when
printing in Vista. We purchased a new laptop for the Wife with Win 7. I
installed the printer on there with no problems.
I then decided to upgrade my laptop to 7 Ultimate. What I did was set my laptop as a dual boot machine and Win7 then became a full install, not upgrade.
When I did network printer discovery, 7 performed a search, found the printer,
and set it up. I did the test page print with success. I could not print
anything past that point and subsequent test pages failed.
I went to the HP web site and found a driver download that was supposed to
include 7 support. The installed printer was removed and I ran the new setup.
Still nothing past the initial test page would print. Further research on the HP
site made reference to a patch and reboot which did not fix the problem. There
was another utility on HP site that removed all installed printer files to allow
a fresh install, no luck.
At this point I decided to compare the printer properties between the Wife's
system and mine. Her system called to a port labeled WSD Port HP38147 (HP
Photosmart 6300 Series).
On mine, the reference was to a TC/IP port with the network address of
192.168.1.102.
I tried to change this to a local port also.
There was NO option for a WSD port, and when I tried to add a port, the only
options were Local or TCP/IP.
For now I am having to save items for printing, then go to my Vista via
dual-boot and print there, a royal PIA.
In Vista BTW the port is labeled Standard TC/IP port HP Photosmart C6300 Series.

Did you delete the printer in Devices and Printers and re-add it?

Cannot print with Lexmark 7600 after installing Lion

Since installing Lion I haven't been abe to print. I use a Lexmark 7600 series. I reinstalled the printer a couple of times and I just downloaded the latest software update for the printer. The printer installs and I can see it in my system preferences but nothing happens when I click the print button. Not even an error message. I have tried both wirelessly and plugging in to the phisical printer. My other computer with Snow Leopard still prints without problems.

We had similar problems with a Brothers printer just today. I suspected the driver was faulty but had the same results after a fresh software download from Apple, and one from Brothers web site. How to submit a report to printer with specified language?

It's very strange that there's no parameter which can specify language when submit a report to printer, then how can I print Chinese when logon in English? I can display Chinese correctly in screen and spool by set the SY-LANGU = '1', but it doesn't work with printer. Furthermore, the customer have lots of Chinese users but they won't install the Chinese language package.

Connecting to wifi printer with G4 after Mavericks installed on main computer

I have discovered that my G4 PowerBook did not see the Epson RX730 printer after Mavericks was installed on my iMac. I downloaded the Epson software onto the G4 from the EPSON site and tried installing that way. It didn't work but also on the Epson dmg is an app called "Install Navi". Have your G4 ready to move, as it guides you through to taking the G4 next to the printer within 4 minutes of installation. The G4 then connects with the wifi Epson printer. I think that this problem first arose with Mountain Lion, but as I moved directly from Lion to Mavericks, I had not encountered the problem earlier.

The network should have shown up on the AirPort menu automatically. There is no need to run the assistant.
Try this:
Open the Network preference pane.
Open the AirPort item.
Click the "Options..." button.
From the "If no preferred networks are found:" drop down, select either "Automatically join an open network" or "Ask before joining an open network".

Help with testing MultitouchInputMode without installing on phone

I am sure there is an easy answer that I am over looking. But would someone please help me.
I am programming with Flash 5.5. My app uses MultitouchInputMode.TOUCH_POINT and I would like to be able to test without having to create the ipa, move to iTunes and install on iPhone.
I tried to get Adobe Device Central to emulate the iPhone but could not seem to get it set up correctly to do this.
Can you point me to a specific tutorial or give a few steps in the right direction? Thank you for your help!

Device Central will not work for that use case. Although it does support emulation of multi-touch, it is only for browser based content.
You are going to have to install your .ipa on a device to properly test it.

Printing with Airport Express without an internet connection?

I have a printer which I would like to print from my MacBook Air wirelessly.
I don't have any network connections neither a internet connection since I use a wireless broadband card.
So my question is, do I need to have a internet connection for the airport express or can I just use it as a wireless to print.

Though you don't need an internet connection (which technically you have with your broadband card), I have read of an issue with connecting to more than one network (i.e. AirPort Express and your wireless broadband). If there is an issue, then it is possible you will have to switch to the Express for printing and back to your wireless broadband when your are not.

Canon mp620 printer with no cd cannot install

A friend gave me his Canon mp620 printer. Unfortunatly he doesn't have the CD anymore and the software I downloaded isn't compleate for first time use. I anyone can help me please do as I've already spent hours trying to make this work.

You may be stuck as far as the scanning function is concerned. I haven't been able to locate a scanner driver. Can you ask the person who gave it to you to look for the software disc for it?

Don't ask me how to do wireless printing, though. I never figured that out.

HP F4480 not printing with Mac (OS 10.9 / Mavericks)

I've followd the instructions for setting up the driver on my Mac and it shows up when I try to print something but nothing prints when I click print and nothing is showing up in the queue.
Has anyone else had this issue / know how to fix it?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I see you tried adding your HP Deskjet F4480 to your Mac running the Mavericks 10.9.4 Operating system, when you try to print nothing happens it does not go into the print queue.
Because you are using the Mavericks OS X you must install the printer using the Apple Updates. Please click on the link below, this document explains how to install the print driver on a Mac for a USB or a network connection. The OS X v10.9 Mavericks driver for your printer is available through Apple Software Update (ASU). Additionally, you can perform basic print jobs using AirPrint without installing a driver.

I want you to check out the FAQs at the bottom of the above document, make sure you installed correctly.
Once you have installed the DJ F4480, you may notice the features you once had are limited or there are workarounds, for scanning with or without HP Software see below:

LJ M127fw doesn't print with user rights

Good afternoon.
Printer hp lj m127fw connected via USB doesn't print with user rights in the OS Windows 7 x64. It prints only with administrator rights, although some computers print with user rights without any action. We noticed, as well, that scanning and printing pictures are always available with user rithts.

I would suggest the following: log on as administrator. Click Start, Devices and Printers, right click on the Laserjet M127FW, select Printer Properties, Security. Select Everyone and give permission for printing (and whatever else is desired), Apply.

Not able to select setup language while installing Crystal report2011.

Hi,
I am using windows 7 and trying to install Crystal report 2011 and SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 on my system. I have Java 7 update 51 version on my system.
I am unable to select setup language while installing Crystal Reports2011/SAP BO4.0. It does not show default language 'as English' over there.
It shows all fields with # sign like #Choosesetuplanguage# and other buttons also appears like this #Ok# and #cancel#. It does not show any language in drop-down, hence I am not able to select language from drop-down box. Drop-down box is blank.
When I click on #Ok# button it shows new message like #Validation failed#.
Please help.

mmmm. That is odd, must be something missing or permission problem.
Log out and log back in as the local PC Adminsitrator and do a repair install, may have to completely uninstall and re-install it again.
That messed up dialog text suggests you don't have something installed correctly or access denied error.
Look in the install log, should be in your \%user%\AppData\Local\Temp folder. See if it has any access denied errors.
But try instlaling under local PC Admin account first.
